SkinFood and Essence Cosmetics Mini Haul

Hi guys :)
This is really an impulse buy (and I've really been good with my shopping I think), I was having a bad day, and well, it's been ages since I've gone out.

Like, really. Shopping, movies, etc. None, I haven't done any of that.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong...but I really don't think I've bought anything in a while.

Well, except for the Raya sale I think :T

Anyway, I actually went to the The Mall to receive my giveaway gift from the newly opened SkinFood branch...but when I arrived, they didn't have it.

I'm like, "Okay, I'll look around."

SkinFood kills me with their awesome packaging, it was very hard to resist sometimes.

Then...I saw this hand cream.
Apparently it's a bestseller too.

Just look at that cow.

Photo taken at The Mall's food court, believe it or not.

I couldn't resist.
Plus it smelled nice and feels nice on the hands too.

The SA also gave me a sample of the Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore Gift Set because I was actually inquiring about the products (the spot serum specifically). I guess I'll try it out once my EH sample toner runs out (oh wait, I did buy something recently from EH...skincare needs :x)

From Paloma, I just got the things I've been wanting plus the lipstick in 07 Natural Beauty.

They didn't have testers yet for some of the items so you really have to depend on the colour provided. Luckily for me, the colour is exactly what I imagined it to be.

( u_u ) if I wasn't feeling shitty, I might have had more self-control.

Just feeling off since Eid.

Sigh.

'til then, take care :D

Monthly Faves: April 2014

( '-' ) if any of you managed to read the post I did...I apologize.
I'm still not better, but I'm trying to force myself to feel better.

Let's forget about that and let's talk about my favourite products from last month :D

Wrong choice of background LOL

I have a lot of makeup products that I love, with some random things here and there.

1. LUSH "Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream"

- This was my mom's, but she wasn't using it, so I offered to take it from her. She bought it to use for her face though. I love the scent and I feel like it's very moisturising. I use it for my breasts because I feel like it's...uh, sagging a bit from me losing weight last year and I didn't realise it until now! I feel like with this cream and a proper bra, I think it lifted it a bit lol. Either way, the lovely smell lasts a long time! Pricy though x.x

2. Catrice "Evolution to Revolution Ultra Black Volume Mascara"

- I bought this because it was on sale (it's discontinued) and I quite like it! It's not waterproof, I haven't cried with it, but it lasts long enough before it kind of flakes. It has two wands for two looks: Look 1 is for natural volume and Look 2 is for dramatic volume. I prefer Look 1's wand :)

3. TheFaceShop "Faceit All About Gel Eyeliner"

- This was my sister's and she stopped using it so I took it from her. This gel liner is amazing. It doesn't smudge and it's just awesome! It's just a bit unpractical because she lost the brush and I keep forgetting where my liner brush went to lol.

4. Etude House "Aloha V-Line Slim Maker"

- I mostly use the contour side for my nose and the sides of my cheeks. It's a bit lighter than what I prefer but I've been liking it more, especially since I'm using the Real Techniques Contour Brush. It blends nicely and is build-able without looking muddy. The highlighter is pretty but I rarely use it.

5. Etude House "Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color"

- I've done a review on this here. I've been loving this for the cheeks and lips. It's just so flattering on my skintone, but I do need lipbalm because it's not moisturising.

6. Etude House "Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Balm"

- I wanna say holy grail but this is not in the permanent line I think ;-; I have oily-combination skin and this is still awesome on me. I would skip moisturiser and just go straight to this after toning my skin. I don't need a primer with this because the lasting power is good. The coverage is medium to full. The applicator is also what makes this product a winner, so I bought an extra one :)

7. Catrice "All Round Concealer"

- I've hit pan on two shades. The lightest shade does not suit me at all so I might mix it with something else. The product doesn't last that long but it's still handy to have around. It blends easily too.

8. essence "I  Stage Eyeshadow Base"

- Still my go-to primer. Full review here

9. Makeup Revolution "Iconic 3 Palette"

- Lovely shades that are suitable for everyday use. It blends nicely! It looks like I'm barely making a dent because I really don't need much to build up colour, especially for the darker shades. It's an everyday natural palette that I am reaching for all the time.

10. Etude House "Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss"

- I didn't look up the shade name but it's #10. It's just a lovely colour, the purple made me buy it. A review for other shades can be found here.

