Monthly Faves: April 2014

( '-' ) if any of you managed to read the post I did...I apologize.
I'm still not better, but I'm trying to force myself to feel better.

Let's forget about that and let's talk about my favourite products from last month :D

Wrong choice of background LOL

I have a lot of makeup products that I love, with some random things here and there.

1. LUSH "Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream"

- This was my mom's, but she wasn't using it, so I offered to take it from her. She bought it to use for her face though. I love the scent and I feel like it's very moisturising. I use it for my breasts because I feel like it's...uh, sagging a bit from me losing weight last year and I didn't realise it until now! I feel like with this cream and a proper bra, I think it lifted it a bit lol. Either way, the lovely smell lasts a long time! Pricy though x.x

2. Catrice "Evolution to Revolution Ultra Black Volume Mascara"

- I bought this because it was on sale (it's discontinued) and I quite like it! It's not waterproof, I haven't cried with it, but it lasts long enough before it kind of flakes. It has two wands for two looks: Look 1 is for natural volume and Look 2 is for dramatic volume. I prefer Look 1's wand :)

3. TheFaceShop "Faceit All About Gel Eyeliner"

- This was my sister's and she stopped using it so I took it from her. This gel liner is amazing. It doesn't smudge and it's just awesome! It's just a bit unpractical because she lost the brush and I keep forgetting where my liner brush went to lol.

4. Etude House "Aloha V-Line Slim Maker"

- I mostly use the contour side for my nose and the sides of my cheeks. It's a bit lighter than what I prefer but I've been liking it more, especially since I'm using the Real Techniques Contour Brush. It blends nicely and is build-able without looking muddy. The highlighter is pretty but I rarely use it.

5. Etude House "Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color"

- I've done a review on this here. I've been loving this for the cheeks and lips. It's just so flattering on my skintone, but I do need lipbalm because it's not moisturising.

6. Etude House "Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Balm"

- I wanna say holy grail but this is not in the permanent line I think ;-; I have oily-combination skin and this is still awesome on me. I would skip moisturiser and just go straight to this after toning my skin. I don't need a primer with this because the lasting power is good. The coverage is medium to full. The applicator is also what makes this product a winner, so I bought an extra one :)

7. Catrice "All Round Concealer"

- I've hit pan on two shades. The lightest shade does not suit me at all so I might mix it with something else. The product doesn't last that long but it's still handy to have around. It blends easily too.

8. essence "I  Stage Eyeshadow Base"

- Still my go-to primer. Full review here

9. Makeup Revolution "Iconic 3 Palette"

- Lovely shades that are suitable for everyday use. It blends nicely! It looks like I'm barely making a dent because I really don't need much to build up colour, especially for the darker shades. It's an everyday natural palette that I am reaching for all the time.

10. Etude House "Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss"

- I didn't look up the shade name but it's #10. It's just a lovely colour, the purple made me buy it. A review for other shades can be found here.

11. Dolly Wink "Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black"

- I found it hard to use this at first, but I do like it. It doesn't last on my lower lash line unfortunately, but it applies quite nice on the upper lash line. Quite pricy though.

12. Etude House "BB Cream Cotton Fit"

- Good oil control? Not really. However, it is medium to full coverage and I rarely need to apply concealer when I use this. Actually it's the same with the Glow Balm too. It blends nicely and W24 is a great shade match for me. Does not crease around my laugh lines (not as bad as other foundations/BB creams). It looks quite natural on me.

13. PlusWhite "5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel"

- It works gradually without hurting my teeth. It does make it sensitive, but just a little. I'm happy because it actually works, but I need to be diligent. I drink a lot of tea so this is a must.

14. SkinFood "Avocado Rich Eye Balm"

- It moisturises nicely without giving me milia seeds. A little goes a long way and it smells heavenly.

15. OraLabs "Chap Ice Cherry Lip Balm"

- I lost my Baby Lips so I turned to this. It's actually quite moisturising and I use it a lot. Easy to carry around too!

16. Travel Size Stippling Brush

- It's from the fake M.A.C Hello Kitty set. It's poor quality BUT it works so well with applying cream or powder blushes! I don't look like a clown for once :D

17. Real Techniques "Contour Brush"

- It's because of this brush that I am now contouring my cheeks again. It just does a terrific job at it and I can't be without it, I love it so much!

