Giveaway Winners :D

Okay, so my giveaway has ended :)

It took me a while to sort out the entries, removing those who didn't follow the rules.
To be fair, I wanted everyone to win, but that's a bit hard, right?

Winners are posted on the giveaway page itself, you can click here to check.
Or you can also click here, which is the Giveaway Tab.

I've already contacted them via e-mail, to be fair to everyone, I'm giving them 3 days to contact me back, if they don't, unfortunately they would have to forfeit the prizes ):

But good news for those who did not win, they'll get another chance during the raffle!!

Check the Giveaway Tab in 3 days, to see who has claimed the prizes and who had to forfeit theirs.

If their e-mail is somehow invalid then that is very unfortunate!

I want to be fair, so please, those who had to forfeit (Hopefully they would not have to), please don't take it to heart. You can have another chance to win next time.

The winners who live in my country, good news for you is that you'll be able to get your prizes faster. The winners who don't will have to wait for me to contact them when I have sent the prizes (I think Brunei only ships outside via EMS, so it won't take that long)

Again, congratulations to the winners and to those who did not win, don't worry, I'm having a small giveaway in February and a big one again, during my birthday in March :)

Take care everyone!

Fairy....Catmother?

So, I wake up, ready (well, not really) to go do this literature quiz. So, I went to university, went to class. Kinda made a mistake for writing the questions, I didn't have time to answer the questions fully. Darn quick fire quizzes >_>

Anyway, I decided to stay a bit because I was borrowing paint from my friend. I waited and waited. Then I got hungry.

In between the library and the place to eat, there's a bridge.

There, at the bridge, what did I see?

A cat.

Shyla.

Well, not really.

It was smaller, and paler in comparison to my baby.

LOOK AT MAH BAYBEHHHH
Anyway....

I went ahead and petted her, she was very friendly. Then a couple of people came and asked "Do you like cats?", or other things like "Are you feeding her?", etc.

The cat was just resting against my bag, which I didn't mind.

A more Chinese-y Shyla I guess.
Then I sat down, just nodding and stuff.

I looked to my left.

I realized that the cat, well, the cat, well.

She pinned me down.

In the middle of the bridge.

Cozying up to me, huh?
Then, a lot of people started going to and fro, while I sat there like an idiot.
I just smiled at them.

Yes, I felt weird but no, I didn't mind. Because a cute cat was next to me.

So, taking this pic, I asked my father to bring a carrying cage with him when he picks me up. I had to also text my friend to come to the bridge since I can't move.

Haha, you must be thinking, "But the cat's just on your skirt, shoo her away"

WRONG.

She got braver.

Then, I was officially pinned down.
So, what to do?
I dunno.

Then a girl, a random girl (who's apparently in my Painting 1 class) kneeled down and asked me what's wrong. Told her I planned to bring the cat home with me.

She helped me carry her to the car. She was nice.

I didn't catch her name, I did ask though.

But she didn't say.

So yeah, bringing her home, I was excited and scared. I didn't know how Shyla'd react.
I only brought her home because we had an extra cage.

And she looked so much like Shyla.

When I came home, Shyla was out and about, roaming around. Of course, she was surprised to see the new addition.

Dad decided to name the cat "Fini", because it's a cat I "Found" and that it's "Bini-Bini" (female in Malay). And that's how Fini was born.

Weird name, isn't it?

So, I cleaned the cage, fed her, gave her something to drink, etc. Then, I noticed that she was kinda dirty so I bathed her.

Also, then, I saw that she might have some fleas D:

EGAD.

I also checked her ears, I think there might be infestation.

Like, then it occurred to me, "WTF DID I JUST DO???"

But then, she was so adorable D:

So yeah, bathed her and stuff. No fuss. Shyla makes a big deal out of baths.

Then, before 3, I had to go back to uni because I had class.
I told mom that I wanted to go buy some medication for earmites and flea/tick/mite powder.

The powder portion was okay, but the earmite drops.... >_>;

Made me regret trying to be a Fairy Catmother.

Why am I so....I mean, why did I so easily take in another cat??
When I already have Shyla?

Poor Shyla got a bit jealous ):

I DO love her, no doubt about it.

I love my cat. Now, I have two to take care of.
Unless someone wants to adopt Fini?

Do you want to adopt her?

I'll make sure she's healthy first.

Okay?

So yeah. That's my boring story.

I'm officially a Cat Lady now.

Screw men.

Take care, all!

Review: Eskinol Papaya Smooth White Facial Deep Cleanser

After a long time procrastinating, it's time.