11. Dolly Wink "Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black"

- I found it hard to use this at first, but I do like it. It doesn't last on my lower lash line unfortunately, but it applies quite nice on the upper lash line. Quite pricy though.

12. Etude House "BB Cream Cotton Fit"

- Good oil control? Not really. However, it is medium to full coverage and I rarely need to apply concealer when I use this. Actually it's the same with the Glow Balm too. It blends nicely and W24 is a great shade match for me. Does not crease around my laugh lines (not as bad as other foundations/BB creams). It looks quite natural on me.

13. PlusWhite "5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel"

- It works gradually without hurting my teeth. It does make it sensitive, but just a little. I'm happy because it actually works, but I need to be diligent. I drink a lot of tea so this is a must.

14. SkinFood "Avocado Rich Eye Balm"

- It moisturises nicely without giving me milia seeds. A little goes a long way and it smells heavenly.

15. OraLabs "Chap Ice Cherry Lip Balm"

- I lost my Baby Lips so I turned to this. It's actually quite moisturising and I use it a lot. Easy to carry around too!

16. Travel Size Stippling Brush

- It's from the fake M.A.C Hello Kitty set. It's poor quality BUT it works so well with applying cream or powder blushes! I don't look like a clown for once :D

17. Real Techniques "Contour Brush"

- It's because of this brush that I am now contouring my cheeks again. It just does a terrific job at it and I can't be without it, I love it so much!

18. Real Techniques "Buffing Brush"

- My new best friend at buffing my foundation and BB Cream. It just does the job so beautifully.

PHEW.
That was longer than intended.

Do you like any of the products I faved?

If there are any products you'd like me to write a full review on, do leave a comment :)

'til then, take care!

Review: SkinFood Tomato Sun Cream SPF 36 PA++

Hi guys!
Have you checked out my latest Miri Haul? You can check it out here.

Anyway, today I have a review for you!
This is a review of SkinFood's Tomato Sun Cream with SPF 36 PA++.

Tomato Sun Cream SPF 36 PA++

PRODUCT INFORMATION
A sunscreen cream containing tomato extract rich in lycopene and various organic acids to protect skin from UV rays. It simultaneously blocks both UVA and UVB rays that cause premature aging of skin. * Use: 15-20 minutes before going outside, apply to exposed areas such as face, neck, arms and legs, avoiding eye areas. If outside for extended period of time, reapply as needed.
This sunscreen contains 50ml of product and comes in a convenient squeeze tube. It it made in Korea. There is another variant for this that has an added wrinkle care. You can buy this at SkinFood, I got mine at Miri. The price is RM39.50, I'm not sure about the price in Brunei.

The back of the sunscreen.
Unfortunately the ingredients are in Korean.
*LOST HALF OF THIS FUCKING BLOGPOST BECAUSE SOMEBODY JUST HAD TO RESET THE NET WITHOUT CONSULTING ME. MIGRAINE RIGHT NOW*

Let's try this again.

I've been using this since last year, on and off, since I got it. Recently though, I've started incorporating it into my makeup routine (especially when I don't need much coverage) with some concealer and translucent or tinted powder.

When I bought this initially, it was mainly to prevent my acne scars from darkening. I wasn't very dedicated to that because it really felt weird. But nowadays, I learn to appreciate this sunscreen more because it is not sticky at all!

As with most sunscreen, it is white, with a slight bluish tint.
It has a typical sunscreen scent with a hint of tomato, and to me, it's not really something offensive. Once blended well, it just leaves a slight white cast (more noticeable on the face than on the hand) and it moisturises a little (so don't make the mistake like me and mixing it with a non-SPF BB cream x.x) so that's kinda good. It leaves your skin soft.

After blending it out.
It also doesn't break me out, which is a huge plus! I'm not really brave enough to try other sunscreens in the mean time, so if I run out of this, I might get the same one! Unless you guys have suggestions on some products.

The price isn't something that motivates me to buy it I guess, if it's not on sale or something. For a sunscreen, I guess it's a bit pricy.

Overall though, it's a good product.

---

PROS:

-Locally available.
-Blends in easily and leaves a soft feeling.
-Smells pleasant.
-A little goes a long way and there's a lot of product.
-Convenient packaging.
-Does not clog pores.
-Does not break me out.

CONS:

-Can leave your skin very oily (but I guess that's normal?)
-Pricy.
-Not waterproof.
-Ingredients are in Korean.
-Might not mix with a foundation or a BB cream well.

