Review: Holika Holika I Want Chu♥ Lip Balm

Hiya :D I'm back with another review!
This might be short and sweet (at least I hope so).

I'll be reviewing Holika Holika's 'I Want Chu Lip Balm' in '04 Cherry Coke Kiss'!

'I Want Chu Lip Balm'
in '04 Cherry Coke Kiss'
PRODUCT INFORMATION

This product contains 2 lip balms with two complementary flavours and taste, each containing 3.7g of product. There are 4 flavour combinations available overall (only 2 are available in Brunei: 02 Milky Soda Smoothie and this one). The product is made in Korea. The price of it in Brunei is BND23.90.

Taken from eBay
I got interested in the product because I saw this review on Youtube, on the Kisstixx, and I got so interested in it LOL. When I saw this, I was immediately curious! The price put me off a bit, but curiosity got the best of me. I got it with a 20% discount, I still don't think it's worth it though, you'll find out why.

Ohay instructions.
I had to debate with my friend which one to get. I wanted the 02 Milky Soda Smoothie but he thought it sounded disgusting, so I had to get the 04 Cherry Coke one. It smelled nicer, that's for sure. If they brought in ALL the flavours, I'd choose 01 Strawberry Smoothie Kiss though!

Cute packaging!!
I don't have a partner to kiss, so this is what I did:

Put one flavour on lower lip, and the other on the upper lip.

What I immediately noticed is that the Cherry one has a nice pink tint. The Cola one is clear, and I kinda get why. I don't think guys would love to have tinted lips! Still, the Cherry having a pink tint...won't it transfer to the guy's lips? LOL.

The Kisstixx video showed the couple just pecking.

Amount of product you get, well from a slanted view.
It's a lot taller.
When I kinda put my lips together, the taste didn't register at first but then it came. It was okay then it got bitter.

I tried them on their own: Cola is the bitter one.

Cherry is very nice and sweet.

My conclusion is that: I'm pretty sure the Kisstixx would be a lot better, and I kinda wasted my money on these. At least for half of it.

---

PROS

- Fun idea if you're a couple or married.
- The Cherry lip balm tastes so nice!
- Packaging is so cute!
- Good amount of product.

CONS

- Cola lip balm is bittersweet. More bitter actually.
- SO PRICY (at least in Brunei)
- I don't know what to do with the Cola lip balm.
- Not so moisturising for the price.

Rating: 3/5 (I can live without the Cola)

Will I buy this again?

Maybe, in another flavour. Online. Or I'd just order the Kisstixx, and get a husband. Paying BND8-9 for one lipbalm is too much!

Do I recommend this?

EHHH. not for the price locally. If you're curious, why not?

Where can you buy this?

You can find it on eBay and locally, but again, they only have two flavour combinations here.

---

Well, to be fair I only tried this on my lips.
Maybe that's not fair?

But seriously, I don't get why it must be bitter! I did try Dr Pepper the other day, and it doesn't taste bitter!

I think I'll use the Cola lip balm when I'm really, really desperate.

'til then, take care!

Spotted: Revlon Colorburst Matte and Laquer Balms in Brunei~

Saw them the other day at Guardian.

Picture from Revlon Malaysia FB
There's only six colours from the Matte, but I didn't count the Laquer ones LOL.
I wasn't that interested in the Laquer ones to be quite honest.

They cost BND19.90, no discounts yet.
It costs RM35.90 in Malaysia though.

I'm not sure what I'd get if I were to try them, I'm not using too much colour on my lips now x.x

I've been using lipglosses and balms only when I go out.

The texture was nice when I swatched them.

HM, maybe in the future, but not now :)

Are you guys gonna pick them up?

'til then, take care!

Spotted: Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm

Well, not in Brunei, but Miri.

My friend bought them and I'm jealous.
She said they cost RM30 after discount.

If I'm not mistaken, the normal balms are RM33 normally.

From my friend's IG.
I was chatting with her that wanting to buy this would break my six months no-makeup ban lol.
Unless it's a present.

HINT HINT HINT.

I wouldn't know what colour to get though.
Maybe a berry pink colour.

I have a lot of reds and nudes.

I wonder if the Laquer Balms are available too...
Are you guys gonna buy the balms?

You know what I want though?

The Maybelline Baby Pore Primer.

Y U NO AVAILABLE IN MALAYSIA OR BRUNEI???

Do I really have to order it?

Damn.

Anyway, do you guys know any good primer for oily faces?

I really need one!

'til then, take care!

