Another Miri Haul ｡◕‿◕｡ (With a Story)

Hi guys!
Yesterday I went to Miri with my parents to make new lenses for my glasses (my degree went WAYYY down) so yeah. I didn't plan on buying a lot of makeup, honest! I just planned to get only the two things I booked...but I'll explain in a bit why I went ahead and bought a lot of...something.

I didn't sleep the night before so I just went and prepped myself in the morning, threw on some weird clothes combination (I don't mind how I look but people a.k.a my sister usually says something if it looks too off). I also stupidly went ahead and wore contacts because I thought I'd be without my glasses for the whole day (ended up removing them in the car when I wanted to sleep).

I ended up not wearing them at all when I arrived at Miri because it only takes 30 minutes for my new lenses LOL. I walked around blind the whole time.

I never realised how long my face was, maybe it's the lack of glasses and the hair.

I stupidly decided to use a sunscreen WITH a non-SPF BB-cream. Wrong move. My face melted. Everything smeared---it was horrible.

Buy hey, I loved my brows!

Just something comfy on.

I was testing out some products to review too. One of them passed with flying colours~ but I can't review it just yet!

So yeah, when we reached Miri, at the money exchange, I had a small accident.

Papercut Accident.

That's my blood on the floor, all smeared. There was a lot of blood from a tiny papercut (which I can still recall in my head). I guess due to it being at the tip of my finger, there was just a lot of red and it HURT. I can still hear the sound the paper made as it sliced through my finger...it was loud o(；△；)o

When I was still without glasses, I went ahead and bought some magazines. It was hard to kinda squint all the time.

Haven't finished reading them.

Anyway, I was left alone most of the time to finish a lot of errands for my sis. I was supposed to get her some stuff she needs for her business, so yeah.

During lunch, I went to Watsons and grabbed some stuff because I realized then how dry and patchy my undereye was! I needed a moisturising concealer, ASAP!

From Watsons I got:

- Watsons Square Puffs

- Simple Regeneration Age-Resisting Eye Cream

- Maybelline "Pure.Concealer" Mineral Healthy Natural Concealer in '01 Light' (it's really the name, Japanese version)

- SilkyGirl Skin Perfect Liquid Concealer in '02 Natural'

- Garnier BB Eye Roll-on in 'Natural'

I know, I went a bit crazy with the concealers but I honestly don't have many that are moisturising enough! They were mostly affordable though, especially with the sale going on!

I might open the Garnier one first and hope it works!

OH, btw, when I went out of Watsons, the fucking thing beeped on me! I had to like just hand over my stuff even though I know I paid for it. I HATE Watsons security thing, it always beeps for whatever reason! UGH.

I know I didn't steal anything so I just waited impatiently for my stuff :/

Sigh.

After that I went to have lunch with my parents. I had chicken parmigiana from Secret Recipe. I wasn't very hungry but I finished the chicken.

I went to SaSa next, to get my booked stuff. I had to fight myself and not go into TheFaceShop and Tony Moly this time, it was so hard.

At SaSa, I asked for my stuff lol.

They got the foundation wrong but luckily they have it in-stock.

Whee~

I got:

- theBalm Balm Voyage LE Palette (and a mini Stainiac for free)

- Revlon Colorstay for Oily/Combination skin in '310 Warm Golden'

- Kate Stick Concealer in 'Natural Beige'

I asked for a moisturising concealer for the under-eye and as expected, they lead me to theBalm. I have had my eyes on the TimeBalm Concealer, yes, but I didn't think it was moisturising for me right now. I think I might get it, one day, once I finish a lot of my concealers lol. But when she suggested the Kate one, I really liked it! It was quite nice and easily blended.

I also removed most of my makeup wish list items on my wish list page because a friend suggested I should do that because I have a lot of makeup.

As for the foundation, I really wanna try it but I think I can try and not do so, yet. I hope I can do more foundation/BB cream reviews for you guys! I think I might re-take all the photos for reviews, or at least add swatches on my lips or eyes or face LOL.

Also got some clothes.

One of them is too small for me, at least it's too small for my bum area. I'm quite chubby and I've been doing squats...I don't think it helped. Losing fat on my legs would make it fit well I guess. I'm talking about the pale mint thing in the middle. I don't know what it's called...

I've been wearing the headscarf a lot when I go out so the clothes I picked might not suit such a thing. When I go to Miri I don't use it, I try to, but my head hurts a lot if I travel too far.

Last but not least, I got:

My Kribit a.k.a Mr Doorstop.