I'm going to review this much popular toner in Asia. I think it's popular, I remember growing up with my sis mentioning it a few times. This is marketed as a 'Facial Deep Cleanser' but in reality, it's really a toner. So no, it's not a facial cleanser. Please, do NOT wash your face with this, it WILL sting.

Anyway~

I've used this product for about 2 months or so already and I gotta say, I think this helped fade my acne scars fast. Mind you, I used 'think' for a reason. It's not the only product I use to fade my scars but I did realize that my new acne scars fade faster with this. I use this with the C+M Natural Papaya Whitening Deep Moisture Gel and I gotta admit, it's a good combo.

Here's the pic of the product:

Eskinol Papaya Smooth White Facial Deep Cleanser
This product promises to:
- Whiten in as early as 1 week*
- Helps renew and smoothen skin
- Dermatologist Tested
- Is a micro-cleanser with an anti-bacterial formula

Can you see the ingredients? I'll list it anyway.
Ingredients: Water, Alcohol Denat., Sorbitol, Carica papaya Fruit Extract, Propylene Glycol, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Niacin-amide, Perfume, Tocopheryl Acetate, Menthol, Citric Acid, Benzophenone-3, Phenoxyethanol, CI 15985, CI 17200, CI 19140

CAUTION: For external use only. Keep away from open flame.

I honestly don't know the price, for this size (225ml), this should be around BND2.20, depending on the place. The highest mark-up would be BND2.50. This should last you about 2 months or more. I'm at the end of this product, I can use it about 5 more days maybe.

The colour might be orange in the bottle, but it's actually clear, as shown in the picture below:

Clear liquid.
I have three other Eskinol toners, and to me, this is the most pleasant smelling one. It smells like papaya and uh, fruity perfume. I don't like the thought of perfume in products (they should not have it, to be honest) but this is fine.

On the cotton pad, this is how it looks like:

Moisten your cotton pad.
After I used it on my face, you can see some traces of dirt.
Due to the menthol, it feels refreshing on the face.
And also the denatured alcohol I guess.

Anyway, even after a week of using the product, I noticed my scars did fade.

The pics I'm about to show is from December 5, 2012:

Yes, I had a breakout D: it was due to stress.
I don't remember if this was before or after, but I believe it's after I wiped my face with the cotton pad. LOL.

Click on the pic to see the full-view.

Right-side.
Left-side.
See the difference??
I mean, if you went to an old pic of me with my acne scars, click here.

I'm not saying this toner IS the miracle product, but it definitely helped.

Again, I cannot stress this enough, I used this with another papaya based product that you can only buy online.

Scary pic of me, sorry.
So yeah, it helped fade the scar on my nose after a week or so (sorry I don't have a pic) but unfortunately, my skin's been acting up, so I do have new scars I need to fade >3<

Like I said, I am running out of this product and recently I'm battling clogged pores (MY ENEMY), so I got the Eskinol Toner for fighting blackheads and also the pimple fighting one. So if that doesn't work, I'll go back to this Papaya one.

So, time for Pros and Cons!!

PROS:

- Cheap (price varies from place to place)
- Available almost everywhere (small shops, big supermarkets, almost everywhere including Guardian)
- Has two sizes, one is 225ml and the other is 135ml, so you can choose to test it out before committing to a bigger size.
- Nice scent (this matters because the other ones smell....horrible)
- Cleanses dirt that your facial cleanser didn't manage to remove.
- Works (for me) in fading post acne scars.

CONS:

- Did you see the list of ingredients? It contains Alcohol Denat., Propylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Castor Oil and Perfume (it depends on skin, but it can cause you to break out)
- Can be drying depending on your skin.
- Some people are against using this (that just shows how drying it can be)
- Not really sure if this, on its own, can really help fade scars.
- Is not helping with my clogged pores D:

Bear in mind, some shops still sell the old packaging (I accidentally bought the old packaging for the Calamansi one) so do check the manufacturing date.

So, do I recommend it?

It really depends.
I like it, personally, that's why I'm trying out two more Eskinol Toners.

So the verdict?

Rating: 4/5 (it would have gotten full marks but the ingredients are questionable)

Do leave a comment below about what you think of this product if you've tried it!

Disclaimer: Remember, our skin differs. What works for me, might not work for you, and vice versa.

Take care!

I Killed Myself

By cutting my hair.

They say the life of a woman lies on their hair.
The length of their hair. The health, the shine, etc.

It's our crown.
So I cut it.

In a sense, I "killed" myself.

It wasn't a drastic cut like I did before. I had a breakdown and I just chopped off most of my hair back then.

Today, when I did it, I just felt very down and depressed.

I wanted an asymmetrical cut and yeah, I got it.

