Monthly Faves: April 2014

( '-' ) if any of you managed to read the post I did...I apologize.
I'm still not better, but I'm trying to force myself to feel better.

Let's forget about that and let's talk about my favourite products from last month :D

Wrong choice of background LOL

I have a lot of makeup products that I love, with some random things here and there.

1. LUSH "Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream"

- This was my mom's, but she wasn't using it, so I offered to take it from her. She bought it to use for her face though. I love the scent and I feel like it's very moisturising. I use it for my breasts because I feel like it's...uh, sagging a bit from me losing weight last year and I didn't realise it until now! I feel like with this cream and a proper bra, I think it lifted it a bit lol. Either way, the lovely smell lasts a long time! Pricy though x.x

2. Catrice "Evolution to Revolution Ultra Black Volume Mascara"

- I bought this because it was on sale (it's discontinued) and I quite like it! It's not waterproof, I haven't cried with it, but it lasts long enough before it kind of flakes. It has two wands for two looks: Look 1 is for natural volume and Look 2 is for dramatic volume. I prefer Look 1's wand :)

3. TheFaceShop "Faceit All About Gel Eyeliner"

- This was my sister's and she stopped using it so I took it from her. This gel liner is amazing. It doesn't smudge and it's just awesome! It's just a bit unpractical because she lost the brush and I keep forgetting where my liner brush went to lol.

4. Etude House "Aloha V-Line Slim Maker"

- I mostly use the contour side for my nose and the sides of my cheeks. It's a bit lighter than what I prefer but I've been liking it more, especially since I'm using the Real Techniques Contour Brush. It blends nicely and is build-able without looking muddy. The highlighter is pretty but I rarely use it.

5. Etude House "Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color"

- I've done a review on this here. I've been loving this for the cheeks and lips. It's just so flattering on my skintone, but I do need lipbalm because it's not moisturising.

6. Etude House "Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Balm"

- I wanna say holy grail but this is not in the permanent line I think ;-; I have oily-combination skin and this is still awesome on me. I would skip moisturiser and just go straight to this after toning my skin. I don't need a primer with this because the lasting power is good. The coverage is medium to full. The applicator is also what makes this product a winner, so I bought an extra one :)

7. Catrice "All Round Concealer"

- I've hit pan on two shades. The lightest shade does not suit me at all so I might mix it with something else. The product doesn't last that long but it's still handy to have around. It blends easily too.

8. essence "I  Stage Eyeshadow Base"

- Still my go-to primer. Full review here

9. Makeup Revolution "Iconic 3 Palette"

- Lovely shades that are suitable for everyday use. It blends nicely! It looks like I'm barely making a dent because I really don't need much to build up colour, especially for the darker shades. It's an everyday natural palette that I am reaching for all the time.

10. Etude House "Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss"

- I didn't look up the shade name but it's #10. It's just a lovely colour, the purple made me buy it. A review for other shades can be found here.

11. Dolly Wink "Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black"

- I found it hard to use this at first, but I do like it. It doesn't last on my lower lash line unfortunately, but it applies quite nice on the upper lash line. Quite pricy though.

12. Etude House "BB Cream Cotton Fit"

- Good oil control? Not really. However, it is medium to full coverage and I rarely need to apply concealer when I use this. Actually it's the same with the Glow Balm too. It blends nicely and W24 is a great shade match for me. Does not crease around my laugh lines (not as bad as other foundations/BB creams). It looks quite natural on me.

13. PlusWhite "5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel"

- It works gradually without hurting my teeth. It does make it sensitive, but just a little. I'm happy because it actually works, but I need to be diligent. I drink a lot of tea so this is a must.

14. SkinFood "Avocado Rich Eye Balm"

- It moisturises nicely without giving me milia seeds. A little goes a long way and it smells heavenly.

15. OraLabs "Chap Ice Cherry Lip Balm"

- I lost my Baby Lips so I turned to this. It's actually quite moisturising and I use it a lot. Easy to carry around too!

16. Travel Size Stippling Brush

- It's from the fake M.A.C Hello Kitty set. It's poor quality BUT it works so well with applying cream or powder blushes! I don't look like a clown for once :D

17. Real Techniques "Contour Brush"

- It's because of this brush that I am now contouring my cheeks again. It just does a terrific job at it and I can't be without it, I love it so much!

18. Real Techniques "Buffing Brush"

- My new best friend at buffing my foundation and BB Cream. It just does the job so beautifully.

PHEW.
That was longer than intended.

Do you like any of the products I faved?