Review: BRILLIANT Love Heart Lip Care 3 Step System

Hi guys :D
WishTrend kindly sent me these products to try out and review :)
It's my first time reviewing a product sent to me, but worry not, I'll be honest with it.

Moving on~

Here are a few questions:

Are your lips severely chapped?
Are they so dry, it bleeds?
Have you ever wondered about ways on how to exfoliate lips in a less painful way?

Maybe this system will interest you!

These are the [BRILLIANT] Love Heart Lip Care 3 Step System Set.
This set costs USD29 on the website.

Brilliant Love Heart Lip Care 3 Step System.

"Are you ready to kiss?"

This is a 3-Step System aimed to exfoliate your lips and make your lips kissable!

1 Step: Dead Cell Remover (10g)
- Low irritation, dead lip cell remover

2 Step: Lip Gel Patch (5 Each)
- 100% essence, moisturising

3 Step: Lip Tint & Essence (10g)
- High moisture, energising lip essence

---
This will be my take on the product.

For a disclaimer, I don't normally have chapped lips because I always use lip balm before I sleep.
During this rainy season though (especially back in December) my lips seem to have problems getting hydrated enough.

When this product arrived though, my lips weren't as severely chapped so...I had to sacrifice them for the sake of testing it out! It wasn't hard though, just on the second day of not using any balm, my lips bled and flaked. I did not exfoliate them at all. To be fair though, I lost my lip balm x.x

(I did not photoshop the lips at all. I photoshopped my skin though because I feel self-conscious LOL. Any blurriness is proof of my lack in photography skill)

My chapped lips (it bled the day before I tried)

Then, I tested it.

The product page actually shows you how to exfoliate your lips with this product if you're curious (complete with pictures)

I followed the instructions exactly but I'll add my take on it.

How to use :

[BRILLIANT] Love Heart Lip Care 3 Step System

1-Step (How to exfoliate lips): After washing face, apply an adequate amount of 1-step on lips and rub it for 1-2 minutes and wipe off with a wet tissue or a wet towel.

1-Step: Lip Mask

This lip mask is a slightly gritty cream that you are supposed to massage onto your chapped lips. It's thick, but actually quite easy to spread, so you won't have a problem with it. A small amount (like shown in the picture) is enough for your upper and lower lips (unless you have severely chapped ones, this is enough).

How the cream looks like.

I used a wet cotton pad (I used this so I know the product works because I usually exfoliate with a wet towel) to gently wipe it away after 1-3 minutes . It removed most of the flakiness except for the more damaged parts. Definitely looks a lot smoother, however, it could also be the wet pad.

After spreading and rubbing it.

As I was testing it out, I noticed that my lips felt a bit tingly, but didn't make me feel uncomfortable.

After using the lip mask.

For more effectiveness, I would suggest to let it sit for 2-3 more minutes after you rub it, I'm pretty sure this would work a lot better. Unless it started to feel uncomfortable, then follow the suggested way. Since this is meant to gently exfoliate (not abrasive), you need to let the chemicals work.

You can achieve the same effect with a wet towel after you shower, but if your lips are severely chapped, this is a gentle way to exfoliate them.

2-Step: Take the gel patch out and take off the film. Put the gel patch over the lips and leave it for 15-20 minutes. After then, tap your lips so they absorb the extra essence.

2-Step: Lip Gel Patch

To be honest, wasn't looking forward to this because I have seen some other gel lip masks just falling off and not sticking. But this is love! It smells so wonderful (like cherries?) and adheres to skin so well, even when I was wearing foundation!!

With the lip gel patch.

It keeps my lips feeling cool and doesn't get in the way. I can't speak at all because it adheres so well, but it is definitely user friendly. I love the sensation. It is thin, not too thick, so it attaches well to the skin. For 15-20 minutes, I didn't even feel it on my lips while I was doing some work on my laptop.

After 20 minutes of the lip gel patch.

You can see that the it did kind of plump up my lips with moisture, it's not that noticeable in the picture but my lips felt very soft and moisturised. I really liked how it felt.

The gel patch is really not difficult to use, you'll be able to use it easily.

3-Step: Apply adequate amount on lips. 3-4 minutes later, colour of lips will be pink.

3-Step: Lip Essence
The last step is basically applying lip balm. The difference is that it also tints your lips to make it look healthier without being overtly pink. It is to smooth and moist the lips.

How the essence looks like.

I applied it like how I would normally with lip balms, just smoothing it over my lips.