I shared the story on my Instagram but yeah, basically I was confused as to why he's heavy but bought him anyway, until I saw on the receipt that he's a doorstop.

A fluffy doorstop.

Ah well.

There were also some items from Super Save but it's really small things.

P.S: Oh btw, I saw the "new" Maybelline Dream line and swatched them, didn't like it very much, so I didn't get it. It was quite affordable though. I wish they brought in the concealer too!

Anyway, I overspent a little bit than normal because some of the stuff I bought was pricier than I normally go for...in fact, I nearly indulged in a high-end foundation (Estee Lauder Doubler Wear) but I didn't!! That'd be in my wishlist.

Well, two items from theBalm already used up most of my money lol. I am so far happy with the things I got, the ones I've used already. Like, I think it's worth it.

It's hard to resist this place, really. Especially when it's the only place that sells theBalm.

I've become more wary of the things I buy from them, of course, I always ask for the SA to show me the products now lol before I buy. I do notice that no matter what, it seems like it's SO HARD for theBalm powder products to look flawless somehow.

Of course you can't tell if it's been swatched or not but sometimes, there are marks still, and it makes you go "What." but eh. The foundation is sealed inside, which is good. I still wish the powder products are sealed as well. like, after they inspect if it's broken or what, they should tape it.

The envelopes are for sending giveaway presents.

I started to force myself to draw again...so I bought some sketchbooks.

I dunno why, I have a lot at home but I did it anyway.

August Collective Haul *Hits Self*

I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LACK OF BLOGGING.
OMG.

Can't believe it's been exactly a MONTH since my last update. I'm so sorry :(
I've been procrastinating a lot.


Things happened too....hm, but that'll be for another time I believe.

I will have a giveaway up soon, btw. Once I have the time to like, make the video for it!
The bad thing about this post is that, once I took all the photos, I realized that I missed some things...I'll put it in a bracket somewhere.


For this haul post, there are some items for the giveaway too lol. So yeah, not all is for me.

I went to Miri twice, but to be honest, I don't think I bought THAT many stuff. It's just that some of it is more expensive x___x I'm trying not to buy anything this month BUT I need a mascara D: I kinda want an essence mascara. Any recommendations?


Anyway, moving on to the haul...

Here are all the things (minus some nose pore strips, toothpaste and some cream)

Some are from Paloma, but most are from Miri.

These are all collective from Watsons, Guardian, Tony Moly, TheFaceShop, SaSa (yes, I had to go back there >_> you'll see why).

Let's break it down, shall we? I will add some mini thoughts to the items I've tried.

Body mist, Gel eyeliners and a Handcream.

I got the body mist from Paloma. It was BND4.90 I think. I forgot the price by now. It smells identical to Victoria's Secret Body Mist in 'Love Spell'. Well, close enough. It smells more sweet I think but it's very similar. It's called 'Enchanted Kiss'. You can say they are copies of VS.

For the IN2IT gel eyeliners, I really only wanted a matte black gel eyeliner that would last well. This was fine, but it was too creamy for my liking. I will giveaway the brown one because I have a lot of browns already.

The hand cream is from TFS. I haven't opened it but it smelled okay when I sampled it. I preferred Tony Moly's hand creams I guess. Smells more natural.

Brush cleanser, De-pigmentor serums and a Lipbalm.

The brush cleanser is from Cyber Colors at SaSa. It wasn't that good, to be honest. Works better for eye brushes over face brushes, that's for sure. I wouldn't repurchase it once I run out I believe.

These nanowhite de-pigmentor serums were once my HG scar fading serum but so far, I think it doesn't work as well anymore. I don't know why. These things aren't cheap either :/ but I'll make it work again. I changed my skincare routine, maybe that's why.

A girl can't have too many lipbalms! I decided to buy another one of this variant because I love it so much. I have a lot of lipbalms to burn to be honest...

Lip products, Eye primer, Concealer, Eyeliner and Stick eyeshadow.

Most of the things here are from Tony Moly.

I've used three of the products here. Some of them are for my next giveaway haha.

I liked the products so much that I kinda want to give some away~

The slim lipstick from TM is such a joy on the lips. It's not drying, it's convenient and it smells lovely. Unfortunately they ran out of the colour I liked so I bought a more plummy one for the giveaway. It's definitely something I'd repurchase in the future.

I have the Petit Bunny Gloss in the yellow variant, so I decided to get two of them...so the winner of the giveaway can choose which one they liked more :3 both are cute.