Rating: 3.5/5 (I love it but it can be replaced, maybe)

Will I buy this again?

Maybe. I do like it enough to repurchase it, but I can easily try something cheaper.

Do I recommend this?

Yes, if you wanna try it out.

Where can you find this?

Locally at SkinFood stores.
You can also find it online I think.

---

Hopefully you found this helpful.

'til then, take care!

Products I've Been Loving! (Makeup)

Hi guys! I have so many products I've been using recently, sometimes I can't even remember!

I think I should do a separate one for skincare, but one product sneaked into this post LOL. I was taking a pic on Instagram and I noticed that it can't fit all my faves! I won't talk about the skincare product here I guess.

Anyway, here are the products:

Love these!
1. theBalm "Nude'tude Palette"

- I've been using this palette a lot recently! I've barely made a dent though, because you know what? A little goes a long way! My fave shades are Snobby, Selfish and Sexy!

2. essence "Stay Natural Concealer"

- This is a recent favourite. It's not super long lasting, but for a couple of hours, it's good. Affordable and it covers well, set it with a good powder and you're good to go (as in, increase the longevity.)

3. Cyber Colors "24H Eyebrow Pen"

- It's in '01 Gray', and applies so nicely. It lasts a long time (as the name suggests) and blends easily too. Sometimes I can accidentally overdo it, but since it's a bit waxy, you won't have that problem as much.

4. essence "I ♥ Stage Eyeshadow Base"

- My go-to primer nowadays. I love it a lot!. You can read the review here.

5. SkinFood "Tomato Sun Cream SPF36 PA++"

- My new best friend when I don't want to wear a foundation or BB cream. I don't know why but it just makes my face look a lot put together! I normally wear it at night when I go out XD I'm actually running out of it! It's not too heavy and blends so easily.

6. Rimmel London "Stay Matte Pressed Powder"

- In 'Transparent'. I didn't think this powder keeps me matte for 5 hours, but it really does a good job. Paired with my sunscreen, this is awesome! There's so much product too!

7. The Body Shop "Born Lippy Stick Lip Balm"

- I recently reviewed this. It's my go-to lip balm right now.

8. Revlon "Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick"

- Totally loving 'Mauve it Over' right now! Lovely MLBB lipstick that's not too pink, not too nude. It's just lovely! Doesn't dry me out. Review here.

9. Etude House "Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color"

- In 'Raspberry Mousse Cake'. I use this as a cream blush and it's just lovely. Easy to blend and the colour looks so natural! You can read my full thoughts here.

10. Etude House "Dr. Oil Solution Anti-Shine Mist"

- Recent favourite. Really helps keep the sebum at bay, especially when paired with an oily face product, like BB creams! Kinda sticky.

11. elianto "Cream Concealer (or something LOL)"

- In '03 Warm'. Perfect shade for my skin if I don't wear anything too light! I have a hard shade to match! My face is a lot pinker and darker than the rest of my body that's yellow based. It really does the trick when I don't want to wear a foundation. Just spot concealing and I'm good to go!

--

That's it for the makeup products I'm loving so far. I don't think the sunscreen counts as makeup, but I generally treat it as part of my makeup routine! So it's makeup to me~

I think if I was given a choice, I think I can survive with just these as my makeup products. No eyeliner? That's true. I don't generally use it unless I have a lot of time! With my thick rimmed glasses, you can barely see them anyway!

I will definitely do some in-depth reviews for some of the products! Anything you'd like to see first?

'til then, take care!

Review: SkinFood Almond Milk Rich Foot Cream

I've had this product for a while, and started using this again recently, because my feet's been quite dry.
So yeah, here's the review!

*If you have something against feet, here's a warning: My foot is in this!*

SkinFood Almond Milk Rich Foot Cream
Before I bought this cream, I was using The Body Shop's Body Butter in Macadamia. As much as I loved it, it was too oily and kinda expensive! So I decided to buy a proper cream for feet. I was actually looking for another product, which was the Peppermint Foot Cream but they only had this back then. I don't remember the price but it was definitely about RM30+, maybe about BND15 but I'm not sure. On the SkinFood Singapore site, the price is listed as $26! Wtf!