It is a light pink essence that feels watery to the touch once it's on the lips. Feels a bit vaseline-y but definitely not the same A little goes a long way. It smells nice, just like the lip gel patch. Gives a nice tint and smoothes the lips.

After applying essence.

Unfortunately you can feel that it's on your lips. Not the most moisturising lip product ever but it's to heal the lips.

The essence gives my lips a very natural tint, also smoothing them out.
Not really fond of the feel but it does moisturise.

---

The selling point of this 3 step system is how it would help people with very sensitive lips.
Because its purpose is to heal damaged lips in a gentle way, it is thought out quite well.

The scent added to the products aren't very strong either and it smells really good.
Reminds me of another product's scent.

Like raspberries/strawberries/cherries.

I personally think this is a good product, especially for those with severely chapped lips.

I do feel like the gel patch should be sold separately because the amount of product you get for the other two would last more than 5 gel patches!

Unfortunately, I found out that the patches on their own ARE kinda pricy.

Here's a breakdown of the product prices when not in a set:

1-Step (Dead Cell Remover): USD13.50
2-Step (Lip Gel Patch): USD15
3-Step (Lip Tint & Essence): USD13.50

It's USD15!!
I would rather buy another set I think.

You save USD13 by buying the set.

But you see, you can always use the lip gel patch sparingly, just when your lips are chapped enough that you're bleeding. I think 1-Step and 3-Step is enough for daily use (well, every three days maybe).

If you just want to try out one product, I'd recommend getting the Lip Gel Patch, definitely.
The Dead Cell Remover is also good, if you have extremely sensitive lips, try it out.

You can skip the Lip Tint & Essence I believe.

It's definitely a product worth trying out, especially if you've run out of ways to hydrate your lips.

The product is...

I rate it 4/5!

I'd love to try this product out on my friend who has chapped lips all the time and see if it works on him. If it does, I'll report back!

Review: The Body Shop Born Lippy Stick Lip Balm in Pink Berry

When I first got this lip balm, I was like: What's a pink berry?

I googled and I got this:

Photo from Google Images
It's basically a new kind of blueberry! It didn't click to me immediately when I googled them though. Another kind of pink berry is Pinkberry, a yogurt chain lol.

My first encounter with this fruit is in the form of The Body Shop's Born Lippy Stick Lip Balm in 'Pink Berry'! I received this lip balm from my brother's girlfriend. Isn't she sweet?

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Our cult lip balm in a stick format. Gives lips a pop of colour, a shot of moisture and a soft shine.
  • Light pink tint
  • Subtle shine
  • Fruity berry flavour
This lip balm contains 5g of product and it is made in UK. There are 6 varieties available overall, and each of them are housed in cute plastic packaging with cartoony lips! I don't really know the price, so I'm sorry about that! EDIT: Thanks to Liza for informing me, the price is BND8.90.

Born Lippy in 'Pink Berry'
Growing up, my mom used to give me and my sisters (even my brother sometimes) those tub lip balms from TBS and I'm a huge fan of the cherry....? Or was it strawberry. My mom got me watermelon once and I wasn't a fan of it. But I found the use of my fingers to apply product kind of annoying and unhygienic.

When TBS came up with this, I wasn't sold on it. To be completely honest, it took me a while to warm up to this lip balm. The first layer was kind of hard so it takes a while for me to go "Oh, I like this."

I've been using it non-stop for about a month or so, and I'm left with this much:

Oooh, nearly hit "pan"
I don't think it moisturises awesomely, but it works well. It kind of leaves a film on your lips, so it protects and slightly hydrates (to me) but it doesn't dry them out.

I don't think it has a taste, it has a pleasant smell at least. Nothing that makes me gag.

As for the tint, Pink Berry makes me look pale LOL.
Like a frosty sheen on my lips.

I mainly use it when I'm on my laptop, so I reach for it a lot.

---

PROS:

-Locally available.
-Has 5 other flavours.
-Travel-friendly.
-Slightly more hygienic since it's in stick form (compared to the original)
-Hydrating enough for a lip balm.
-Gives a tint.
-Cute packaging.

CONS:

-I assume it's pricey for a lip balm (TBS standards)
-Rather than give moisture, it protects instead.
-I wished there was more product.

Rating: 3.5/5 (It's passable)

Will I buy this again?

I wanna try the Toffee flavour, although I think I can find a cheaper lip balm with the same flavour!

Do I recommend this?

I won't say no. It has cute packaging :D

Where can you find this?

At The Body Shop!

---

Kinda happy that this is less rambly than usual XD

I'm kinda tired.

Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick

Hi guys, sorry I haven't kept my promises of reviews ( >_<; )
But here I am today with a review of Revlon's Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick!

Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipsticks.
I have them in the shades 002 Pink Pout, 003 Mauve it Over and 006 Really Red.
To be honest though, 'Mauve it Over' and 'Really Red' belongs to my older sister. She's the one who was like, "Here, go ahead and review them!" and I was like "Okay."

When I looked up the number of shades, I was kind of confused.
But first thing's first:

Notice anything weird in the first pic?
Can you see it?

The middle label is different than the other two.
Really Red was made in 2011 and the other two were from 2010.

HM.
I don't think it matters much.

Anyway, for the shades, I counted there to be 9 shades on the Revlon website.
But it seems like originally it had 11 shades.

Do inform me in the comments if you know anything about it.

I like how the shade names are clear here.
The packaging itself also has a clear top so you can look at it.
These stickers aren't true to life though, as they can fade with time.
These lipsticks contain 4.2g of product, and are about BND16+ at your local Guardian stores.
I don't think all shades are available locally though, because 'Nude Attitude' is missing.
I've never actually seen it. Ever.

Gorgeous Shades!
From left to right: Pink Pout, Mauve it Over, Really Red.
Anyway, what do I think of these lippies?

...I actually quite like them.

For drugstore quality, you can't go wrong with Revlon.
They have beautiful packaging, almost similar to some higher end ones and they don't look cheap.

On the lips, I don't find them drying.
Shade 003 and 006 both don't accentuate the lines and don't settle in them either, which is a huge plus.
Unfortunately, 002 kind of does. Just a little.

Before I wear these matte lipsticks though, I always condition them and make sure I don't have chapped lips. These do not hydrate, so definitely use them with a balm or top it with lipgloss (although that defeats the purpose of matte lipsticks!)

Pink Pout applies slightly patchy but it's nothing slight blending won't fix. The colour is also a bit too 'cool' on me and it's not flattering. I usually try to add another colour to make it work.

Really Red is tricky to apply, as with all red lipsticks. This colour makes my teeth look bright!

- I found Mauve it Over to be the easiest one to work with in both application and colour. It glides on well and it looks beautiful. It's like a 'my lips but better' on me. Nothing too nude.

PROS:

- Locally available.
- Has a range of colours for all skintones.
- The colours apply true to colour.
- Applies quite well, no noticeable tugging.
- Not drying.
- No crayon scent (YAY!)
- Simple, classy packaging.
- Contains more product than some high-end lipsticks.

CONS:

- Works best on exfoliated and conditioned lips.
- Some colours apply patchily.
- It's pricier compared to the US. It doesn't fall under affordable.
- Not all shades are available locally.
- Not transfer resistant.

Rating: 5/5 (Definitely one of the best matte drugstore lipsticks out there. Well, I haven't tried Maybelline's though!)

Will I buy this again?

YES! I would definitely buy Mauve it Over for myself! I am also eyeing Smoked Peach.

Do I recommend this?

If you like matte finishes, do try it out :D

Where can you buy this?

At Guardian Pharmacy, and maybe Winmark? I don't remember if they carry Revlon or some other brand. Definitely get it during a sale though ;)

Hope you find this review helpful!

Do leave a comment if you've tried this before!

'til then, take care!

Review: Etude House Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss

Hi guys :D
Today I have a quick review of my favourite lip glosses at the moment:
They are the Etude House Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss.

I have them in the shades #11 Chai Tea Latte and #12 Strawberry Banana Latte.
It comes in 16 shades and contains 5g of product.

Top: #11 Chai Tea Latte
Bottom: #12 Strawberry Banana Latte
These lip glosses I believe are discontinued now, but can be found locally still at Etude House. I think they still sell these, but I didn't really pay attention if they did or not. If I'm not mistaken, I got these on a clearance, so it's BND5.90 each. I don't know the real price though.

I'm not much of a lip gloss junkie, but I do use them from time to time. I only have FIVE lip glosses. Can you believe that?

Well, I think so anyway.

What I find unique about this lip gloss is the applicator.

You can't see it well but you can at least see the texture no?
Just like what the name suggests, it's a rolling applicator! Rolling? What?

Let's zoom in.
When you apply this on your lips, it will roll on it. Actually, it rotates LOL. I find this convenient and also kind of a disadvantage too. I find the concept cute.

I think the idea is for you to be able to apply it evenly on your lips by just moving it lightly which is kinda fun, but I find that it can get over your natural lip line quite easily due to its shape. I think those with small lips might find this hard to work with.

