My Belated Birthday Haul

I turned 23 on the 20th of March, so it's been nearly a month.
It was a lovely day.

With me, I think I spent a lot of money on myself, there are also other gifts of course :D
I think I overspent...I also bought a new storage thing from Home Star recently...the Ikea stuff there is overpriced of course. Sigh. I need to build it too.

Then I'll be able to organise my makeup and brushes and all that jazz and I'll be able to share my collection? I think at this rate, if I get better at applying makeup on other people, I'll be able to use up all my eyeshadows...I'm out of control with my palettes.

( '_' ) you'll see what I mean.

Wanting to try Benefit products, I went ahead and bought this limited edition set from someone on Facebook. It was from the holiday collection last year, and it's out of production.

I do not plan on using all of them, so I'll be selling some stuff from this set. A friend already booked them, but hasn't taken them yet lol.

The rest are really not planned, except for the makeup base and the camouflage cream.

I also ordered some things online.

Whee :D

I ordered some brushes, some beauty blender dupes and a mixing palette. I also decided to buy some sample jars.

I received some presents :)

My family also got me gifts, mainly from the US

My dad got me an iPod Touch, it's only about 10 dollars cheaper than in Brunei though. Damn.

My elder sister (who just gave birth yay :D) gave me a Lorac Unzipped. 

I gave her a list of items and she got to choose what to give XD

This palette was bought BEFORE I found out about Makeup Revolution's Iconic 3 though. 

I'm not sure when I'll use this now :/ it's so pretty though!

I asked for the Real Techniques as presents before I found out my dad was getting me the iPod Touch, so I offered to pay for them myself. Turns out that my mom bought them for me, although she kept saying that they're of little value (and I'm like what). Maybe in comparison to what my dad got me I guess.

To be honest though, I wouldn't know what else to ask for from her :O

I'm truly blessed, and I've indulged myself way too much. Way too unhealthily so.

And I gained weight.

Curses.

LOL.

I cannot wait until I can have my own makeup storage system :D JOY!

1st Impressions: Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette = Naked 3 Dupe

My brother just came back from the UK :D
And he brought with him something I asked him to order while he was there on holiday...

It's called Iconic 3 and it's £4!

I was honestly undecided about getting N3 or not...it's like BND80-100, depending on where you get it (yes, I have a sister in the US but I don't think I'd gamble on something that costs more than BND50 that I can't swatch myself) so when I started seeing this palette pop up on my Bloglovin' (well, one post) I decided to get it.

I like how the shadows look like, looks classy. Looks similar to the layout of the Naked palettes, so it's much more appealing to me. The eyeshadows are 14g!! MUA's are 9.4g.

It was USD52 for a while (they used to be USD50 if you still remember), and now it's USD54?


Uh. Nope.

No way. Not even gonna think about it anymore.
I'm no longer curious.

I hate the packaging anyway :/

Here's some quick swatches of the Iconic 3!

I swatched the dupe for Strange and Nooner twice, but the rest are one swatch. Without primer too, btw.

I am in LOVE with Trick's dupe. I think some colours are not so similar but I can work with this.

I am happy with this!

AND IT'S AFFORDABLE!! ARGHHHH!

SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT MORE EVEN THOUGH I DON'T NEED IT.

Phew.

I'm half angry at the price increase (yet again) considering a lot of complaints are made about the quality being not up to par with the old palettes.

April Collective Haul + Mini Reviews/First Impressions

Well, I can't post consistently anymore, I'm sorry.

This isn't even a review, wow.
Well, maybe mini reviews/first impressions?

I collected these things for the past two weeks I guess?

Some were on sale, actually, most of them were!

Let's list them out!

1. Holika Holika BB Soda Pore Cleansing Foam

- I really wanted a new deep cleaning cleanser, especially one targeted for pores and makeup removal, so I got this. I haven't tried it. I nearly did, but maybe when I cut open my Neutrogena!

2. Tony Moly Dr. Tony AC Control Whitening Eye Serum

- Haven't tried this but I thought AC was for acne? Eye...acne? I wonder if I can use it on my face instead? But I'll try it on my eyes once I finish some of my eye gels/creams :)

3. Tony Moly Simply Style Makeup Eraser

- Got this because I wanna start using mascara more often and eyeliner again. Haven't tried it.

4. Tony Moly Intense Care Galactomyces Essence Mist

- I've used this mist before I sleep twice, it doesn't break me out so far, and it doesn't feel sticky. Will continue to use it more. I got this as a prize from Tony Moly Brunei :)

5. essence My Skin Caring Cleansing Wipes Pomegranate & Bamboo

- This is my 3rd repurchase! I like that it doesn't break me out and it helps remove makeup quite well. Maybe not the best but it IS quite good for the price. I might try the other variant next time. I dunno if a full review is needed, but if you want to know more, leave a comment?

6. Rosken Skin Repair Sensitive Skin Cream

- I normally use the one for Dry Skin but this was on sale, so I got it. 500ml for me lasts about a month? Or less? Depending on how my skin is. Maybe even more than a month. I tried it a bit and I still prefer the one for Dry Skin. This is lightweight though!

7. Double Dragon Minyak Kayu Putih

- Not a beauty product but I got this for the sake of my tummy haha. Not yet tried.

8. essence Pure Skin Anti-Shine Pore Refining Serum

- Got this to see if it'd help reduce sebum...and it kinda did. It works to an extent. Still in the midst of trying it out, but so far, I like it.

9. Catrice Evolution to Revolution Ultra Black Volume Mascara

- This is discontinued I believe, but it smells like the essence one I got, so it's still good? Didn't hurt my eye or anything. It's not waterproof, but it's quite good. Smudges a bit, just a bit. But I really like the natural step!

10. Holika Holika Vita Up! Facial Water Mist (GREEN)

- I don't know why I thought I need it, but I got it. I do have some mists already opened, so I might not use this yet.

Once my parents get back from the US, I'll finally do my belated birthday haul/gift post.

I just need to wait for some of them.

I will also have a mini haul for something I guess :3