18. Real Techniques "Buffing Brush"

- My new best friend at buffing my foundation and BB Cream. It just does the job so beautifully.

PHEW.
That was longer than intended.

Do you like any of the products I faved?

If there are any products you'd like me to write a full review on, do leave a comment :)

'til then, take care!

Another Miri Haul (theBalm, Dolly Wink, Garnier, Books, etc.)

Should I just do a pic dump?
I'm kinda tired lol.

Anyway, I overspent a little bit than normal because some of the stuff I bought was pricier than I normally go for...in fact, I nearly indulged in a high-end foundation (Estee Lauder Doubler Wear) but I didn't!! That'd be in my wishlist.

Well, two items from theBalm already used up most of my money lol. I am so far happy with the things I got, the ones I've used already. Like, I think it's worth it.

Moving on~

From SaSa
It's hard to resist this place, really. Especially when it's the only place that sells theBalm.
I've become more wary of the things I buy from them, of course, I always ask for the SA to show me the products now lol before I buy. I do notice that no matter what, it seems like it's SO HARD for theBalm powder products to look flawless somehow.

Of course you can't tell if it's been swatched or not but sometimes, there are marks still, and it makes you go "What." but eh. The foundation is sealed inside, which is good. I still wish the powder products are sealed as well. like, after they inspect if it's broken or what, they should tape it.

Here's what I got:

1. theBalm timeBalm Foundation
2. theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer
3. Lennox Calorie Limit Tea (found out that I might be allergic to one ingredient >_>)
4. Combos Skin Pore Refining Set
5. Dolly Wink Liquid and Pencil Eyeliner
6. Prestige Primed & Ready Eye Primer

The foundation is the priciest item I got in this haul...it would have been beaten by the ELDW if I did buy it though LOL.

I got only one item from Watsons.

This thing right here.
I actually love the feeling of this scrub. On the body and on the face, it works wonders XD
Yes, it is abrasive for the face BUT I have pretty thick skin >_>

From Guardian
1. Nexcare Acne Patch x2
2. O'slee Lemon Soda Serum
3. Darlie Expert White Toothpaste
4. Garnier BB Cream

No.2-4 is mainly bought because I saw ads on it.
Yes, I fall for ads.
Damn me.

Haven't used any of them yet (except for the acne patch)

From Super Save and Cindy
Random stuff haul lol.
I needed some stuff for my bathroom.
I got some hair ties, some cheap e.l.f brush dupes...they work well btw.

Tweezers for falsies, eyelid tape (yep, for days my eyes are uneven) and a hairbrush.

The envelopes are for sending giveaway presents.
I started to force myself to draw again...so I bought some sketchbooks.
I dunno why, I have a lot at home but I did it anyway.

Sorry, trees ;-;

BOOKS.
As always, I find myself buying ViVi even though I'm not THAT into fashion :x
I got the Little Black Dress book so I can learn about making dress patterns.
A book about cats? I needed one.

That's all for my haul!
I'm pretty content with the things I got I guess lol.

'til then, take care!

"Wanna Be Sweet?" Etude House + Grocery Shopping Haul

Random opening yeah? With this title.

Tomato juice right now, is my best friend. Even though, my skin is peeling like hell. I dunno if it's done a good effect as of yet, but it IS the "Blood of Youth". I mean, Just look at how red it is!!

Blood. BLOOD OF TOMATOES!!
The carton of the one I drink right now. TIPCO :)
Personally, I think it's more liquidy than Dimes Tomato Juice, but a lot expensive also. But still cheaper than the organic one I saw. Maybe the organic one would taste better, who knows.

OH YEAH. I saw this guy get two cartons of tomato juice tonight D: ENEMY. STAY AWAY FROM TIPCO!!! IT'S MINEEEEEEEE.

Just kidding ;)

Tonight I decided to do a test of the Dolly Wink retractable liner. I was like, "OH GOSH, CAN APPLY SO THIN!!!" I was amazed. Actually, it was my skill rather than the liner itself.

HAHA, JOKING.

It was easy to control. And it was also still quite opaque even with over my shadow (which you can't see here lol). Unfortunately, it DID smudge, but just a little. Nothing so sad. It didn't fade, just smudged, especially on the lower lash line.