If there are any products you'd like me to write a full review on, do leave a comment :)

'til then, take care!

Review: CLIO Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner Mini

Hi guys, this has been in my backlog for a while lol. Since September! This was originally a swatch post but I guess now I have enough time for my thoughts on it.

I seriously still find it demotivating to have such poor quality pics on my blog :x I'm not gonna lie.
But anyway, I tried my best to show these swatches as true to colour as possible.
These pics were taken under artificial room lighting, so it's a bit dim.

CLIO Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner Mini
PRODUCT INFORMATION
It is filled with sliding gel texture in the retractable mini auto pencil. It glides on smoothly and gives high-defined eye line. Creamy and melting formula stays put all day long without smudge.
These five eyeliners are housed in a sturdy tin case, and contains 3x45mm (what.) of product each. Try as I might, I couldn't find the grammes. These eyeliners are about 10cm long so it's not that big. These are basically the mini versions of the hyped up Gelpresso liners. The products are made in Korea and costs about BND31 (I think so) at Guardian. They're also found at Paloma.

Back of tin.
I bought mine a while back in KL at SaSa. They're normally priced at RM79.90.

While I was there, I remember trying to swatch the Gelpressos but the testers were horrible!!
So I bought this impulsively.

Inside the tin.
I thought the packaging was kinda cute and cool. It's simply one of those twist-up liners that are quite nice to use when you want precision, because they're a lot thinner and you don't need to sharpen them. Another thing I love is that it actually twists back down FULLY, so that means you won't end up breaking it!

Comparing them to the full-sized, I guess I didn't really notice much of a difference other than it not being long-lasting compared to my HG gel pencil liners from TheFaceShop. I was quite disappointed when it rubbed off of my arm when I swatched the full-sized liners in stores.

Weirdly, these didn't smudge on my hand.

They're not that budge-free but on the eyes, I thought it worked out okay.
I haven't cried with these though so I can't really say much when it comes to that!

Amount of product you'd get.
There are two other new varieties of these mini tin liners I believe.

Same tin size, slightly different different colours.

It was very hard to really capture the eyeliner swatches but I tried my best. Colours might differ depending on your screen. I'm using my Macbook Pro and my crappy camera from my Galaxy S2.

Swatches (without flash)
1. Beige Shine
2. Golden Khaki
3. Star Purple
4. Dark Choco
5. Golden Black

I don't really use these as much other than Beige Shine because I have a lot of other black and brown eyeliners and I rarely use purple. I think the Golden Khaki is also a good alternate to use, so maybe I'll try and use it more often.

They're not the smoothest eyeliners but hey, my HG liners aren't smooth. That's why they're quite budge-proof. The colours I think, aren't that intense as I hoped it'd be, Urban Decays are more intense than these. Urban Decay smudges faster than these though.

I believe the full-sized liners retail at BND19.90, so it's quite pricy. The good thing about Clio is that they have more variety than TheFaceShop, but they're a lot pricier and the longevity is not as good.

Sorry for the rambling x.x

---

PROS:

-Locally available.
-Smudge-proof (at least the mini ones are)
-Waterproof
-Travel-friendly.
-Has a variety of shades to try out.
-Wearable colours.
-Sturdy packaging (both tin and liners)
-Good amount of product.

CONS:

-Quite expensive.
-Eyeliners aren't that intense in colour.
- I have a feeling this might have caused bumps on my lower lash line.

Rating: 4/5 (They're good!)

Will I buy this again?

If the colours are something I don't have I guess. But for the price, I'll think twice.

Do I recommend this?

I think the mini ones are quite good compared to the full-sized versions. Get it on a sale or something because it's quite pricy. Better yet, maybe try out TheFaceShop ones?

Where can you find this?

You can find them locally at Guardian and Paloma.
International buyers can also easily get them online.

---

I hope you guys find this helpful.
The swatches and pictures aren't the best, I'm so sorry x.x

Tell me in the comments if you've tried Clio products, do you like them?
Do you think they're not worth the hype?

I'd love to know!

August Collective Haul *Hits Self*

I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LACK OF BLOGGING.
OMG.

Can't believe it's been exactly a MONTH since my last update. I'm so sorry :(
I've been procrastinating a lot.

Things happened too....hm, but that'll be for another time I believe.

I will have a giveaway up soon, btw. Once I have the time to like, make the video for it!
The bad thing about this post is that, once I took all the photos, I realized that I missed some things...I'll put it in a bracket somewhere.