Snip. Snip. Snip.
Yeah, I could say that I barely felt anything as I cut my hair. I kept it long for a reason.

I wanted to keep my bangs long but then I just decided to cut it.

SNIP.
I look dead, don't I?
I feel dead.

Now, that made me younger a bit. Yeah?

All the breaking down is good.

No. It's not. I'm joking.

I nearly poked my eye with the scissors today.

I feel like part of the burden is gone.
But another one came up.

Do YOU cut your own hair for fun? Or to release stress/tension/depression?

Take care.
Do join my giveaway if you haven't. It ends in a few days.

Wrong Timing....

Seriously, it's funny, now that university has started again, I'm more inclined to record and stuff. Like, I could be doing something more productive (for example, watch/read Breakfast At Tiffany's for my Film & Literature class) but noooo, what did I do? I decided to help someone out at university and then missed a lecture because I spent the other day being tired for staying at uni.

Most of my lecturers were gone D: what.

Anyway, so yeah, back to the wrong timing stuff....

So yeah, apparently just like last year, my troll brain decides that "Hey, it's studying time, time to go record some music and busy yourself with music!!!"

HELLLLL NO.

I should be sleeping now, but somehow I'm excited for art later.
I haven't done art in ages, I'm not even kidding.

But ughhhhh, maybe it's anxiety rather than excitement.

Yesterday I already spent time recording Lily Allen's 'Littlest Things', in a raw form. Then tonight, after my Excapade dinner, I decided to record a live version of it. Since I thought I looked decent at that time.

I was in my pajamas the other day. I mean, who wants to see that right? LOL

One was uploaded on my official page and the other, I'll link here:

I'm not gonna lie, I'm saddened my singing face barely has any decent screenshots for the thumbnail. Now I'm stuck with this >_>

Yes, my lips barely move when I sing. This is the truth.

This is what I fear when I make videos of me lip-syncing. So, recording live is always the best bet LOL.

I can't lip-sync.

That's a fact.

How am I gonna be a singer?

I dunno. LOL. You tell me.

Gonna sleep now.
Or rather, study. I dunno D: eeeeek.

Wish me luck on waking up.

Good....MORNING.

Take care.

The Power of Makeup Part 1: Simple Makeup

Hey :)

I'm actually supposed to be sleeping but heck, I figured why not.
I spent the whole day cleaning Shyla's cage, then cleaning my bathroom (coz it got all dirty with the drilling work and stuff) and now my room.

Am I a cleaning freak? No. It just calms me down. Especially when I have anxiety.

Anyway, that's not the point I wanna make.

I had this thought so randomly appear tonight.

The Power of Makeup, on me.

I wouldn't say I'm naturally pretty, especially since when I am at home, I always look like a very plain person. That will be revealed at the end of this post lol.

I could care less on how I look like at home. I always have my hair pulled back with a headband and I either braid it or put it in a bun or clip. I mean, what are the chances of people coming over, right? lol. Plus I need to tend to my Princess. My fussy Princess Shyla. I can't look dolled up when I clean cat poo. No.

I don't have that need lol.

Even going to uni, I sometimes feel okay to look like a plain person with no fashion sense. Sure, I still have some scarring I need to cover and stuff but at least it's not as bad as before. The only tiring part of my routine nowadays are my brows. Having to fill them in every time I go out just because I over-shaved them LOL.

Anyway, the pics I will post will follow a chronological order of when I went to KK until yesterday.

I don't take photos of myself everyday LOL. Just my cat. Who is so pretty now ( ;A; )

Tried so hard to capture her pretty eyes but I failed...
She hates posing D:
This was a lucky shot because she quickly ran away after that.

Her fur is so soft hehehe. I just bathed her the other day.

ANYWAY.

Here's a photo of me when I reached Le Meridien Hotel!

I honestly miss my reddish-pink tinged hair D:
For this, I think I only lined my eyes a little, covered my face with an uberly whitish BB Cream and filled in my brows. I lined my eyes in the car. So pro eh? LOL

Simple, simple makeup but makes such a difference.

Next:

No more reddish tinge (le crey)
This was taken on the way to celebrate SJ's birthday.
She commented I looked old here.

Which I agreed. I used eyebrow mascara on my brows and well, it gave me a weird effect instead of a youthful look. Plus the way I lined my eyes....not very nice D:

I tried doing a cat-eye shape and well, it's not flattering.

I used blush too. I guess this was full faced makeup.

Okay, next!

Taken at Giant. After big Family Dinner.
This was after my stay at Empire Hotel.

I just covered my face with mousse foundation I think and did my brows. That's about it.

Still. makes much of a difference lol.
I don't think I even bothered with my eyes.

