UK Haul :D (Through My Parents)

Yes, you read that right.
Through my parents! LOL.

They just came back from the UK. They were there for my sister's graduation.

I didn't ask for much, I actually got all the things I asked for, and some.

My dad kinda indulged in some pricey skincare ( ;^; ) I feel like they scammed him! (I wish he'd remember the price tbh, so I can check)

If it works well though, then I'd be in a pickle to see if I'd EVER repurchase them XD

My mom bought me some questionable clothes. In small sizes because she thought I'm stick thin now.

Anyway, here's what they got me~

Mom's Picks.

The blue shirt is from Forever21. I quite liked that one.

It fits well.

THEN comes the weird shirt with tassels everywhere! Mom thought it'd suit me.

Uh. Mommmmmmmm noooo.

Plus it's S-sized. I'm an L.

It fits, but I look so fat in it.

Plus, my niece said I looked like a bird.

The black lace shirt is pretty but...it's a lace backing and lace peplum and stuff.

Looks good but too revealing and I look fat XD

The white lace shirt is cute but mom got it in M-size u.u;

I look super fat.

To fit these small clothes, I need to lose at least 5-10KG.

She also got me this sweater from H&M. It fits fine.

Dad's Picks.

Dad got me some cute trousers :D it looks nice.

He also picked a Dorothy Perkins' dress~

Mom insisted on choosing a smaller size but thankfully dad decided to keep the larger one.

By far, the dress is my favourite.

I've been slowly trying to see if the Peter Pan collar fits me but mom took it very seriously and chose it all based on that XD;

But yeah, losing that much weight might be beneficial for me.

Soap&Co. Stuff

When dad took this out of his bag, he was like "This cost 100+ pounds."

He said this while taking out the Body Scrub.

I was like "WHAT."

A scrub that cost that much??? FOR REAL?? DAD!!!

After all the confusion it turned out that overall everything cost that much.

Still, quite expensive really.

I feel like the saleslady scammed him though :x

Dad got me the Ocean Body Scrub, Mineral Peeling Gel and the quite popular Nail Kit in Passion.

Next are the things I asked from my mom!

MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer (BOGO I think)

She bought two of the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder in Transparent.

LUSH is LOVE.

Then comes the things I asked for from LUSH :D

She got all the things I wanted plus one extra.

LUSH gave some free disposable makeup applicators since my mom asked lol.

I wished they gave some samples from their soap or something!

I tried both Herbalism and Mask of Magnaminty...

LOVED the smell of the mask!! It's like Peppermint & Pistachio Ice Cream!

It contains no pistachios though.

My first Coach bag.

Mom decided to buy everyone a Coach bag.

( =w=* ) MOMMMM.

I have the purple one lol. It's for Raya so I didn't mind.

I personally don't really like Coach, to be completely honest.

How pretty is that??

Last but not least, a shawl from my sister.

I chose a blue one to fit my with new baju kurung.

Well, I hope it'll fit!

I feel spoiled :x Alhamdulillah though!

I wished the clothes were a lot bigger though, but still, it acts as motivation to lose weight XD

Headache-y Haul

Hi guys!
Sorry I've been neglecting my blog for a bit ):

I'm actually having a migraine right now x.x; dunno what caused it.

I've been busy doing chores and stuff, plus my parents are away. Half of my family is away u.u; so my brother's family moved in~

That means I can spend more time with Baby Qawi~~

He always one leg up when he watches Pocoyo!

Not very talkative for a baby though.

We sent of my family to UK yesterday, so yeah, I'm alone on the second floor of my house ):

Surprisingly, I'm not that scared.

I won't say that I'm used to it but yeah.

I went with a casual approach in clothes. Just an oversized shirt that makes me look pregnant.

Today though, I went out with my bro's family for dinner and I really wanted to go to Tony Moly for their Birthday Sale XD

70% off baby!!

I only got three things though.

Because I don't want something I don't really need or have many of.

I don't have many bases lol nor do I have this cute clear pact. I hope it's good.

I'm in love with the smell of the Cappuccino scrub BUT since I have migraine, it made it worst D:

So yeah, instead of spending BND61.70 I got these for BND18.50!! Talk about bargain!

Other than Tony Moly, I also went to SKH for some daily necessities.