For this haul post, there are some items for the giveaway too lol. So yeah, not all is for me.

I went to Miri twice, but to be honest, I don't think I bought THAT many stuff. It's just that some of it is more expensive x___x I'm trying not to buy anything this month BUT I need a mascara D: I kinda want an essence mascara. Any recommendations?

Anyway, moving on to the haul...

Here are all the things (minus some nose pore strips, toothpaste and some cream)
Some are from Paloma, but most are from Miri.
These are all collective from Watsons, Guardian, Tony Moly, TheFaceShop, SaSa (yes, I had to go back there >_> you'll see why).

Let's break it down, shall we? I will add some mini thoughts to the items I've tried.

Body mist, Gel eyeliners and a Handcream.
I got the body mist from Paloma. It was BND4.90 I think. I forgot the price by now. It smells identical to Victoria's Secret Body Mist in 'Love Spell'. Well, close enough. It smells more sweet I think but it's very similar. It's called 'Enchanted Kiss'. You can say they are copies of VS.

For the IN2IT gel eyeliners, I really only wanted a matte black gel eyeliner that would last well. This was fine, but it was too creamy for my liking. I will giveaway the brown one because I have a lot of browns already.

The hand cream is from TFS. I haven't opened it but it smelled okay when I sampled it. I preferred Tony Moly's hand creams I guess. Smells more natural.

Brush cleanser, De-pigmentor serums and a Lipbalm.
The brush cleanser is from Cyber Colors at SaSa. It wasn't that good, to be honest. Works better for eye brushes over face brushes, that's for sure. I wouldn't repurchase it once I run out I believe.

These nanowhite de-pigmentor serums were once my HG scar fading serum but so far, I think it doesn't work as well anymore. I don't know why. These things aren't cheap either :/ but I'll make it work again. I changed my skincare routine, maybe that's why.

A girl can't have too many lipbalms! I decided to buy another one of this variant because I love it so much. I have a lot of lipbalms to burn to be honest...

Lip products, Eye primer, Concealer, Eyeliner and Stick eyeshadow.
Most of the things here are from Tony Moly.
I've used three of the products here. Some of them are for my next giveaway haha.
I liked the products so much that I kinda want to give some away~

The slim lipstick from TM is such a joy on the lips. It's not drying, it's convenient and it smells lovely. Unfortunately they ran out of the colour I liked so I bought a more plummy one for the giveaway. It's definitely something I'd repurchase in the future.

I have the Petit Bunny Gloss in the yellow variant, so I decided to get two of them...so the winner of the giveaway can choose which one they liked more :3 both are cute.

I've also tried the eyeliner. That's from SilkyGirl. I thought it'd be my HG but so far, it smudges on my lower lashline ): I still can't find my HG black eyeliner yet! It's good though, for a drugstore brand.

The eye primer from TFS is also surprisingly good! Unfortunately it's kinda oily LOL.

I haven't opened the concealer and the stick eyeshadow from TM.

MORE ITEMS.
I've tried both CandyDoll products. They were kind of a letdown for the price :O
The lipgloss applies smooth but there's barely any colour. It's super sticky too!

The lipstick I have is in Vanilla Beige? It makes me look like a corpse XD acts more like a lip concealer for my skintone I guess!

theBalm's eyeshadow is for the giveaway also! It's in my favourite shade, Mischievous Marissa. It's not included in any of the Shady Lady palettes just so you know!

The lipbalm here is for a giveaway :3 (I'm giving away three kinds of lip products wtf)

essence stuffs here are from Paloma, obviously. I haven't tried the matt powder and you guys know how much I love the eye primer! However, I found out that it works best with SOME eyeshadow brands and works not so well with others. I think matte eyeshadow works best for it because my Urban Decay eyeshadows (satin, shimmery ones) kinda creased under 5 hours D:

The two eggs are from TM. I needed stuff for my blackheads.
I prefer the brown egg over the white one, that's for sure!

PHEW!

That's it for my collective haul.
I will make sure to do in-depth reviews for some of these things~

If you have any requests just tell me okay?

I really want to blog more often again x_x

Sorry again for slacking!

'til then, take care!

Have a nice day!

Review: Herb Day Cleansing Wipes

I'm back with another review :D
This time, I'm going to talk about my favourite cleansing wipes from TheFaceShop!
Herb Day Cleansing Wipes!!

"Gentle yet thorough cleansing wipes with plant extracts"
I believe I've been using this particular wipe since last year.
I've tried some others, but honestly, I go back to this one.
It's quite affordable, and works well.