Both colours swatch quite opaque actually. It's not a lip stick in a lip gloss form, but it's pigmented enough that you can wear it on its own. Well, maybe not the Chai Latte (it's more nude-ish), but I can wear Strawberry Banana Latte as it is.

Chai Latte has golden shimmers in it and works well with any lip colour.
The product has a light strawberry scent to me, and I swear I can smell banana in shade #12!!
It's not unpleasant, and I quite enjoy it actually.

As for the texture....it's sticky. I thought it was horrible sticky until quite recently.
I have found a more stickier, almost glue-like gloss.

I mean it.

I don't mind the sticky texture, it's not like I'm gonna kiss anyone, you know. If I have these on my lips, I might not want to kiss someone's cheeks or hands. The swatches on my hand was actually quite tricky to remove. It's not impossible but it just won't wash with just plain water.

It's not the most moisturising, but it doesn't really accentuate the dryness of chapped lips. The stickiness actually coats your lips, kinda protecting it.

PROS:

- Has a variety of colours.
- I bought it quite cheap (on clearance).
- Colour can be made more opaque, or sheered out if you prefer.
- Glides on well.
- Fun and convenient applicator.
- Not drying (is there a drying gloss??)
- Smells nice.

CONS:

- Quite sticky.
- Leaves an oily film after you wipe it away.
- Smell might bother some people.
- Uneven application.
- The applicator might not be user friendly for people with small lips.
- Pastel colours will settle into the lip creases.

Rating: 3.5/5 (A nifty product to have in your collection, I wished Chai Latte had more colour to it. Strawberry Banana Latte is perfect. Not kiss friendly LOL)

Will I buy this again?

I barely made a dent in them, so no. Plus I doubt they'd still have it on sale by the time I'm done with them. It's a maybe.

Do I recommend this?

If you can find it on sale, or clearance, I don't see why not. It's a fun gloss!

Where can you buy this?

Etude House or online. If they still carry it.

---

I hope this review was somewhat helpful, although I doubt it lol.

Are there any lip glosses you know of that shares the same roll-roll applicator? If you do, do share!

'til then, take care!

I'm very sleepy.

Review: Etude House Miss Tangerine VIP Girl Dear Darling Lips

I'm going to quickly review this lovely lip product :D
This is from last year's Summer line from Etude House, it's called the Miss Tangerine VIP Girl Dear Darling Lips in shade OR205.

Miss Tangerine VIP Girl Dear Darling Lips
I bought this on clearance sale this year lol. It cost me BND5.90 (I think that's the price)
It's still a good product I guess. It contains 4g of product.

At first I wanted another lipstick but someone bought the last one before I did >_>;
So I got this instead. There were two shades on display, I liked this one better.

If I'm not mistaken, TheFaceShop also released a shades of orange line last year.
So I guess this colour was the "In" colour of last year?

Product Info
I thought it would look horrid against my dark skin tone but it did not!
It was quite subtle on the lips, there's no scent lingering when applied, nor did it have a bad taste.
The product smells faintly of oranges, or rather, tangerines :D

It smells very fragrant and pleasant.

Tangerines (Credits to Google Images)
The product's packaging is cute, but kinda childishly tacky!
It reminds me of kiddy lipstick.

Something like Barbie.
I'm not sure if it'll appeal to everyone.

Cute but childish packaging!
It's a very secure and sturdy tube. When closed, it clicks shut which is very good if you're to bring this around.

Shade OR205
As a lipstick, it's not the most moisturising lipstick. It applies quite unevenly, and not so opaque. It's sheer but still gives you a very orange, peachy colour payoff. When I first applied it, I thought it was immediate hate, my lips weren't exfoliated so it showed.

It stuck to the dry, chapped lips quite unattractively and I had to smoothen it out with my fingers.

The colour itself is beautiful. It also has a creamy consistency.

Basically, it's a build-able colour but I think it works best over lipbalm-ed lips that's exfoliated.

Swatched with flash. Contains gold shimmers but very unnoticeable.
Not drying, yet doesn't offer any moisture. I suggest wearing a clear or a very orange lip gloss on top.
Sits quite comfortably on lips.

PROS:

-Lovely colour with acceptable payoff.
-It was quite cheap (on clearance).
-Colour can be build-up or sheered-out.
-Works wonderfully with lip gloss.
-Creamy consistency.
-Works well over pigmented lips.
-Not drying.
-Smells pleasant.