I ran out of my scrub and also uh, um, feminine wash.

I also bought a lotion just because I needed something more convenient.

Unfortunately I accidentally took the bigger lotion :x so it cost a bit more than I had intended to spend.

Other than that, I also got myself some uh, pads LOL.

 

Last but not least~

Got myself some hair ties XD

I've been using my Japanese hair tie for a lot of things so I really needed something new.

Got 5 lol.

You know what I hate about chores?

I just painted my nails the other day and this happened:

Actually, on the third day, it was already chipping ): usually with my TFS top coat, it'd last longer.

The colours are pretty but they sure are a b**ch to put on!!

And hard to clean too!!

Recent Buys and A Birthday Outing

Due to my depression and manic breakdowns recently, I kinda go back and forth between normalcy and well, screeching banshee. I scream a lot when I have my breakdowns, never good for my vocal chords. Kinda sad because my vocals are quite important.

Anyway, gonna list out what I've been buying recently :)

I hauled another e.l.f haul just because I could that day, I like the things I got more compared to last time :) which is good. I'm technically broke as of today. Not gonna lie. LOL.

Maybe that's good.

Anyway, on to the things!!!

4 eyeshadows, two lipglosses and a pressed powder.

I really liked everything, I was surprised. The funny thing about Brunei's import of e.l.f is that they ordered all the dark shades. What? Are we that dark? I doubt it. No. LOL. Weird.

I decided to get the powder because I've always wanted a contouring powder PLUS this is matte. Win!!!

I tried it today, it seemed okay. I just wish my cheeks weren't blemished ):

I didn't get the shadow palette for the eyeshadows because it was expensive lol.

I'm loving the glosses, they might be a bit sticky and drying than my Baby Lips BUT I think the smell and flavour makes up for it. Now my lips can smell and taste like coffee XDD without the caffeine :D

I'm kinda happy with this as it's not muddy brown :) and it's not too dark for me either.

I'll post swatches of the shadows and this powder when I have time :)

I also got this today during my outing with my friends to celebrate her birthday :)

It's a salt scrub and I just decided to try it out :)

YOKO Cucumber Spa Salt

Here are the ingredients. Except for the fragrance I think it's okay. 

This is how it looks like :) it smells so yummy :D more to melons than cucumber though!

Drama and Anger Management :(

I have unresolved anger.
I've been keeping it in.

Until it burst out today. It's more like a World War 3 with my family today.

It's to do with SkinFood. Wow. Yeah.
I've been loving the brand like hell nowadays. Isn't it quite obvious??

But yeah, they went to Miri today and I asked them to get me some peeling gel and concealer.

It's funny how I got both that I wasn't looking forward too much.

It always happens.

Oh btw, Chlorella Peeling Gel is discontinued???
D: but I think they still have it in Brunei.

That's it, I'm stocking up next time I go.

Yeah.

I hope they don't increase the price just because of that!

Because I'm looking forward to trying it.

I don't want to write about what actually happened because I already kinda mended it....ish

But I got the Rice Concealer Tip in #23 and the Pineapple Peeling Gel.

It's so pretty :O

I hope it works, the peeling gel. I read it can be quite harsh for some skin.

God, I love their packaging.
Although, I have to say, some fade lol. Like my concealer. I'll show the picture next time.


On a side note, I think I need anger management.

Sigh.

It was free shipping time for over USD29 and as a region 1 country (Thank GOD), I can choose expedited shipping!!

I think it takes 2 days to get processed and packed.
I get an e-mail for its dispatch, and then wowza, it arrived in Brunei in 3 days.

Maybe I just got lucky but I got excited as well.

I didn't get to enjoy the hair mask for too long since it was late but I love the Honey Red Orange Mask and the Lemon Treatment thing :)

I can't get over how cute the SkinFood mask is!! And the Lemon treatment pads. UGGHHH SO CUTE.

Another Miri Haul :O (Mainly SkinFood)

YES. I am totally in love with SkinFood!
Like, yes, really.
And if I had unlimited budget, I would have emptied that shop!

There were a lot of things in my list I didn't get but I'm happy with what I DID get.

I couldn't find SCawaii for Feb!!! So disappointed ): Oh, and only ONE sample after spending  RM130+? Is that normal?

New clothes and an original copy of one of my favourite albums!