At TheFaceShop Brunei, it costs BND4.90. I believe in Malaysia, it costs RM8.90.

I forgot to add, this packet is actually the refill version but hey, it's a LOT cheaper than the one that's more sturdy and has the anti-drying cap.

You can always store this in resealable plastic bags to keep it moist!

Product Description and Directions :D
This cleansing wipe is also my first of its kind. The reason why I picked this up was because I felt like really cleaning my face. When I'm too tired at night, I just use this baby and then use a deep clean cleanser and I think it's fine.

"Avoid contact with eyes" <- I ignore this.
There's actually another kind of cleansing wipe from the same line, but it's for removing eye and lip makeup. I've actually tried it, but honestly, I prefer this one. Yes, it says not to use it near the eyes but so far, I have no unpleasant experience with it.

Of course, if possible, don't use it on your eyes.

Ingredients List
Despite it containing alcohol, it doesn't smell funky nor does it dry up my skin.
If you have any allergies to the ingredients, just be careful.

When I use this product, depending on the amount of makeup I use on that day, I usually use either a full wipe or cut the wipes into two.

This particular wipe is 2/3 in size.

I used concealer, a powder and some eye makeup.
Cleaned it right off.

After cleaning all my makeup.
To be honest, there were still some parts that are not used because I didn't use much makeup.
I went through some areas twice, especially parts with concealer (around my cheek and forehead area).

I was also using my HG waterproof gel liners from TFS (the blue lines on the wipe) and it removed it quite well.

I also used a portion of it to clean these swatches.

There were cream eyeshadows from Essence and Catrice :D
Once set, they don't smudge.

I didn't need to use force to remove the swatches!

Swatches (Before)
and....
Swatches (After)
You can still see some glitter leftover but a few gentle wipes can clean it right off.

---

PROS:

-Affordable.
-Locally available.
-Doesn't irritate the skin.
-Effective in removing even waterproof makeup.
-Works well as an after wipe for cleaning remaining makeup from cream cleansers.
-Has more sheets than other brands (20 isn't much but good enough)
-Has another variant (for Eye & Lip Makeup removal) that has about the same effect.
-Refills are easily available.
-Smells pleasant.
-One wipe is good enough for the whole face.

CONS:

-Ingredients are not natural.
-Might not be good for sensitive skin.
-Cannot be used for eyes (Heheh.)
-Might not work well with heavy makeup.
-Not that moist.

Rating: 4.5/5 (I wish I can just depend on this alone but alas, I need to deep cleanse)

Will I buy this again?

Definitely, but I wanna try out some other brands maybe :D

Do I recommend this?

Yeah, it's not the priciest cleansing wipe, and it works well! If you're allergic to some of the ingredients, don't even try it lol.

Where can you find this?

At all the TheFaceShop branches, I assume.

---

Hope that was helpful :D
I'm just picking stuff at random for reviewing lol.

If there are any products on my blog that you're interested in a review, leave a comment!!

Have you ever used this?

'til then, take care!!!!

This will the be the first part of my blogsale.

I don't have the swatch for Sheer Shit because well, it's very sheer. It's like a very pale white, that's just so sheer. On your nails you can barely see anything but it definitely hides your nailcolour if that makes sense! If no one wants it, of course I'll keep it lol.

Leave a comment or e-mail me at nurulhanisah203@gmail.com if you're interested :D
Preferably an e-mail so I can directly contact you back!

I'll most probably add to this, maybe.

My Current Skincare Routine :D

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all well :)
I had sad news yesterday, with my psychiatrist having to go away, thus transferring me to someone else's care. I cried.

But anyway, let's focus on what the post is about, shall we?

Lyn asked last time what my current skincare routine was. I didn't want to do one without really sure of the things.

Truth is, my whole routine was disrupted when I ran out of my HG moisturiser and I haven't found a replacement. I had recently placed an order so hopefully it'll come back to my routine!

I used to rely on TWO main things: Eskinol Papaya Smooth White Facial Deep Cleanser and C+M Papaya Gel Moisturiser. I am not using any of those now. The reason why I had it as a routine was to fade my acne scars FAST.

I made do though.
I found a routine that works for me.

So far I haven't had any breakouts. The last breakout I had was on my nose, and it didn't occur to me to use my Mario Badescu, so I have a nasty scar there >_>; but that was 2-3 weeks ago.

Moving on!

Here are the facial washes I use~

Facial Cleansers & Scrub
I don't use them ALL at once! That's just crazy!
I use the scrub when my nose feels all congested and to scrub off some flaky scars. Do I think it works? So-so. It's not a miracle product.