CONS:

-Accentuates dry lips in a bad way.
-Settles into the creases of the lip.
-Not very moisturising.
-Applies unevenly.
-Childish packaging.
-Colour might not suit everyone.

Rating: 4/5 (Not an everyday colour but a beautiful one to have in my collection)

Will I buy this again?

Probably not. A tube of lipstick lasts me a long time since I have many others. Plus, it's limited edition.

Do I recommend this?

If you don't have it in your collection, why not? That is...if it's still available.

Where can you buy this?

If it's still instock, definitely at your local Etude House. I'm not sure if online sellers still sell this since this is from last year's line.

---

That's it for my review, I hope you'll find this helpful.

Do leave a comment if you have tried anything from the line lol;

'til then, take care!

Review: Etude House Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color

This is going to be my review of the Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color :)

The shade I have is "Raspberry Mousse Cake", which is a beautiful pinkish red that slightly looks neon (to me) in the tin.

Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color
The packaging is so cute!
This really does look like a cupcake, don't you agree?

Plus the housing the product is in is just too adorable to throw away!

RD301 Raspberry Mousse Cake
So you get an icing topper~

Look at the detail that's put into the tin!
I guess if you're a sucker of cute packaging, this definitely wins!

It even has a cute raspberry!
There are other shades for this particular product.

PK001 Blueberry Cheese Cake
PK002 Strawberry Chiffon Cake
RD301 Raspberry Mousse Cake
OR201 Orange Choux Cake
OR202 Peach Sugar Cake
I wished the product itself would mimic what is shown on the promo pictures! Like a mousse consistency that follows real life icing on cupcakes! How awesome would that be??

Moving on~

This product is meant to be used for the lips, eyes and on the cheeks. Hence the name.
It's a 3 in 1 product.

For those looking for multipurpose products, this is it!

Here's the swatch.
The left is the blended one and the right is swatched 2 times.
I chose this over the other four shades because I figured that red is the safest colour to go with, and it looked the most balm-y. What I mean by balm-y is that when you actually swatch it, this has more of a tint rather than a full on creamy colour.

See how it's like a lip balm?

PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

-Smells like raspberry bubble gum.
-Contains 10g of product.
-Part of the Sweet Recipe Line.
-Multipurpose product.

From other reviews, I saw that the other creamier colour goes on almost opaque on the lips, however, this one really feels more like a waxy but non-sticky lip tint. In fact, the texture of it on the lips remind me of the Revlon Ultimate Suede Lipstick.

You can barely feel it on the lips. It does give a smooth silicone-y feeling if you touch it though. I'm not sure if it contains any silicone, but it does remind me of a silicone primer.

I'll show you how it looks like on the face, used for its intended purpose:

This is with base makeup.
For the record, I didn't use eye primer and I layered on lip balm prior because my lips were chapped.

ON LIPS:

When I was testing this product, I used it on the lips WITHOUT lip balm and it didn't feel that comfortable. It's not very moisturising, so you do need to use lip balm OR top it off with lip gloss. I mean, it feels smooth (due to the silicone-y feeling) but you don't feel like it moisturised your lips.

If you have chapped lips, be ready to deal with it getting into some of the cracks!

Used on eyes, cheeks and the lips!
ON CHEEKS:

On the cheeks, it's just like any other cream blush I used. Easy to dot and blend. For the purpose of this review, I kinda did two layers, or rather, 5 dots on each cheek and blended it.

So it looks kinda scary.

I'm not really a blush user so I may look like a clown here LOL.

I LOVE it as a blush though, I guess it's easy to touch up too due to the easy blend-ability.

For better view on the eyes.
ON EYES:

I was surprised how subtle it looked like on the eyes.
You'd expect red to look like your eyes are irritated, but surprisingly, it did not!

I am a fan of the colour, really.
It went on smoothly and it was easy to blend.

Unfortunately, it creased on me in less than an hour because I didn't use a primer and I have oily lids LOL.

CREASED! *I like how my lashes look here lol. No mascara~*
The colour stayed vibrant despite the creasing though.

Overall, I loved the colour so much.
It's weirdly flattering.

It's worth noting that the smell doesn't linger on the face. If you have sensitive skin, do take precautions on whether you're allergic to it or not.

LASTING POWER:

As lip cream, product disappears completely if you eat and drink.
As cream blush, it lasted 5 hours, still being vibrant on my combination skin.
As cream eyeshadow, lasted for 3 hours being vibrant (with creasing)

Let's go to the Pros and Cons!