For me, it's a bit pricey for the amount of product you'd get. You only get 85ml in this product. They should have made it at least a 100ml, or even better, 150ml! I've read that the Peppermint Foot Cream contains 100ml of product~

Description of the Product~
This product promises to "deeply moisturise and nourish dry and rough feet", it's just what I need! It's rich in Vitamin E, which is a well known vitamin that is good for the skin. It helps with skin renewal, and is also good for combating wrinkles and also help fade scars and whatnot. This vitamin is suggested to be taken internally. However, there are many products that contain this, especially for the skin. There's actually Vitamin E Cream in the market, if you'd prefer it.

Ingredients List.
Moving on, let's talk about the product itself! The cream has a nice consistency, it's not too runny, yet not too thick. It's easy to spread, and sinks into the skin quite well. You can kinda see the consistency from the photos~

The cream on the back of my hand. Looks kinda runny, but it stays put.
You can see the consistency well here.
The product is not sticky at all, once spread on your foot, and you massage it in, it's all absorbed. It will leave a shiny residue, and will stay there for a while. I suggest wearing a sock overnight if you use this before you sleep!

It doesn't smell like almond or milk that much, it smells perfume-y. I can't really pinpoint the scent, but since it's to be used on my feet, I don't mind the smell as much. It's not bad, I just wished that it smells more like almond.

The 'Food' in SkinFood, y'know?

As for the packaging, it's a standard tube packaging. It's hygienic, it's simple and pretty. Straight to the point. It looks posh, there's a golden theme with it, lol. That's one reason I prefer it over the body butter, you don't have to scoop it out.

Simple, hygienic packaging.
As for the moisturising qualities of this product, it works. Is it rich? Yes, but not too overpowering, where it leaves your hands really sticky and oily after massaging your feet. In fact, I have calluses on my fingers from playing guitar, and my hand creams don't work at all, but this, it actually works!

But you can look at the results on my feet just immediately after applying it.

*FOOT PICS AHEAD*

Before applying the foot cream.
And then~

After applying the foot cream.
I didn't use soften on this image, but it might look a bit blurry due to my photo taking skills. However I can vouch that it does immediately sink in. Leaving a healthy glow. I also got some blood running from massaging the product in.

One small dollop is enough for one foot, unless your feet are very dry.
You also need to take into account that this does not prevent your feet from getting dry. You have to be consistent with application.

You can buy this product at your nearest SkinFood Outlet, or even online.
Prices range from USD7~USD13, depending on where you get it.

Here are the pros and cons of the product:

PROS:

-Locally available.
-Easily accessible online.
-Hygienic packaging.
-The cream has good consistency, easily spread onto skin.
-Moisturises well.
-Smells pleasant.
-Can be used on other parts of the body that is rough.

CONS:

-Quite pricey.
-Contains only 85ml of product.
-Does not prevent the foot from being dry, unless you use it a lot.

Will I buy this again?
Maybe. But there are many foot creams out there that are less pricey and work just as well, I'm sure.

Do I recommend it?
Yes.
I do recommend it, it does work, but it's not a miracle product. It moisturises your feet, just like many other creams. However, it does not really prevent dryness. The amount of product you get also does not justify the price. If you can get it under BND15, especially BND10, then it won't hurt to try.

Not a must-have item.

I'd love it if you guys can recommend a good foot cream :D

Rating: 3/5 (Price and amount of product lowered it for me)

Disclaimer: Remember, our skin differs. What works for me, might not work for you, and vice versa.

Until then, take care everyone!
I hope this review was helpful~

My December Giveaway!!

Since I noticed that a lot of people entered my previous giveaway, I decided to hold a flash giveaway! I don't think it's fair that only one person gets to win so I'm giving another chance for you all to win!

The prizes aren't as fancy as before but it's about the same value :)

All in all, 9 items (including the pouch). The lipstick shown here is mine, I'll get the prize one tomorrow
You will get all of the items listed on the widget and it will be put into the pouch you will also receive.

The rules are the same as before:

This giveaway is not sponsored. Below are the rules for this giveaway:

3) Winner will be chosen at random. Should the winner not contact me within 48 hours, he or she will forfeit it and a new winner will be selected, also at random.

4) Giveaway hunters would not be entertained. Unfollowing just as soon as the giveaway ends would result in getting blacklisted.