I've also tried the eyeliner. That's from SilkyGirl. I thought it'd be my HG but so far, it smudges on my lower lashline ): I still can't find my HG black eyeliner yet! It's good though, for a drugstore brand.

The eye primer from TFS is also surprisingly good! Unfortunately it's kinda oily LOL.

I haven't opened the concealer and the stick eyeshadow from TM.

MORE ITEMS.

I've tried both CandyDoll products. They were kind of a letdown for the price :O

The lipgloss applies smooth but there's barely any colour. It's super sticky too!

The lipstick I have is in Vanilla Beige? It makes me look like a corpse XD acts more like a lip concealer for my skintone I guess!

theBalm's eyeshadow is for the giveaway also! It's in my favourite shade, Mischievous Marissa. It's not included in any of the Shady Lady palettes just so you know!

The lipbalm here is for a giveaway :3 (I'm giving away three kinds of lip products wtf)

essence stuffs here are from Paloma, obviously. I haven't tried the matt powder and you guys know how much I love the eye primer! However, I found out that it works best with SOME eyeshadow brands and works not so well with others. I think matte eyeshadow works best for it because my Urban Decay eyeshadows (satin, shimmery ones) kinda creased under 5 hours D:

The two eggs are from TM. I needed stuff for my blackheads.

I prefer the brown egg over the white one, that's for sure!

PHEW!

It's Been a Long Time Since... (A Miri Haul)

So yeah, unfortunately I had to start my haul with that negative post before. You can read it here.

Moving on, it's been a while since I went to Miri. Actually, the trip's been delayed since last month? Which is kind of a bummer. I only had two hours of sleep before my dad actually woke me up. I woke up with gastritis. It was not fun. It was not glamorous. It was awful.

I threw up ( > <; ) but eh.
I've always had stomach problems.

I downed some milk and had a soft boiled egg. It's been a while since I drank milk. I've been avoiding it because I wanted to avoid animal hormones? Especially from milk. But I had to do it anyway.

I wore just concealer and powder. For the eyes, I tried using the UD Primer Potion in Eden. I HATE it. It hurt my eyes. Ugh. I think it performed okay but I just don't like it so it might go on my blogsale :/

Over the primer, I used one of MUA's baked eyeshadows. It did not work well with the primer :x

So yeah, I still hate my short hair. I don't bother to work with it as much.

Was supposed to get my haircut but eh.

Otw to Miri I was sleepy but I couldn't sleep because that little kid in the photo? Yeah. Him.

GOD.

There were times I wanted to just push him back because he just kept on talking and talking. Basically I did not get ANY sleep. My ears were ringing!!

We went to K.K. Koya for some rojak. It was nice even though my stomach was like "STOP EATING" and I regret not eating more of it.

I don't remember much but I believe the first thing I got was my bag.

I also had my glasses tightened too xD

I was just thinking out loud, "Man, I need a new bag" and looked at some cheaper ones but at the end, I was kinda forced to get something over RM100 lol; I fell in love with the colour though. Thought it would look good with everything.

The wallet was something I needed for the longest time.

After that we had lunch at Marry Brown. I had a Hot Touch Burger and some curly fries with Milo XD it was surprisingly filling!

Finished with lunch, me and my dad went to Watsons, I got two items from there:

-Hiruscar Post Acne Gel

-Pure Beauty Antioxidant Eye Gel

I wanted to get the Nanowhite De-Pigmentor Serum but the lady said it was more for freckles and stuff. I wouldn't mind buying it again next time though.

She recommended Bio-Oil but I said I don't really like it.

So in the end I got the Hiruscar one.

I also asked for an eye cream or gel and she recommended this Korean brand. I tried it, it made my eyes feel weird. I hope I don't wake up with swollen eyes!

The things I got.

I went to SaSa and got three items. One of them was free but I wasn't really excited about it.

I edited my lips here. There's something about just removing the pigmentation around the sides of my lips and I suddenly look a lot better. LOL. Wtf.

I'm still trying to master concealing it with makeup.

I'm surprised I managed to refrain from buying makeup other than the primer.

I hope the primer works well. It was kinda pricy :/

New Banner, Shyla & Some Insta-Haul Pics!

As much as I'd like a new blog layout, I think for now this is still the best layout. Unless, you don't think so?

Anyhow, I'm sure you'd have noticed the new banner by now?
I commissioned my friend, Farah, to draw me my new banner.

I'd have done it myself but I'm out of touch with my art side and I doubt I can draw myself.