Sometimes I also use two gentle scrubs from SkinFood for daily use.

Peeling Gel (Gentle Scrubs)
I use the St. Ives Apricot Cleanser when I feel like my face needs a gentle, gentle scrub. I use it when my pores are just feeling weirdly congested. After cleansing, usually it leaves my skin soft, not too dry.  This is supposed to fight blemishes.

I generally use the TheFaceShop Blemish Zero Bubble Foam Cleanser in the mornings. It's not harsh at all. I bought it due to the recommendation of a fellow blogger. It's really gentle, has a nice scent and leaves my skin feeling clean without stripping the natural oils.

Lastly, I use the Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser when I use makeup on that day. To make sure I removed all my makeup when I use my cleansing creams. You know what's the best weapon against acne? Removing your makeup properly. I try not to use this unless I did wear makeup. I think I tried using this daily, and it wasn't being nice to my skin. It's not harsh, but compared to the other two, it's the strongest of the bunch.

For me.

As for the moisturisers and toners~

I approve of this.
Truth be told, I have A LOT of toners. I also have A LOT of moisturisers. For moisturisers, it's more tricky though. If I hate the scent, I would really not use it. This is the case of moisturisers I buy online. LOL. Poor them.

I actually have a ton of facial cleansers too, ones that don't work for me or I just never bother reaching out for. I might use them again when I run out of some of the items.

Anyway~

My new beauty find that I happen to LOVE a lot is the HadaLabo Arbutin Whitening Lotion! For this one, I was afraid it would break me out, I read some reviews saying it breaks them out. However I think that happens if you use the milk too. I just have the "toner" version of it. For me, it works like a light moisturiser. If my skin is not that dry, I skip my snail cream and just end the day with this.

I recently finished my Eskinol Classic White Blackhead Prevent Facial Deep Cleanser, so I moved on to the lemon variant. I'm now using the Eskinol Oil Control Facial Deep Cleanser. My friend Kat uses this. Does it really help with oil? Nope. At least not for me LOL. I read online that this freaking dries them out! It doesn't for me. I am hoping that this helps fade scars since lemon is known for that.

It's gentle though, just like the papaya variant.

Depending on my mood, I would sometimes use The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner. It doesn't mattify my face at all LOL. Then again, I'm not using the whole range for it. I like this, but I would stay away from my eyes I guess. This is pricy so I'm glad it's not my HG!

Although I gotta defend their oil control BECAUSE I use a moisturiser that kinda makes my face oily after a few hours. I use The Skin Shop Recovery Solution Cream as my moisturiser. I use this when my face feels very dry, or I have some popped pimples. It's supposed to help heal them faster. I like the scent too, but if I use it too heavily, it clogs my pores.

For my eyes, I use Tony Moly Fresh Aqua Cooling 24 Eyes Stick. I usually don't bother to deal with my eyes though.

When I have bumps and acne, I spread a thin layer of the Mario Badescu Drying Cream.

Had I known, I would have used this on my nose earlier. This immediately calmed down the annoying painful nose acne!

So basically my daily routine is:

Cleanse Face -> Toner -> Lotion -> Moisturiser

If I use makeup:

Remove Makeup -> Cleanse Face -> Toner -> Lotion -> Moisturiser

I also generally use mud masks after I use makeup. It depends on how heavy it was.
If I feel like my skin needs to be decongested, I'd whip out my facial sauna, do nose strips and mud masks. I ALWAYS neglect my PMD though ( ;-; ) that expensive thing.

Yes, I do mud masks more than face masks. I need to use my face masks really ( ;-; )

Is my face perfect?
Nope.

In fact, I have congested pores sometimes, so I have to deal with the skin-like bumps here and there but generally, I'm happy.

Ever since I used the HadaLabo Lotion, I felt an improvement. Hence, I'm very happy.
Makeup seems to glide on smoothly too.

Is this a routine you should use to clear your face? NO.

EVERYONE'S SKIN IS DIFFERENT!
WHAT WORKS FOR ME, MIGHT NOT WORK FOR YOU!

Try out these products at your own risk. I'm not a dermatologist but I've had some consultation and I've deduced what's good for me and what's bad for me.

Well, it's not flawfree.

My battle with whiteheads, big pores, oily skin and those pesky bumps aren't over.
I'm happy though, I got my acne under control.

Do tell me in the comments what your routines are, or if you've used any of the products here before!