Finally got the less harsh scrub lol. Yeah, it IS significantly less harsh but I somehow prefer the rough texture of the Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub :/ but I'm gonna use this instead, for now.

The things I got from SkinFood are:

- Tomato Sun Cream SPF 36 PA++
- (Another) Peppermint Pore Diet Mask Peel-Off (Proves how much I love this stuff!!)
- Rice Concealer Tip
- Parsley & Mandarin Spot Gel (For Troubled Skin)

What I wanted but didn't get:

- Quince Whitening Sun Lotion SPF 34 PA++
- Peach Sake Sun Lotion SPF 32++
- Peach Sake Serum
- Peach Sake Perfect Concealer #2 Natural Beige

The SA recommended the Rice Concealer instead of the Peach Sake one because it can be a bit drying for the under eye area, so yeah, I wanted to try a more liquidy concealer too, so I didn't mind much :)

I got one sample only this time (I guess...one sample per RM100? LOL), it's Acorn Jelly Mask. The SA told me it can be used for spot treatment but I'll try it another time.

I wanted an eyeliner with a marker pen tip so I decided to get IN2IT's. I tried it for a bit...and what I noticed is that it dries slow? Maybe it's just me but it IS pigmented. It smudged because I wanted to check the dryness lol.

Well, if I'm lucky, I wanna try and get a membership card this month LOL. Before my birthday, or during LOL. Ceh.

It took a  lot of energy to not buy face makeup. The one up there, listed, are things I didn't have prior, or have tried (except for the mask peel-off) so yeah. Quite excited, I am :)

And here's to hoping that my skin heals faster!!!!

Another Wrong Product. I am soooooo careless.

I researched. I researched.

But I forgot the name.

What I wanted was: St. Ives Green Tea Scrub
Second choice would have been: St. Ives Blemish & Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub

What I got in the end: St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub

I really am careless.

I forgot which apricot scrub it was, and ended up getting the abrasive one LOL.

Ah well, I just need a good face scrub, or a body scrub.

I'll just use this.
If it's too abrasive for my face, at least I can use for my body.

Wrong Product yet again. This must be some kind of curse.

My mom told me to use the Kanebo Blanchir though. Yes, yes, mom but I still need a scrub.

SkinFood: Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

This will be just an overview for now. Not so much an in-depth one since I've only tried it once, for now.

I received a sample when I bought my Peppermint Pore Diet Mask Peel-Off (gosh, that is a type-full) and decided to use this one first before using my Rice Mask sample because of a small tear. To make sure I have enough use out of this (around 2-3 times as opposed to 1 time use) I took out the sample and transferred it to a container.

Already violated version LOL. 

The instructions and description of products. Where are the ingredients?

If you can see, it's almost wiped clean lol. I don't like wasting products.

I used the remaining sample from the sachet on my face today :)

First impressions would be the scent. THE SCENT.
I was somewhat appalled by it. I expected a sweet, sweet scent but I didn't get that.
It smelled like soap, it smelled familiar but I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was.

Detergent perhaps?
Or maybe lime. It smelled like the soap used to clean dishes.
Yeah, that's probably it.

The granules are a lot finer than my DIY Sugar Scrub from this post.
I couldn't read the information on the back of the sachet that is in Korean, but I'm guessing it's the same as the English instruction, but here are some extra instructions from the website:

"* Use:
After washing, apply desired amount onto face, avoiding eye and mouth areas. 
Mix with water or toner to reduce skin irritation, and massage. 
Wait 10 to 15 minutes, and then wash off with warm water. - eng.theskinfood.com"

Honestly, I only read the instructions online AFTER using it, so I didn't mix it with water or toner. It seemed fine enough, just by wetting your face prior to use.

It reminds me of my DIY scrub, minus the harsher granules and a less sweet smell. For now, I guess I'd have to say that I prefer my scrub over this because of the smell.

It kinda lingers too, even after you apply toner and moisturizer, but probably it's the Witch Hazel toner I'm using.

On the face itself, it wasn't so harsh, and you can scrub gently. I left it for a couple of minutes while washing my body and stuff, before washing it off. I'm guessing the glycolic acid in it sloughed off some of the dead skin. It did feel slightly softer. It didn't irritate immediately, but it may have inflamed some acne I have.