And now, for my recent outing on Tuesday with my friends.

With my grey lenses. Painful but pretty.
Lined my eyes with blue eyeliner, and did very very neutral shadows. Did my brows thin and yeah, that's about it lol. Used Revlon Kissable Lipbalm Stain and Etude House Roll Roll Gloss in 'Chai Latte' for the lips.

This is my go-to look nowadays if I'm wearing my lenses out. The blue eyeliner is so waterproof I wanna make a review of it soon! On the same day, something bad happened that made me cry like hell and it stayed put. No smudging at all. Even taking it off with a makeup remover took time!!!

And now.....

For the bare-faced look....

*drumroll*

EEEEK!!!

Smoothened the pic a bit but that's about it lol.
Yes, I'm ugly without makeup.
Well, or rather, plain because I like my eyes lol.

And lips. If you cover my brows and nose, I look decent lol.
Took this pic from the most unflattering angle too!

So yeah.

That's the power of makeup for me.

But I'm getting lazier and lazier nowadays to put on makeup, let alone eye makeup...I just need to make sure my more noticeable scars are covered and have my bangs in front and I'm set.

The bangs make such a difference.

So you see, I don't like it when people who just see my pics assume I'm pretty, because I'm not.

There are filters, there are angles, there are ways to make yourself look pretty.

So yeah, in my mind, I don't like it when people expect me to look like my pics in real life because that's not how I look like lol.

Am I happier in my own skin now? Yes. But my past acne scars still haunt me.

I think for uni makeup, all I'll ever bother with is base makeup if I can help it lol.

But I'll never have my hair like this outside unless I'm with makeup lol.

So yeah, this is my normal bare-faced look.

So men, boys, guys out there.
Here's my face without makeup.

So don't expect me to look like a doll in reality all the time.

This Plain Jane, is what you'll get LOL.

So yeah, do you look very different without makeup?

Or do you look the same? Just enhanced your features?

Do share!

Okay then. I'm sleepy now.

Goodnight everyone!
Take care!

-Nisah-

EDITED: I used the word 'hobo' because my sis calls me that when I dress very badly. So I tend to associate it with how my plain look is. Hobo-like. But in reality, it's far from it I guess. More like very plain.

I am in someone else's womb...

It started off good, today. Well, I woke up late so I couldn't go to the lecture. But it was fine because I was meeting good friends in the afternoon. It was fine, it was fine.

I had a good dream where there was this superstore that sold everything. From Etude House, to TheFaceShop, SkinFood....everything. It was just one superstore. It was one big dream, then somehow crushed into something.

The trees outside my window was burning, everything was burning right in front of my eyes. I tried looking for Shyla but I found that she escaped and got caught by dogs.

I couldn't save her.

I woke up to my mom's call. I was dead to the world. Woken up by a phone call, asking "Are you going to lecture today?"

...
It was too late.

I woke up with bad chest pains. I had a bad dream.

I took my meds. It took a while to wake up.

I live on medication.
And I'm still so young.

Why do I let one mere person affect me so?
Why am I letting one mere 'ant' affect me so?

I couldn't save 'her'.
Nor could I save myself.

I'm already broken.
You can't break what's already broken.

It just keeps breaking.

And breaking.

....and breaking.

No matter how good you try to put them back together, in the end, it'll still break.

Because it's broken.

People ask me why I am willing to give gifts to strangers, help people out so freely, just give freely...give gifts to someone I barely know.

It's because if I can make someone happy, even for just a second, at least I know, my waking, breathing days still have meaning.

I want to be able to make someone happy.

Even when I'm unhappy.

Say, through a song.
You're having a rough day, you feel like crying, you listen to it and it makes you smile.

I want that.

Or read a book that I wrote and you laugh.

I want that.

I want that.
I really want that.

But I'm broken.

I'm broken.

My mom's tired of it. I'm sure she wished I was never born. I'm nothing but trouble.

I'm the bad apple.

I'm the black sheep.

I want to give what I can to people who need it.
Just before I decay away.

I'm decaying away....

2013 is Bordering Bad Already

Not to be negative or anything as I really want this year to be a lot better but of course we can't really control life. Life is not a video game, what happens, happens. There's no save points to re-play it.

I wish we had that pause/play/stop button though, but hey, that's not life.

There's a reason why movies and dramas exist.

Anyway, it's not THAT bad so far. How many days are we into right now? Five? Coming six of course.

Let's see what happened in the first five days of 2013:

1st: My chest pains got worser. It got carried on from 2012. Only my pet cat and my nephew's smile could ease it a bit. Went to Airport Mall/Times Square since I found out that I had an appointment the next day. Shopped. Got into a fight with my mom.