5) Once I reach a hundred followers, a new giveaway would be announced (This would be a huge one, believe me you :D)

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The only compulsory step this time is to:

- Leave a comment on what items you would prefer for future giveaways

If you want to earn extra entries, feel free to add more entries :D

I don't have swatches of the palette here but the ones I saw online are pretty :) This one is more colourful than the previous one. It has a golden yellow, orange and reddish tone that would look so beautiful as a sunset eyelook! And it also has neutral colours as well.

If you wanna take a look at the palette and swatch, kindly visit this site (I love this blog btw)

As for the lipstick, it's a nice buildable sheer nude that I am loving right now. It doesn't dry up the lips and is moisturizing. It has a slight fruity fragrance to it.

The two masks you will be receiving: a whitening and dead skin removing sheet mask and one is a charcoal pack which is good to deep cleanse your pores. I believe you can use it at least twice or three times, depending on how well you store it.

Okay, so that's it :D

If you're interested in winning these prizes, do join the giveaway!

I have a special giveaway for the New Year's! There will be 2 to 3 winners, depending on the situation! And yes, it WILL be international!

Unnecessary Drama (Haul)

Tonight I had the opportunity to go to The Mall after a long time of not going. My family aren't really fans of the place so yeah. Initially, I wanted to top-up my cash card so I could buy something from sasa.com BUT I decided not to (it was too late anyway, and I might end up having to get things I don't need +hypocrite moment here+) and the money went elsewhere.

It was raining heavily by the way, and the traffic. Gosh. Luckily dad didn't go all complaining and stuff. I sat at the backseat of the back. lol. I didn't have time to doll-up much, just simple makeup. Got to use my new makeup though :D so win~

We went to Hot Point first. I think it was the first time for my bro-in-law to go there. I might be wrong. I have bittersweet feelings about the place, but hey, the food is good so memories don't matter I guess. It was dad's treat!

This is what I had:

Pina Colada Smoothie
This was really good! I definitely recommend this BUT what's up with the absence of a real pineapple? Boring!! And my sis took the cherry because last time I took hers at Swensen's!

Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with Mushroom Sauce
My new favourite :D It's really good!! The caramelised onions, YUM. It's like having two sauces so yeah!

Photowonder-ed the photos because the place was dark! And my front camera sucks D:

Tried to show off my new contacts here.
I hate how the face looks shopped when it's not  LOL
With annoying sis.
What I'm wearing (that you unfortunately can't see):
Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, theBalm Batter Up Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in 'Base Hit Kit', theBalm ShadyLady in 'Mischievous Marissa', SkinFood Peach Sake BB Cream, TheFaceShop Perfect  Stick Concealer #2 and theBalm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder.

The translucent powder was a bit tricky to use. If anyone knows how to use it properly, do tell me. I don't this my brush picks up anything o.o or maybe it did. I don't know!!

After a nice dinner, I went hunting for Marina's 'Electra Heart' album again.
No such luck :(

I might have to order it online.

Honestly, I only went to Paloma to check if they had e.l.f's Mineral Lipstick in stock but they didn't. Might have been expensive anyway lol. I tried my sister's 'Fiery Fushia' and I liked the formula so yeah.

Instead...I saw that essence had a promotion. Or rather, I was just checking and then asked, THEN I found out about the promotion lol.

So yeah, I decided to take advantage of the promotion. It was buy essence cosmetics worth BND30 and you can get a free small brush set. To be honest, the brush set is no big deal but it's tiny enough to bring around :)

essence haul~
I looked up online to see how much the price is marked up here. Some are reasonably priced, some are well, meh. Especially the cream shadows.

I would have gotten more but I decided to limit myself to what....is limited. I do...plan on getting a bronzer in the future. Future might be soon though lol.

Anyway, here's the breakdown:

This is in 'Coppy Right'
This is in 'It's Magic'
If these don't crease on me when I wear it alone like theBalm, it's like ooh-la-la for me. But I think it will, we'll see :) It's Magic seems like a nice dupe for 'Base Hit Kit'. At first glance.

Do I really need another concealer? Not really. However, this is more compact than my 20 colour concealer :) so if it works just the same, what's there to lose?

An eyeshadow base.
4ml? Really? It looks like it carries more product than my 5ml e.l.f eyeshadow primer though.
Again, do I need another eyeshadow base? Not really.
But again, can't hurt to try! But I won't be using this anytime soon.

Super creamy eyeliners!
These glide on oh-so-smoothly for the price. I don't think it's smudge-proof BUT I think it might be great for tightlining the lower an upper lashlines.

And this is where the drama was caused.