But I think, overall, it's an okay product. If I were to compare, probably it might be with TheFaceShop's? Although when I tested it out, it's more harsh, kinda like the one I made.

This is definitely a lot gentler.

I think the full size product is sold around BND$20-25? I'm not sure, I'll check again next time.

Would I purchase it?

Probably somewhere in Malaysia. lol.

The price is Brunei is reasonable I guess, but yeah, need to see other options first :)

I will update once I had more use of it!

OH MY. Wrong product.

So like, I was very excited to use the Tony Moly "Berry Berry Body Scrub Wash", thinking it was the same like the "Herb Flavor Body Scrub Wash". I only tried the tester to the Herb one, liking it, thinking to myself that I should get the Berry one since it's smaller and well, cheaper.

Oh boy, I was wrong not to test it out.

Turns out that it was the scrub type of things I have abundance of.
Damn.

And the worst thing is, I doubt it works even better than them. I tried a bit of it, quite disappointed and well, I got disappointed again that it's just the same like any other scrub. Albeit, expensive like shit.

I'm not saying it's a bad product, it's just that, if I were to buy a body scrub, I already know what brand I'd buy. It's either St Ives or Cyclax. And to top it off, it offers more product that the Tony Moly one.

I'm debating whether to keep it or sell it off, since I only tried a bit of it.
I'll even pitch in the sample given since I won't use it either way.

Sigh.

So disappointed ):

If only it offered more than what my other scrubs do, I'd be happy.

I'm quite upset that I got the wrong product.


NOTE TO SELF:

Even if it looks the same on the outside, same packaging, offering different variety, ALWAYS ALWAYS, test it out.

So disappointed.

On another note, I'm using the SkinFood's "Peppermint Pore Diet Peel-Off Mask" now. lol.

It's tingly right now, and tight.
I'd take a picture but I unevenly distributed it so lol no.

But if I were to just give an overview, it's like the Daiso's nose pack, although it's not unbearably smelly. It has the same texture on the face but smoother in consistency. But it dries fast too.


Sigh.

First Time Working + Tiny Haul

Yes! Today marks the first time I have ever worked for money ever!
(and no, doing chores for parents does not count)

I had a tiring day, it was from 7 AM until 5 PM. Hectic day, but I met a lot of people. Mostly Japanese lol. The elderly. I was luckily assigned an okay task, making sure people got on the right bus on the right time and stuff, escorting them, assisting them, etc. It was also the first time I've ever been to Muara Port :DD

I will post more "in-depth" thoughts on the whole experience sometime soon but lookie what I bought!!!

Oooh, what's inside~~?

I know the plastic bag might be deceiving, but I actually bought something from both Tony Moly and SkinFood!

I believe the Herb kind is 250ml, this is 150ml.

I eyed this scrub since last week, but only decided to get it tonight, the last day of the promotion at Tony Moly. I wanted to buy this to celebrate my first time working lol. Last time I tried the herb one, but I guess that it should be similar, no? I'll try it tomorrow :) This is sold for BND$19.90, normally but I got it 10% off ( which is BND$17.90.

But my first impression is: Is it really 150ml worth of product inside? Because I have TheFaceShop's cleanser in 150ml and it is waaaaay huge and heavier lol.

Peel off mask, FINALLY!

I randomly Googled peel-off masks from SkinFood and well, I found one! Haven't tried but I have high hopes for it. It's not as expensive as I thought it'd be. It's sold for BND$13.40, I expected a higher mark up price LOL. I looked at the receipt and it says 150ml of product and I'm like "What??? Impossible!"

It's actually 120ml lol.

Ah well, I'll try it out tomorrow. I wanted to try it out tonight but I'm too tired, although I know my face needs deep cleansing due to all the dirt that landed on my face from the strong wind this morning.

Lastly, samples from both the shops. Look how tiny the Tony Moly one is LOL

I'm assuming that you get samples from every 10 bucks you spend? For SkinFood anyway. Last time I got two, and it was around 20 bucks, and this one is just over 10 bucks, so yeah. Assumptions though.

Hopefully I won't wake up with new zits but yeah lol.

I had a fun date with the ex, laughed a lot.

Now, I am very dizzy. I think I caught a cold from being in the rain, I hope I'll get better.