Freshly applied. So thin!!
So, tonight we went to Hua Ho Mall to get my sister some bras. I got myself one cute one also. Just $8, so ;3 actually there was a $3 one, but it was too thin. Even though I have no boobs (considering how fat I am) I don't think I'd want a thin one D:

Male readers, close your eyes.
Since my period is coming sooner than expected, better get ready.

Might as well, right? lol.
Bra and Womanly Needs.

After grocery shopping at Hua Ho, we went to Times Square. It was already around 9 :O wow. So late. I had some maki sushi and my Mint Milk Tea. I ordered Okonomiyaki but it came late, so I just tapau-ed it *ate some for late supper*.

This is my sister's order. Haru Maki. Spring Roll. LOL. I didn't eat it.
My Mint Milk Tea that was smiling :)
Other than the bra and the...womanly needs, I also got this tea :) Haven't tried it. But I DO love the brand!! So, I'm excited.

The Nutrilite thing is from Amway. I decided to try and balance my mood with B Complex. I shall try it tomorrow.
"Food" Section.
Other than that, I decided to get a moisturizer. I asked for moisturizer, the person recommended this. Okay lah, I'll try it. I hope it's okay :) it has sakura ): I'm afraid I might be allergic, but hopefully not. I mean, I HAVE walked amongst sakura trees!! D: I didn't sneeze or anything!

Have you tried this brand before?
OHH, and here it comes!! The grand finale of sorts.
My Etude House Haul!!

Mini haul? Meh.
I decided to just use my $20 voucher for tonight. It was quite late, didn't get to browse long enough ): So I just went to get nailpolishes and a lip liner.

Wanna be sweet??
Goodies inside :O
6 polishes and a lip liner :)
I feel bad for the sales assistants because it was so late already ): had only 15 minutes to browse. Just quickly chose colours, didn't get to swatch the polishes.

I can tell you, only two of these are opaque at one coat.
Two at two coats.
Maybe one at three.

And one that I looked forward the most, even 4 coats didn't do it D:<

LIKE WTF.

Just horrible ):

Okay, I'll tell you. It's the Mint Green one.

Sad. I wanted a Choco Mint nail theme but that failed. It just looks like a faded white, very pale. Like, it's pretty, but not that pretty. Nor was it perfect either ):

I'm gonna redo my nails tomorrow. I might just decide a Tigger theme :)

This amounted to BND$22.30.
Which means.....

*drumroll*

.
.
.
.
.

TA-DA!!!!!
I'm a "princess" now!!
Tee-hee. But it didn't say how much discount I get :O
Except for birthday discount.

Some say 15%, let's hope so.

Oh yeah, I was checking the lip liner and...

So short. That's the max it can go.
For $4.90 I guess...it's okay.
The refills are the same price too, but dunno how much in one refill box.

I hope it's more than one.

Oh yeah, the nailpolishes are $2.90 each.
I want to try the matte ones which are $4.90 each.

I guess next time, I'm gonna get a top coat and a base coat, dunno if I want from TheFaceShop or Etude House. But yeah :)

I guess I'm happy with tonight's things.

My mood swings are calmed down today too.
Thank goodness.

I'm happy :)

So yay.

I'm gonna go drink green tea :)

Thanks for reading (do I even have readers?)!!!

'til then!!

Dry Skin Woes. Early Period Woes. Missed Period Woes.

No, I'm not going to post a pic of it but just imagine, cheeks with lots of scars and active breakouts and to top that off, dry flaky skin.

I guess it's from me using the Nixoderm (I have to stop for now) and I had to steam my face for a bit. That was yesterday.

Today, it was less dry, but still dry toward the night.
As of now, I mean. I'm using SkinLab's Concentrated Vitamin E Cream again to combat it. It's not the most moisturizing but it would do for now.

I had two consecutive emotional breakdowns (which I won't elaborate here) and just tonight, I noticed a (TMI here, so I'm sorry) discharge with blood. I'm like, so wtf-ed because that means I'm two weeks plus early for my period.

My friend said it must be either stress, poor nutrition and other stuff. All of it, I guess.

I'm not happy about it. It also made me realize that I missed my period in March.

Like. How come I never realized that.
My April time of the month was a couple days early....

...and now, two-three weeks early?

That would explain my horrible mood swings.

So horrible. So very horrible.