Take care then!

Last Sunday's LOTD and A Mini Haul

I went out on Sunday, and I rarely go out.
I wanted to actually check out Tony Moly's "Secret" promo. It wasn't that much. I didn't buy anything from them because my lil' sis was there to be my conscience LOL.

It was funny because while in the car, I was actually telling her that I learnt from a blogger that "If the discount is just 10%, it's not worth it. Don't bother." And well, Tony Moly had only member discount that time, which was 10%. LOL. I really don't listen to myself. They also have that HSBC discount but I don't get that.

So yeah, dad dropped us off at Airport Mall, then we walked to Times Square.

What I was wearing that day a.k.a Outfit of the Day/Night:

A girly look I guess?
I was wearing a white v-neck cotton shirt from Uniqlo I bought back in 2008 in Japan. Wow, that thing lasts long! XD It's still comfy, and I've worn it when I was fattest so it might be a bit loose? The peach/orange loose knit/lace thing is from Brands Outlet~ The skirt I kinda hiked up a bit because it was too long, that actually was from Labuan a LONG time ago. I've only started wearing it recently. It's actually an office skirt. I dunno what I was thinking back then, it was in 2004. I was only 13 then! Then I wore leggings. I wore my favourite shoes and the bag was from my sis' stash lol.

I GAINED WEIGHT D: NOOOOO.

My makeup and hair that day.
I also had my favourite lapis lazuli necklace :D See? Told you it goes with everything!
I had my hair in bubble style, I've only worn this out one other time back in 2011.

Hmph.
Unfortunately at the end, while still at Airport Mall, most of my hair-ties died on me. One by one D: I just gave up and undid everything when I went to Hua Ho Mall. It was fun while it lasted!

Under natural sunlight. I DO NOT LIKE MY BROWS.
Unfortunately my red dye has died.
Uguuu.

It's still light coloured but no longer red D:
I loved my red hair. DAMMIT.

Anyway~
We didn't manage to go to places much, because I had to meet up with someone around 7.30pm, WHICH my dad forgot about >_>; Sigh.

I managed to go to only TheFaceShop and buy some stuff from there. I had the vouchers from my birthday, I thought it was a waste to not use it...

So I bought these things!

Three things for BND30+ (even after discounts ._. )
Out of three of these, one of them is a real impulse buy.
One of them I really need.
Then the other was just curiosity.

Can you guess?

Here it is in the order:

Friggin Impulse Buy. BUY ME.
This is TFS Crystal Collection Nail Polish in BL601 (BND12.90)
It was love at first swatch D:
I normally don't buy expensive nail polish because I don't wear them everyday...
But my sis just HAD to swatch it on my finger.

I fell in love.
Since it's the time of the month this week, I decided to get it. So I can paint my nails and admire them. LOL.

After discount it was BND10.32. I do not approve :x
It was also the last one on the rack (for Times Square anyway)

The swatched nail is holding on well. No chipping, still going strong. Very prettily. I didn't even put top coat. I'll paint all my nails later.

I'm running out of the other item D:
I got this because it wasn't that pricey...well, no, actually it was. But then again, every item at TFS is kinda expensive D: WHY. This was priced at BND10.90. It was BND8.72 after discount.

After buying it, I had my fears that it might just not work that well. I have a DAISO one that I hate because of the smell. But I'm running out of it. And it doesn't work that well D:

But now that I read reviews...I'm scared this might not work on me D:
Some people said that the DAISO one works wonders compared to this. SO, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???

Unfortunately, TFS' policy = GOODS SOLD ARE NOT RETURNABLE.

Makes me wonder if they do refunds though LOL.

I'll just try it though and hope it's good.

Are you any better?
I have many mild exfoliants. Well, actually I have two. Both from SkinFood.
This is my third one. I was attracted to it because it's Papaya. I mean, papaya usually works.

I hope you're good. You cost me BND13.45 after discount. Normal price is BND26.90.

Of all the items, I'm pretty excited for the nail polish!

I'm gonna have pretty nails for a week.

I also got my Mey Rin wig on that day :D
I ordered it through a friend.

My first proper cosplay wig.

I'm so excited :D
This would be my first proper cosplay ever!
Hopefully.

I need to make/buy the costume. I'm sewing out a draft dress and I'm stuck at the sleeves.

It's more deep magenta in real life.
I need to cut the bangs D:
But I like it like this...

I'm so in love with this hairstyle D:
Or maybe it's the colour?
I love the short hairstyle so much I might just cut it like this in May.
I'm done with my long thick hair!