2nd: Went to RIPAS Hospital only to be told that my doctor was on holiday ( =_= ). Changed to the 28th. Tried to log in to my GenNext but kept failing. Chest pain still apparent. Can't walk or breathe well. My Pshychotherapy appointment was scheduled the next day. In the morning, planned to go to the hospital again.

3rd: Went to Dr Amir. Was given meds. Pain eased just a bit. Asked for help to log in to my GenNext. Found out that my account was deemed inactive for this semester. WTF. My throat started getting worse.

4th: Shyla got sick ): I was worried sick. I was scared for her. I went to see my new pyschologist. I cried. I rambled a lot. It wasn't really a good day I guess. Went to Hua Ho Mall. I'm having bad tummy aches now.

5th: Tummy ache still. At least Shyla got slightly better. Nobody could accompany me to buy stuff for Shyla. Spent it on doing some Shyla cleaning love. Shyla threw up so I had to clean...sigh. Found out about something horrible that made me slightly upset.

6th: .....chest still hurting. Will update this later.

So, to sum it up: I've been sick quite a lot. Not fun.

Anyone wants to donate their insides to me? Please? I wanna live normally for once ):

Let's just hope this is just the beginning of something better in the end.

That's it. My stomach still hurts.

Goodnight :)

Take care everyone.

My New Year's Resolutions

Reading everyones comments on my latest giveaway, I'm sure it's only fair that I share my own. Well, most of the things I want to do anyway. I don't usually do resolutions, because I know I might not even follow through with them, so I'm separating them into three!!

From the highest priority to the lowest, of course.

Not much for now, because I never really thought of it.

Okay, let's start:

The-I-Must-Do-It Priorities

1) Live (for those who's read some of my posts before, you might know this means a lot)
2) Be happier (smile, be less angry at the world)
3) Lose more weight (healthily, this time)
4) Pick up old hobbies again (reading, writing and drawing)
5) Have less visits to the doctor (I have three to go to: Gastro, Psycho and Psychiatric)

The-In-Between Priorities

1) Blog more often (reviews, especially!)
2) Learn how to play the guitar (acoustic, so I can compose more songs on my own)
3) Try to cope with studies well (starting over, they say, is hard)
4) Take care of my skin (no more pimples, pretty please?)
5) Write and record more songs (producer, hey you! yes you)

The-I-Wouldn't-Miss-It Priorities

1) Find love (don't find it, it'll come to you, they always say)
2) Learn a new language (or just make one up)
3) Give that present somehow (shhh)
4) Eat more healthily (I do, but burgers appeal to me more)
5) Be nice to everyone (I am, but sometimes they make it hard)

Weird things, aren't they?
Honestly, some, I think I am already doing so yeah, I just need to keep up :)

I think I'm blossoming into a fine lady. HAH, yeah right.

But I'll turn 22 this year, I think so.

I forgot to mention: DYE MY HAIR EITHER PINK/RED/BURGUNDY

Well, what do you think of this colour?

A lot of people think it's real hair (especially on instagram, I wonder why) but yeah, obviously it's a wig lol.

I actually really like the hairstyle.

My DIY dye faded fast. I need a pro to do it, I guess.

I want it to be this colour AND perm it like this too.
If only it's as cheap in Brunei as it was in KK. Should have done it in KK D:

Oh yeah, a poll of sorts.

What would you like to see first?

1) My KK Haul
2) My Recent Back-In-Brunei Haul
3) All The Hauls You Hid From Us
4) Give me some reviews, girl!!
5) My Acne Story

Mind you, I haven't readied any of them but yeah, LOL.

It'd be nice to know what interests you more :)

Anyway, have a nice year everyone.

Take care!

Much love.

My New Year's + 10,000 Hits Giveaway!

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! It's 2013 now by the time I'm posting this!
1/1/13, yes, no more 2012.

Did the world end? Nope. LOL.

I'm happy to announce that my blog has reached 10k views about a month ago or so~

I honestly didn't expect it to be so soon as I have prepared my New Year's Giveaway in advanced. So to celebrate that, I had decided to hold a giveaway with SIX winners!

Yes, you read that right, there will be six winners for this one. Excited?
I sure am!

It's honestly really just a small giveaway, appreciating that people take the time to visit my small blog with lots of rambling and stuff, I can't deny it's mostly about hauls and really little reviews :/ I originally made this blog for reviews, so excuse me for that.

Anyway, on with the prizes :D

Reading feedback, I'm sure not everyone is interested to win makeup as much as I thought they would, so this time, there will be two separate Rafflecopters :)