I don't know.
There's definitely something abnormal with it. I'm not happy.

I never realized I haven't been taking care of myself properly.

I just didn't realize.

Maybe tomorrow, I'll either have a product swatch and mini review maybe.
I tested out the Dolly Wink Retractable Eyeliner (I guess that's what it's called) and I was amazed (at the swatch) at how it didn't smudge, budge...I even had a hard time removing it.

I guess I should try it out on the eyes if my mood is stable enough.

'til then :D

P.S: I know it's short and uneventful but yeah, sorry ):

Outing with Friends and Look What Arrived!!

Today I went out with my friends, you know, just to catch up kind of thing. We didn't do much catching up, but a revelation for the worst was brought to my attention and I tried my best to not be affected by it. Even though it hurts me inside a lot. All I can do is pray ):

I woke up late today and I had less than an hour to get ready before my friend picked me up. I stupidly decided to wear my clear contacts because I know, if I don't, it'll be a waste!!!

My hair looked awesome at first but as the day goes by, it went horrible LOL.

Here's an instagram pic of me after I got ready:

I look pained from the lenses here.
And "genki"er here LOL
Anyway, I first ate at The Colony. That place is bittersweet to me now, but Goddammit they serve the best Chicken Avocado Foccacia ever!! Sure, eating that reminds me of him but it still filled me up well. Farah had the red velvet. And then we talked, while waiting for our other friend.

Then we went to Coffee Bean so that Carmen could have her cupcake/muffin and caramel.....frappucino? LOL. Cannot recall it.

We had more talks and stuff there, and I felt sleepy but it was hard because of the lenses.
Somehow, I always keep forgetting to take pics of friends. Damn.

Not a picture person anyway. Even when I was with my ex, taking pics were the last thing on our mind. Dunno if that's a blessing or a curse.

I went to buy some e.l.f stuff after that at Paloma.
Just randomly picked some things. I'm pretty sure they were old stock but meh.

I hope the zit zapper works at least. It smells like my Etude House Pink Spot Powder. I think it's the camphor.
Forgot to add I wore this and my aquamarine bracelet out. It looked good with my outfit wtf.
My mom got that for me, randomly. It's a Lapis Lazuli and it's quite pretty and fashionable, weirdly. I despise the fact that it's blue...because the ex loves blue. Somehow I'm being tossed blue things recently from mom. That included a bra. I'm not a fan of blue but for accessories, I don't mind. And undergarments, I also don't mind :x

Made this the other day, Gnocchi a la Antam. It's peeled tomatoes and some tuna. Then I added some flavours, some herbs and stuff. Might make some tomorrow too.
Wrote this for Versatility. I should charge them extra coz the ex is there and he's being mean. I joke. But seriously.
Oh, that brings me to one embarrassing fact.

I made a "fanpage" of myself.
Or rather, for my work in singer/songwriting, drawing and writing.

https://www.facebook.com/OfficialNiSA

I'd appreciate a like, but then it's not for my blog wtf.

Are people even reading the crap I write here?
LOL

Ah well, it's more like therapy for me.

Oh yeah, lookie here.
It arrived :DD

The Dolly Wink....retractable eyeliner? I dunno what you call it. But I've never seen this before :O
And apparently it's limited edition? Boy, do I feel special LOL

Can't wait to try it out!! My first Dolly Wink product!!

Tsubasa looks very awesome here :D
Awww, a note :) last time there was no note. How nice.
Oh yeah, I went to survey TheFaceShop and Holika Holika today. Might get something from them next time :) and I saw that The Face Shop had matte eyeshadows!!! LIKE WTF.

:OOO interesting. But none of the shops had translucent powder. Wtf.

I also ranted about Tony Moly while at TheFaceShop. I should post the rant next time. It's not that bad, it's more to pricing and product quantity. I mean, TheFaceShop (and apparently Holika Holika) is known for the volume of the products (to me, anyway) and like, it's...just not worth it. Some products. Personally, okay?

I like things big. That includes the product.

Ah well.

I need to try and sleep earlier. Been sleeping at 3 nowadays. This happened before, with two reasons: thinking about my ex 'til I get worried sick OR there's a ghost/spirit around bothering me again.

Yes, again.

Sigh.

I wish they'd just leave me alone ):

Anyway, good night :DD