I'm so tired of it.

Plus it reminds me of someone I rather not remember anyway.

I really, really want this hair :O

But then I'll have to style it more :/

But yeah.

So that's my mini haul, and stuff.
I'm so sleepy.

I started exercising again *coughdancingcough* and I'm gonna eat better.

I should really start fixing my sleeping pattern if I wanna lose weight though.

So yeah, take care!

Do check out my recent reviews!

Have a great day!

Favourite Products: March 2013

Hey there :D

I decided to do a favourites post after reading Kim's post! Even though I usually don't do things like this, I realised that I do have some favourite products that I go to all the time!

Okay, let's start:

1)
Maybelline Baby Lips in 'Coral Flush'
This is my go-to lip balm. Yes, it's tinted, because I haven't managed to buy the un-tinted one to use every night. This one, despite it being tinted, is very toned down, even though it's supposed to be coral. It just gives a nice flush of colour when you need it. It is quite similar to another Maybelline lipstick but I shall talk about that in a more in-depth review.

Why do I like it? It simply hydrates my lips so well! And it smells nice too.

2)
Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in 'Finale'
I love this. It has a weird finish, it's not fully matte, but not fully shiny either. I guess it's like...suede? Lol duh. That IS the name of the lipstick. It's just weird, but I love it! I like how it's matte but not overly drying but not too hydrating either. Does that make sense? Either way, it's a lovely product and really not as strong as "In-your-face" as I thought it'd be! It stays on my lips quite comfortably.

I can also opt to tone it down with my next favourite~

3)
essence lipstick in 'In The Nude'
This is a lovely, hydrating nude lipstick. You get a lot of product for how much you buy it for. That's not bad, right? It smells nice, kinda fruity, and goes on your lips so well. You can use it to just nude out your lips lightly or if you want it more opaque, you can layer it on. You can also layer it over stronger lip colours and it'll just make it less bold so easily. I also gave one away for a giveaway before!

4)
theBalm Batter Up Creaseless Cream Shadow in 'Home Plate Kate'
This is a lovely pink shimmery base that does not crease on me. I used to go to the golden one but that one is drying up a bit more than usual (I need to revive that one) so I decided to use this baby instead. On its own, it's more like a white shimmer with pinkish tones, against my eyelids. I can easily layer it up with a similar colour or any other colour because it's such a good base. It's not too white, not too pink. It just works. On a good day, this doesn't crease on me for at least 12 hours BUT it does tend to rub off on my inner corners! But 12 hours is good, no?

5)
MUA 'Heaven and Earth' Eyeshadow Palette
My go-to palette for now. It has all the colours I need on a day out if I don't want colours. It's also light and small that I can carry it safely in my bag IF I do feel like I'd need to touch up during the day. However, with a good base it'll stay on my lids until I want to remove it! Good, eh? I have made a full review of this palette, here.

6)
TheFaceShop Make Me Star Waterproof Gel Liner in #5 (The Awesome Blue One)
THIS, THIS is my forever favourite holy grail eyeliner (for now anyway). It is absolutely waterproof and lasts all day long (with minimal smudging at the corners of my eyes) and I usually use it on the lower lash-line and leave my upper lash-line eyeliner free. Usually. You can use the smudger at the end to make it into eyeshadow if you want to. I've actually cried with this eyeliner on and it didn't budge, at all. Unfortunately, its counterpart (the brown one) actually broke on me! The tip that is, so that's one downer. It's quite fragile.

7)
Eskinol Papaya Smooth White Facial Deep Cleanser
I ran out of this, obviously. I'm actually trying out the other variants however, I think this is the best one for me. It smells nice, it's not as harsh as the other ones I've tried and I'll definitely repurchase this once I've run out of the others because this one is, by far, my holy grail toner at fading acne scars! Full review here.

8)
The Skin Shop IRIS Derma Solution Whitening Plus Serum
I like using this to hydrate my face on drier days, after my toner, and it does help a lot. It's supposedly a whitening serum that gives you moisture and nutrition. I can definitely say that it does moisturise. As for whitening, it's not that obvious, but it does fade some scars. Not as fast as my Eskinol + moisture gel but it helps. Especially since I ran out of my go-to moisturiser! I'll definitely repurchase this if it's still cheap.