Apparently, the saleslady forgot to put in the white eyeliner. I only checked when I was in the car because everyone said they wanted to go home soon. I also didn't think of checking at first because I didn't want to waste time either.

It was while in the car (while at the parking lot, thank goodness) that I noticed I'm missing one item. I told my family. I re-checked it to be sure.

That's when they all started blaming me.
Like...

"Why didn't you check earlier? You're so clumsy! This is such a waste of time, etc."

When my dad asked me to check again, I actually shouted at him that I did.

The bad thing is, also, I was at the back, back seat. So I asked my sisters if they'd go fetch it.
But nooooo, they're like "They won't believe us, they'd only recognize you, blablabla."

WELL, HELLOOOOOO.

That's what receipts are for!! D:
I worked in a shop once, receipts are there for a reason. Receipt copies are there for a reason.

I was wearing my wedges too so moving fast is a bit hard.

I actually screamed at my mom when she told me to bring the whole plastic bag. That caused my lipstick to drop onto the road.

Thankfully, it didn't break.

So yeah, I rushed upstairs, pretty sure everyone was side-stepping me because I looked furious and well, unfriendly.

I have anger issues. Definitely.
I think I should take a management class?

Should ask my psychiatrist about that.

Did I act unreasonably? Yes.
But they also PROVOKED me. My sisters especially.

Was it my fault? No. It was the saleslady.
They all apologized. So that's okay.

If they had my number I guess probably, they would have texted.
So yeah, I'm gonna apply for a membership next time. I guess.
I dunno.

It wouldn't hurt.

Do I feel bad for acting like that?
Yes, I do.

But I only mentioned my displeasure to my dad.

That it was unfair they all ganged up on me.

I feel bad, okay. I do.
Especially since then I realized my bro-in-law was still recovering from his surgery.

But honestly though, I think my sisters just hate me.

For whatever reason.

'In The Nude'. Thankfully it didn't break, considering it's made of plastic.
Free brush set.
The brush set is cute, but that's about it.

It was an incentive to try out new makeup I guess.

I would definitely try out the other cosmetics they have. Probably ask my friend to get them for me in the US for slightly cheaper XD

So yeah, that was last night.

Sigh.

I was a lot happier these days too :(
It's not fair.

It's really not fair.

But I'm sure I'll get my happiness again.
In one way or another.

Goodnight then :D

Take care, everyone!

P.S: Join my giveaway :D It's nothing much, but the more, the merrier!!

This always happens btw. Swatch-erific!

My 100th Post Giveaway!

Hey everyone :D

It is 4 in the morning right now as I'm typing this, and boy, am I sleepy!
But it's okay because I'm so excited to finally announce my first ever giveaway on my blog!

To be honest, I really wanted to upload my Miri Haul from yesterday but then it's the 100th post! I can't delay posting this giveaway! I'm so excited and so scared at the same time because I don't know how this works!

I'm going to use a widget to make this easier for me! If you're familiar with Rafflecopter, maybe you can do this well.

You see, this giveaway isn't much to be honest. I've collected things around, making sure I like it before I included it. As this is a tester kind of giveaway, I didn't want to giveaway something very extravagant just yet. I love sharing though :) and picking gifts, making sure it's thoughtful.

If I had the extra money, I would have included more things but I guess for now this is fine. If you've read my post before, then you should know I've taken leave from university and am currently trying to get my health in check. This 30th, I'll finally have my colonoscopy and endoscopy. Not really looking forward to it but it's the only way to know what's really wrong!

Anyway, what I really had in mind for my first giveaway were things I really love, but then I decided that I'll keep that for future giveaways :)

So here are the (very modest) prizes:

100th Post Giveaway Prizes
Here are the prizes!
Plus some samples!
Here are the closeups of the bag and some swatches (minus the eyeliner because I won't swatch them)

This is the case:

Adorable isn't it?

This is what the palette and lipstick look like (these are mine, of course):

L.A Colors in Cafe Au Lait
Baviphat Barbie Pet Magic Girls Lipstick in No.8 (forgot the name)
Here are the swatches from the palette (without a primer) and the lipstick:

Under room light. The far right one is of the lipstick.
This is with the flash from my phone.

The pigmentation of the palette is very good surprisingly. The only shade I don't like is the white one but other than that, it's a good neutral palette :) It's compact and you can easily do touch ups. The sponge tip applicator is very rough by the way. Very different from the Asian sponge tips, which are softer.