PROS:

-Universally flattering shade.
-Multipurpose use, so it's very economical.
-Has a matte yet subtle sheen finish.
-Has a lovely subtle scent.
-Contains a LOT of product.
-Cute packaging.
-Colour is very natural on the lips.
-Locally available (Easily available online for international readers too).
-Affordable price.

CONS:

-Not very hygienic due to the packaging.
-Due to its multipurpose use, you end up dipping your fingers more than 3 times at least.
-Creased when used alone as eyeshadow.
-Not moisturising.
-Doesn't last that long on the lips if you eat or drink.
-Accentuates the imperfections on the lips and cheeks.

Rating: 4.5/5 (Despite creasing and the weird feeling on the lips, the product is travel-friendly enough that touching up is easy, hence the score)

Will I buy this again?

Maybe, if I ever run out but you get a LOT of product. So instead, I might buy two other shades: 'Orange Choux Cake' and 'Peach Sugar Cake'.

Do I recommend this?

Yes! I love the colour and if you know how to beat the imperfections, this is a nifty little product. Plus it's quite affordable, being a 3 in 1 product. You can be sure to use it as a blush and lip colour often!

Let's eat!
Where can you buy this?

For Bruneians, you can just go to your nearest Etude House and buy it!
It's priced at BND14.90, but if you're a member, a Princess, you can get 15% off! How cool is that?!

For International readers, if you have your local Etude House, you'd most probably have it.
If not, you can easily find it on eBay or other places that sell Korean Cosmetics!

Those are my honest thoughts on the product :D

I hope you find this helpful~

Do leave a comment if you've tried it!

'til then, take care!

Day Out (Olympus, Haul, Asians and Spotted Something!)

Hey~

I haven't actually done a proper blogpost (that's not depressing for once) in a while! I'm writing to share with you my day out at The Mall Gadong after about a month of not going there! Yes, I don't go to The Mall often, just because it's far away and my parents hate that place!

Waking up late and having to rush everything is sad lol. But yeah, I was excited to go out and I was also excited to finally wear out my asymmetrical high-low skirt that I got from Brands Outlet! Sorry but I didn't take an Outfit of The Day ( >_< ) Just because my shoes were downstairs and I don't feel like vaining in front of the mirror while at The Mall.

I did get some weird looks ( ;__; ) I guess my fat thighs are showing up. I was wearing it with opaque black tights though! I also wore out another shirt from the same place, wore light makeup and a headband I got from a recent giveaway. It was feathery and I thought it suit the whole....Owl look.

I took this at the hospital while visiting mom.
Ah, just an FYI, every pic here is taken AFTER I went out lol, hence the disheveled hair and melted makeup. Heck, even my HG eyeshadow base creased on me. HOW. My red hair's kinda faded already because I JUST HAD to wash it everyday.

It's freaking hot D: (That reminds me, I should do my number76 salon visit post soon!)

"No Eye Contact" How cute.
I had no problems with this shirt because I don't think it attracts attention to my chest because well, it's not around there XD and I love how the Owl looks like it's rolling its eyes in a way! It's like it's a creeper saying "Hey, whatchu doin' up there?"

I was also wearing a pink tank top underneath because the shirt itself was kinda sheer.

Don't mind the bulge, I had food.
Sorry I can't show you the skirt as much but what bothers me the most was how short it was!! It's really not a skirt for me to just kinda squat down to look at makeup!

So yeah, at first I was very hungry and craving for some meat. I had to drag my friends around Hot Point, Secret Recipe and lastly to Swensen's just to look for meat that can satisfy me.

We settled with Swensen's.
Dunno why LOL.

So yeah, I ordered Lamb Chops, cooked medium with pineapple barbecue sauce.
When it came, at first I was happy...until I saw that there was mainly gristle rather than the meat itself...

Too much gristle D:
And then the cutting knife they gave did not help cut the friggin' meat!

So I resorted to less than gentlewoman-ly ways of eating.

WITH THE HANDS!

I think the waiters saw my discomfort on my face, lol, they came over and asked if we liked everything and I childishly said, "There's too much fat!!"

I can't eat much fat, it makes me nauseous.
I'm sure some people like the fat that comes with the lamb chop, yes, but not everyone does.

My friend had the same order too, but his was cook well done. And he got all meat D:

WHYYY.

So anyway, to compensate, the offered to cook one more piece for me (aww, how nice) but gave me a different sauce. Black pepper sauce.

...I did not care for it.

So overall, the meat portions are yummy, it really was. Juicy and stuff.