The theme of the blog banner is me and macarons. The story is that last 2 weeks, my older sis bought loads of macarons for us! I wanted to take a photoshoot with the colourful macarons but my sis was out so I got bummed.

Look at all those macarons!! A total of 12 flavours and it cost BND72 !! 

Then my friend brought about the idea of drawing the macarons. I thought I'd do it, but then I decided to ask her to do it. LOL. Why? Because I'm lazy.

No, actually, I'm a bad colorist. So yeah, I commissioned her to do it. What do you think?

Anyhow~

If you remember, a few posts ago, I said I was gonna adopt a cat named Pinky. It turned out that if I wanted to adopt her, I had to adopt her sibling, Brain, too, because they're so close. I don't have the energy to take care of two cats!! So I decided to adopt Shyla instead.

Meet Shyla!

Shyla, as the name suggests, is a shy cat. Or was a shy cat anyway!

Now, she's in heat currently and is curious about everything. I just got her approximately 9 days ago and so far, so good. She's so docile :) I love her. She kissed me on the lips the other day lol.

So yeah....the last few days, or a week ago, I hauled a lot of stuff. I went to Miri, I went to haul HolikaHolika stuff and then went overboard again with shopping D: My stuff from sasa.com also came!

I took photos with my sister's DSLR but unfortunately, she has not transferred the photos >_>

I actually booked theBalm's The Balm Jovi Palette in advance, just in case I didn't manage to get it! I'm so happy I got it! It's such a nice palette.

I also got a free clear lip gloss and a lipstick with it! Ain't that a good deal??

Since I butchered my eyebrows accidentally, I decided to get an eyebrow pencil that's slightly waterproof. I also got a Kate Eyebrow Mascara and last but not least, a nice synthetic brush nice for applying powder!

Along with SaSa, I went to TheFaceShop which was having a sale at that time.

I got myself some nailpolishes, a lip tint and decided to try out the Lip & Eye Make-up Remover too.

I didn't regret getting the Angela Aki album but the Nakashima Mika dvd was wtf >_>

I also got the November CLEO and Vivi but I'm too lazy to take pics of it!

I also hauled a bunch of Maybelline Baby Lips Color Lip Balm.

I bought Coral Flush in Brunei. The rest was at Watsons.

I gave away the Pink Lolita in my last giveaway and I gave away the Rose Addict to my niece :)

I myself have not tried them yet. I heard the colours are very subtle.

I might just get the complete collection (all 5 colours) for myself :D

Oh, and I also got these amazing shoes for half off!!

My dream shoes :D

Unfortunately, I don't have jeans that go well with them. So far, I have to wear tights or leggings with them.

A lot of my friends said I lost weight. Well, I did but honestly, I always had the smallest legs compared to the rest of my body LOL. No, I didn't photoshop this. It's the combination of the shoes and the black tights/leggings that make me look thin. If my stomach problems didn't happen, I could have toned my legs better.

Anyway, back to Miri~

Green Tea Cheese Cake. It was so silky and smooth!

Food. I only had this and a burger from Mary Brown. To be honest, after my stomach problems, I don't eat much. Except during PMS (which is now).

Okay. Moving on.

Let's talk about Holika Holika haul!

Went out with my lenses and did my brows in a Japanese style. I did my niece's eyes because she wanted makeup but I had no time Dx

We went to Yayasan because I was craving for bibimbap!

Yummy-licious thing right here!

After that, I was tempted to get this eyeliner from TFS but in the end, I ended up buying from Holika Holika and got a membership card too!

The price made me cry but I think it's worth it!! I thought this was gonna be the last haul I did. It was, indeed. FOR NOVEMBER.

Will break this down in another post.

And the samples are skincare ones too! My face is volatile enough. I gotta be more careful, you see.

So far, I've opened one of the lip liners and the concealer.

Good news is that I am now a member :D just waiting for the member card now.

Only after buying it, I found out TSS has expiry dates on the boxes. So I checked.

I also think I might be allergic to the BB Cream. I hope that's not the case. The BB Cream expires next year, so that's okay.

I'm kinda bummed :/ don't they check stocks? I know they were trying to clear stuff out by having a 70% off sale BUT selling expired products is wrong. Right?

Appointments and Stuff

Hey :D

Sorry, I really wanted to blog yesterday but somehow I wasn't feeling well enough. I went to the checkup today. Apparently, it was just a checkup to CONFIRM when the colonoscopy would be! I was worried for nothing LOL. I actually didn't have enough sleep. I couldn't sleep, so I decided to record a cover song. I slept around 7AM, then I had to wake up around 12PM to get ready to go. Arrived around 1.30PM and had to wait a long time because my doctor was in a meeting. Went to see an on-call doctor instead.