As for the hand cream, I find it necessary to have hand cream everywhere you go! I can't live without hand creams when I go out. I'd feel weird! The hair velcro is cute and fashionable and would help keep your stray hair away from the face when you apply makeup!

Okay, now the thing with the eyeliners...

Blue World :O
These are actually from the set my sister got me. However, I did not use it as I also bought something similar. I can't really say much about them except I know that the black one that I do use, is very pigmented. Blue isn't really my thing for eye makeup either, so maybe you can rock it better?

So, I think that's about it for the giveaway!
I do hope people join it (I know it's not much, but it's a start). This giveaway is in no way sponsored (except partially by my parents I guess)

Do share this giveaway if you want :) If I can get to fifty followers, I can start planning for my hundred followers giveaway :D

Make sure you follow all the rules :) it's not that hard.

EDIT: It's brought to my attention that not a lot of people can see the Terms and Conditions on Rafflecopter, so here are the rules:

This giveaway is not sponsored. Below are the rules for this giveaway:

1) It is open internationally.

2) Participants must have permission to share their address as I need it to send the prizes (for international entries and participants not from Brunei Muara, unless we can meet up at Bandar).

3) Winner will be chosen at random. Should the winner not contact me within 48 hours, he or she will forfeit it and a new winner will be selected, also at random.

4) Giveaway hunters would not be entertained. Unfollowing just as soon as the giveaway ends would result in getting blacklisted.

5) Once I reach a hundred followers, a new giveaway would be announced.

My Twitter sucks so I'm not gonna force you to follow that but I'm on Instagram quite a lot so you can see my mini hauls on there easily. Who knows if you can get hints for future giveaways there!

Below is the widget for the Rafflecopter :D

Just in case you don't know, I'll list the compulsory steps:

1) Follow my blog via Google Friend Connect (There's an error in joining this right now, I don't know why but please still try follow the rules once it's fixed? Thank you)

Yes, I joined just to see how it works LOL.

2) Leave a comment on this post
3) Like my music fanpage (NiSA)

Once you've done that, you can earn more entries by following the rest of the steps :) They are not compulsory but it increases your chances of winning that way.

Following my blog must be PUBLICLY.
Leaving a comment is a must.

P.S: I'll be posting my Miri Haul later, just in case my appointment decides to keep me at the hospital!

Love/Hate Products: August

OMG.
It has been SO LONG since I blogged.
I mean, properly.

First thing's first: SELAMAT HARI RAYA, MAAF ZAHIR & BATIN!!

I actually have a lot of mini hauls I did, ordered things from SaSa, from abroad...but things happened and I'm just not into it.

But I do have a collection of what I'm loving and maybe two products that is subpar from the rest.
Most of them are loves though :) which is really good.

Don't you think so?

I'm supposed to be sleeping since I have an early morning. Kinda.
I have a meeting later at university and I hope I can wake up early.

Anyway, moving on, let's talk about these products!

Skinz UV White Perfect White BB Cream
theBalm Time Balm Face Primer
SkinFood Vita Juice Hand Essence
Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer in shade 2
TheFaceShop Herb Day Cleansing Wipes
L'Oreal Anti-Frizz Serum

St.Ives Intensive Healing, Skin Renewing Body Lotions
L.A Colors Cafe Au Lait Palette
Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner in (I'm NOT sure lol)
next Paradise (perfume)
Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry
SilkyGirl Pure Fresh Oil-Control Pressed Powder SPF 20
Skinz UV White Perfect White BB Cream (Love)

This was something I bought on a whim. I saw its adverts on CLEO so I was interested, but I never thought of getting it that soon. I was just walking around a supermarket when the saleslady just recommended it. She was offering 2 for a big discount but I only wanted one. I still got discount for it though. To be honest, I wasn't looking forward to it at first because when she swatched it on my hand, it was pinkish white. However, on my face, it just blends after a few minutes. It has been my go-to BB Cream for a few weeks, so I have little left. It's about the same amount as my Peach Sake BB Cream. Will definitely do a full review on this one!

theBalm Time Balm Face Primer (Love/Hate)

This is the first love/hate product I have in this list. Why? Because at first it didn't work for me. It broke me out, it aggravated my acne BUT I decided to give it another chance because my acne's getting better and I've doubled my effort to cleanse my skin thoroughly every night. Sometimes it provides the best oil control but sometimes it doesn't. Weird, right? I hate the fact that it's expensive and lasts only 6 months. I also love the scent. I MIGHT do a full review on this.