But yeah, my teeth hates meat D: too chewy.

The lamb chop was BND17.50 so, I think them offering to replace the gristle with another chop was nice of them.

Oh, since we're on the topic of food....and pics, Kat linked me this video:

Yeah, I'm guilty. SO???
I'm Malay though so...technically, I'm South East Asian!

AND WTF IS WITH THIS GWIYOMI DANCE THING. STAHP.

Moving on~ we went around to TheFaceShop, Holika Holika and Paloma to look for a makeup base. Kat was looking for some eye makeup XD a waterproof eyeliner, more specifically!

TheFaceShop had makeup bases selling for BND32.90...I could have used my voucher for it but I thought that was still too much money for a base. Going to Holika Holika, it was the same story, but they had more choices for makeup bases!

Lastly, we went to Paloma.
I asked for makeup base and they told me only essence sells a makeup base.
I asked, is it good for oily skin? "No, no."

Aish.

But after going to the other Paloma, I decided to buy it lol. Along with some other things!

(Not before randomly deciding to buy tickets to watch "Olympus Has Fallen')

essence 'my base Skin-Perfection Makeup Base' (BND5.90)
essence Lipliner in "11 In The Nude" (BND1.90)
While deciding and kinda browsing around,  I just found out the brand has skincare. LOLs.

So, I picked up some things...

essence 'Pure Skin Natural Cover Moisturizer' in 'Lighter Skin' (BND3.90)
I was gonna buy the darker shade but it was too dark >_>
This is basically a tinted moisturiser!! Haven't used one in a while so I figure, why not?

There are days where I don't want coverage nor do I want to use BB Cream, so I got this instead.
Let's see if it's any good.

THEN, I saw some moisturisers!!

I got two.
One for mattifying purposes (if it even works) and one for light moisturising.

essence 'My Skin Mattifying Cream' (BND4.90)
essence 'My Skin Moisturising Cream-Gel' (BND4.90)
Honestly, I was drawn to the word 'Gel', because as you may know, I've been looking for a good gel moisturiser.

Unfortunately, since there were no testers, I didn't get to see what's inside.
I opened it and alas, it's not gel enough for me.

HOWEVER, it is light....and what the hell?? I'm sparkling like a Twilight Vampire D:
What moisturiser has sparkles??

First impressions is that it does absorb fast, smells pleasant (cucumber, hello~) and the consistency is nice. It's gel-like cream, if that makes sense?

I hope it doesn't break me out!

I had a member card so everything totalled to BND18.20!

My friend also bought some stuff from essence :)
So I lent her my card.

So after that, we went to Ochado and I ordered a Matcha....thingy.
I was talking to my friend how I hope it doesn't contain adzuki beans like Chatime.

But lo and behold, it DID contain adzuki beans D:

I was like "Oh no, it contains the beans!"

The person in charge was like "Oh, we can make you another one!!"

But I was like "No, no need!!"

One must not take a shop's kindness twice.
Well, not really.

But no!

So yeah, after that we went to go see the movie~

So, 'Olympus Has Fallen'?

I rate it 7/10! My friend rated it 8/10.

The reason why was that it was kinda cliche, VERY American views on things and stuff but I think I would watch it again. On DVD or Blu-Ray.

The acting was nice, the dialogue was okay and there were some funny bits here and there but hey, what can you expect from an action-thriller? Lots of blood!

I screamed, I talked and I critiqued some parts during the movie. As a girl who plays COD Black Ops or Modern Warfare, the movie only made me itch to play the games.

In a weird way.

So yeah, after the movies, I decided to go to Winmark in the hopes of finding dry shampoo.

FOUND IT.

batiste Original Dry Shampoo (BND9.90/8.90)
I haven't used it, I'll try it tomorrow!

I also bought a lulur with it. I dunno where the pic went lol.

EDIT: Found it!

Dewi Bulan Lulur Susu (BND1.80)
But here's all of them on top of Macky!

But I do have it in this pic!
Yeah, I also bought Nexcare Acne Patch! I totally forgot about it so I had to buy it after visiting my mom in the hospital.

Whilst I was around Guardian...

LOOK WHAT I SPOTTED!!

Maybelline Color Tattoos in Brunei!!

I didn't get to check the price unfortunately!
But the display, honestly, is dangerous.

It's an accident waiting to happen.

So yeah, that's about it for my day!

How was your day?

:)

Take care everyone~

P.S: I really want to have a nice digital camera...or a very, very lightweight DSLR or something. My photo quality is not how I want it to be!