Had to wait around an hour, so I took a nap on my mom's shoulder.

When I was actually called up, the doctor was nice. So basically I explained that I went to JPMC and stuff and how my doctor there recommended taking an endoscopy too. Then, I found out that the waiting list for colonoscopy could take two months D:

I can't have that! I'm planning to get back to uni in January.

So they might try bump me up, I dunno.

When he checked my tummy, it actually hurt. It was very tender. I never realized that until he actually gently tapped on it.

Anyway, that means my life with doctor thingies aren't gonna end any time soon!

My Macbook Pro casing finally came! OMG, waited so long for it :D

Tiffany Blue, baby!!

I have this weird love for Tiffany Blue nowadays :)
It's just pretty.

But what I'm noticing as I'm typing, the edges around the place where you rest your wrist is hurting me. It's very sharp ): what a bummer. I haven't had the protective screen on yet though. My bro helped me put this together :)

I was actually asleep when he did it. I was just mumbling while he did the rest. My laptop was charging and stuff. I took a nap, a long one. I really didn't want to wake up. I kept dreaming about weird stuff.

I expected the rubberized case to be more sticky but surprisingly, it's not!!

I got so excited I actually asked my sis to paint some tiffany blue on my thumbs XD

Sorry for the dry cuticles ): Been dehydrated.

I chose my usual go-to colours :) I have never tried to actually use nailart, feels weird. Dunno if I like it. I mean, I can only paint my nails on my period anyway :/ feels like a hassle to be all fancy, you get what i mean?

I believe this is almost all my nailpolish collection

I was debating whether to go with dark colours or lighter ones but obviously the lighter ones won XD

I wanna get some nude colours next time!

It's nothing much like I usually do lol. I kinda refrained.

I got the wax strips from Guardian, the deodorant too. The rest are from SuperSave.

I would have bought more things from SuperSave but I didn't have time :/

Makeup Collection!

theBalm stuff came from SaSa of course. I got the Sexy Mama Translucent Powder and a Shady Lady Single Eyeshadow in Mischievous Marissa. I got lucky that I don't have a similar colour in my Nude'tude! But...I think I can find a dupe on my Cafe Au Lait :O

I got another Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti. I was on a swatching spree, even asked my dad to compare swatches. I also got this..Maybelline Water Shine Pure Lipstick. It's very sheer :O but kinda pretty. It looks nice swatched. I think it'll look good on people with less pigmented lips.

And lastly, I got two more packs of my favourite makeup wipes :D Pictured here is the one I'm currently using up though.

I got two new items of clothing.

I chose...colourful ones.

Very spring-like, what was I thinking??

Very retro, old lady looking.

 I'll say it flat out, these are HUGE.
Got them from Ms Read, a place my mom shops at.
It's, to me, I define it as a plus-sized clothing place.
A fashionable one though.

Am I that fat?
Not really.

But I'm not thin either and I rather not show my fat arms and my tummy.

These sizes though, are a little bit toooooo loose.
But they're comfy.

They only had two sizes left. The other one was hugeee.

I think it'd look nice in shorts but I don't think I'm allowed to wear them.
But who knows XD
I can definitely say if I ever get pregnant, this would definitely fit.

And lastly.

One. Magazine.

 I HATE it when shops decide to use a very sticky sticker for the price. It ripped off the shiny layer. My OCD hates that. HATES that.

On a side note, Lena is HOT.

I was very bummed out that I couldn't find Marina and The Diamonds's Electra Heart album ):
Really, really bummed out.

And here are the fruits of my labour~

Michael Smith's Choco Chip Cookie Brownie

THIS WAS SOOO GOOOOD.

Even my maid liked it like hell. Everyone liked it.

My sis helped. Her, being the mathematician was more precise than I am, maybe that's why it turned out well.

And below, is me, on my own.

I decided to only bake the brownie layer.

OH GOD THAT LOOKS GOOD.

Mom told me to put in the pumpkin seeds.

Bad move.

But it looked pretty nonetheless.

Sis helped smoothen them :) Mom too

Being the Math Hater I am...

I miscalculated the batch.

So it turned out to be thinner than I expected.

Freshly out of the oven!

Bitter Chocolate Pumpkin Brownie

Some people say it's good, some say meh.
But I think when you're sad, it lifts you up!!

I like the bitterness :)