SkinFood Vita Juice Hand Essence (Love)

I hated myself for even considering buying this but then I got this for redeeming my card. I didn't regret it. This is my third hand cream (I've tried two and I hated the smell and it was so sticky) and I'm loving it. It's lightweight, it absorbs fast and it smells fresh. Citrusy but not overpowering. It does soften my hand but sometimes it's not enough. But points go to the fact that the scent and texture is nice.

Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer (Love?/Hate)

This...I dunno. I kinda hate it more that I love it. I got this because my favourite SkinFood Rice Concealer smudges when I cry and the saleslady said this was waterproof. Is it? I'm not sure yet. I don't think so. Comparing my favourite concealer with this, the former provides more buildable coverage and blends easily. This, however, dries so fast on the face before I even manage to blend it. I do like it for my undereyes. I'm still trying to work this out. So far, not impressed.

TheFaceShop Herb Day Cleansing Wipes (Love)

Oh God. This has made my makeup cleaning routine much easier than before. More thorough. Depending on how thick my makeup is, sometimes I only need this to clean my face but somehow with eye makeup, I need my eyemakeup remover still. But I love this. Too bad there's only 20 wipes in it. What I do is cut them into two or three and use it based on how much makeup is on my face. It's not that expensive though.

L'Oreal Anti-Frizz Serum (Love/Hate)

I love this, especially the scent. It works well with my hair but I have such thick hair, I need to use a lot.  It works fine for a few hours but then it loses its powers soon after lol. My hair then gets affected by the surroundings that it gets very rough D: but for the scent itself, I love it to bits.

St.Ives Intense Healing, Skin Renewing Body Lotion (Love?)

Again, this is another product I love for the scent. Both somehow smells the same. Texture-wise, it's also the same. Effect? I'm not sure yet but I love to use them on my arms. It's very lightweight and absorbs fast. It's also cheap. Ish. Would I buy the full size? Maybe. This is a pleasant product to use.

L.A Colors Cafe Au Lait Palette (Love)

I got this because I'm gonna use it for my first giveaway :D I mean, I can't give it out without knowing how good it is. Is it good? Yeah. For its price, very. The only complaint I have is the frosty white shadow. It's very frosty I rarely use it. It's very soft. Is it buttery? Kinda. Comparing it to some Korean brands, this wins hands down. It has enough pigment for its price. Plus it's small and compact.

Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner (Love)

Liplining? Not really. I use it as a matte lip shade :) and it works so well and it's so pretty with my skintone. It's very neon-like when you first use it but then once you blend it out, so beautiful. I sometimes use a clear gloss over it and it works so beautifully. Plus you can barely feel anything on your lips since it's not lipstick. I'd definitely try out the other shades!

next Paradise Perfume (Love)

I'm running out of this and I love it. I dunno where I can get this since it used to belong to my older sister. I love it. I just love it. It smells nice, not so offensive (since I'm very sensitive to scents) and it works. Best of all, I'm not allergic to it. I'm still on the hunt for a perfect perfume for me but this passes for now. Plus, it's running out ): I take this everywhere with me, since the size it so compact.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry (Love)

I'm running out of this balm, but I have a backup in the form of another Cherry flavour. I love anything cherry flavoured and this is wonderful. Granted, it all started because on my first date with my ex, we were eating ice cream and he gave me his cherry. LOLFRUITMINDYOU. It was a nice experience and it's funny too. Anyway, this works so well, I use it at night, everywhere I go I bring this, and it's less oily than my Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cherry. Lovely balm. Will definitely repurchase.

SilkyGirl Pure Fresh Oil-Control Pressed Powder SPF 20 (Hate)

This thing, I really regret getting. I thought I'd get a new pressed powder that actually helps control oil. This, does not. It does not. I get oily in just less than an hour. What is up with that. I still prefer the other SilkyGirl powder. But I'd still use this and see if I can make it work like what I did with the face primer.

---

Okay, so that's it for now. It's already so late and I don't know why I decided to write this late.
I just felt like it.

I got a new laptop now :)

A Macbook Pro. Do I like it? So far, it's okay.

I really like the trackpad.

So far.

LOL.

Okay then.

Goodnight, sweet people.

Take care.