9)
Mario Badescu Drying Cream
I bought this from Luxola, and it arrived just before my KL trip. Does this work to dry up under the surface bumps like it promised? Not sure, I don't think so BUT it does help dry up erupted pimples so fast you'd call your grandma just to rave about it! It is however way too drying even for my oily-combination skin so use it sparingly. Sensitive and dry skin, use it with caution. A little goes a long way and I like it. You can purchase the product here. It's priced at SGD24 but you can get 15% off if it's your first purchase from the site.

I think it'll last you a long time~ I barely made a dent and I've been using it every night. I'll definitely repurchase should the time comes.

10)
MUA Matte Foundation in Shade 3 'Gentle Fawn'
Matte foundation? No. It's not matte, it's dewy finish at best. However, what I like about it is that it's the perfect colour for my skin-tone AND it does not oxidise on me. The coverage is sheer, but buildable to medium. You can work it well with a concealer if you don't want to build it up too much. I like the sleek packaging and you can control the amount of product well. It does not feel heavy on the skin but it does leave a sticky feeling (just lightly), you can apply powder to mattify and set it.

The only CON for now? I don't think it contains any SPF but I might be wrong. You can get this product here.

11)
MUA Bronzer in Shade 3
This is the only matte one out of the basic range and it's a lovely shade. Not that orange at all on me and it actually shows up! *I'm looking at you, Etude House, Holika Holika!* I usually use it to contour my nose because I haven't mastered contouring my cheeks. You're also getting a LOT of product out of this and it's only £1! You can get it here.

12)
sasatinnie Facial Mist Toner in 'Peach'
I use this to set my face makeup. Does it last long? I'm not so sure, but it does give my face the original texture after putting on all that foundation, BB cream or powder on my face. I love the scent and it does help rejuvenate the face. Anti-aging? Not so sure about. Holy grail? Not so much but it'll do for now.

13)
sasatinnie Makeup Remover Wipes in 'Rose'
This is for sensitive skin. I actually bought two of the 'for oily skin' and I haven't used it. I have been using this ever since I bought it, and it works well! There's only 10 sheets though, but it does the job. Maybe even better than my favourite makeup wipes from TheFaceShop! It doesn't sting my eyes at all and I think it definitely removes most of your makeup (but definitely use a facial cleanser too!)

14)
Cyber Colors 24 Hr Eyebrow in 'Gray'
I can't live without this. I just can't. However, the price does get to me. This was recommended to me by a SaSa MY consultant and I really thank her for doing so. I turned to her saying that I needed a waterproof eyebrow pen and dammit, this works. I liked how she also said that I shouldn't use black as it's too harsh. Gray works just fine. This is my go-to eyebrow pen...cil. I will definitely repurchase this but I'm trying out other options first!

15)
BDL Papaya Whitening Hand & Body Lotion
This is the lotion I'm using right now for my body. I love the smell but it can have a weird texture. Sometimes it balls up if it mixes with certain products. I haven't noticed any whitening but for the price and for the quantity, it works. It's 600ml and I bought it for BND4.90? It works for me~ Papaya is love, you know?

16)
Victoria Secret Fragrance Mist in 'Love Spell'
Holy grail fragrance mist. Enough said. I bought a bigger bottle of it recently because it's just that lovely. I tried other scents but I still bought this one because it's just perfect. It's 'me' in a bottle and the best part is that I'm not allergic to it! Yay! Do try it if you ever come across it! It's Cherry Blossoms & Peach scented. But it's more to peach!

17)
V8 Crystal Repair Serum for Split Ends and Damaged Hair
This is my go-to hair serum nowadays. It smells nice, works well and is absorbed by the hair nicely. However, don't overdo it or it'll make your hair look dry in photos instead lol. It smells like this snack I grew up eating, like 'Ais Krim Panjang' or what's it called? I'm not so sure. I bought it from my uncle's wife (my aunt technically lol) who runs a salon. I would definitely repurchase it once I run out. It's cheaper than the L'oreal Anti-Frizz one!

Okay, that's it for my favourites! That was a lot, no? Lol. I'm so sleepy right now.
If there's any product you'd like me to do an in-depth review, just leave it in the comments and I'll try do it!

Out of all of these, I can't live without number 1, 4, 6, 7, 9, 14 and 16!

I think I covered all of my go-to products of the month!

What about you?

Do you have a monthly favourite?
Leave your link or answers in the comments! I'd love to read them!

Take care then!

EDIT: I just wanna cry. Trying to edit this in HTML resulted in some shitty results and I lost half of my post that took an hour plus to write. Had to do the whole thing again (copy-pasting it from the html at least) so I have a headache now...sigh. I'm a jinx with computers. Definitely.
