Day Out (Olympus, Haul, Asians and Spotted Something!)

Hey~

I haven't actually done a proper blogpost (that's not depressing for once) in a while! I'm writing to share with you my day out at The Mall Gadong after about a month of not going there! Yes, I don't go to The Mall often, just because it's far away and my parents hate that place!

Waking up late and having to rush everything is sad lol. But yeah, I was excited to go out and I was also excited to finally wear out my asymmetrical high-low skirt that I got from Brands Outlet! Sorry but I didn't take an Outfit of The Day ( >_< ) Just because my shoes were downstairs and I don't feel like vaining in front of the mirror while at The Mall.

I did get some weird looks ( ;__; ) I guess my fat thighs are showing up. I was wearing it with opaque black tights though! I also wore out another shirt from the same place, wore light makeup and a headband I got from a recent giveaway. It was feathery and I thought it suit the whole....Owl look.

I took this at the hospital while visiting mom.
Ah, just an FYI, every pic here is taken AFTER I went out lol, hence the disheveled hair and melted makeup. Heck, even my HG eyeshadow base creased on me. HOW. My red hair's kinda faded already because I JUST HAD to wash it everyday.

It's freaking hot D: (That reminds me, I should do my number76 salon visit post soon!)

"No Eye Contact" How cute.
I had no problems with this shirt because I don't think it attracts attention to my chest because well, it's not around there XD and I love how the Owl looks like it's rolling its eyes in a way! It's like it's a creeper saying "Hey, whatchu doin' up there?"

I was also wearing a pink tank top underneath because the shirt itself was kinda sheer.

Don't mind the bulge, I had food.
Sorry I can't show you the skirt as much but what bothers me the most was how short it was!! It's really not a skirt for me to just kinda squat down to look at makeup!

So yeah, at first I was very hungry and craving for some meat. I had to drag my friends around Hot Point, Secret Recipe and lastly to Swensen's just to look for meat that can satisfy me.

We settled with Swensen's.
Dunno why LOL.

So yeah, I ordered Lamb Chops, cooked medium with pineapple barbecue sauce.
When it came, at first I was happy...until I saw that there was mainly gristle rather than the meat itself...

Too much gristle D:
And then the cutting knife they gave did not help cut the friggin' meat!

So I resorted to less than gentlewoman-ly ways of eating.

WITH THE HANDS!

I think the waiters saw my discomfort on my face, lol, they came over and asked if we liked everything and I childishly said, "There's too much fat!!"

I can't eat much fat, it makes me nauseous.
I'm sure some people like the fat that comes with the lamb chop, yes, but not everyone does.

My friend had the same order too, but his was cook well done. And he got all meat D:

WHYYY.

So anyway, to compensate, the offered to cook one more piece for me (aww, how nice) but gave me a different sauce. Black pepper sauce.

...I did not care for it.

So overall, the meat portions are yummy, it really was. Juicy and stuff.

But yeah, my teeth hates meat D: too chewy.

The lamb chop was BND17.50 so, I think them offering to replace the gristle with another chop was nice of them.

Oh, since we're on the topic of food....and pics, Kat linked me this video:

Yeah, I'm guilty. SO???
I'm Malay though so...technically, I'm South East Asian!

AND WTF IS WITH THIS GWIYOMI DANCE THING. STAHP.

Moving on~ we went around to TheFaceShop, Holika Holika and Paloma to look for a makeup base. Kat was looking for some eye makeup XD a waterproof eyeliner, more specifically!

TheFaceShop had makeup bases selling for BND32.90...I could have used my voucher for it but I thought that was still too much money for a base. Going to Holika Holika, it was the same story, but they had more choices for makeup bases!

Lastly, we went to Paloma.
I asked for makeup base and they told me only essence sells a makeup base.
I asked, is it good for oily skin? "No, no."

Aish.

But after going to the other Paloma, I decided to buy it lol. Along with some other things!

(Not before randomly deciding to buy tickets to watch "Olympus Has Fallen')

essence 'my base Skin-Perfection Makeup Base' (BND5.90)
essence Lipliner in "11 In The Nude" (BND1.90)
While deciding and kinda browsing around,  I just found out the brand has skincare. LOLs.

So, I picked up some things...

essence 'Pure Skin Natural Cover Moisturizer' in 'Lighter Skin' (BND3.90)
I was gonna buy the darker shade but it was too dark >_>
This is basically a tinted moisturiser!! Haven't used one in a while so I figure, why not?

There are days where I don't want coverage nor do I want to use BB Cream, so I got this instead.
Let's see if it's any good.

THEN, I saw some moisturisers!!

I got two.
One for mattifying purposes (if it even works) and one for light moisturising.

essence 'My Skin Mattifying Cream' (BND4.90)
essence 'My Skin Moisturising Cream-Gel' (BND4.90)
Honestly, I was drawn to the word 'Gel', because as you may know, I've been looking for a good gel moisturiser.

Unfortunately, since there were no testers, I didn't get to see what's inside.
I opened it and alas, it's not gel enough for me.

HOWEVER, it is light....and what the hell?? I'm sparkling like a Twilight Vampire D:
What moisturiser has sparkles??

First impressions is that it does absorb fast, smells pleasant (cucumber, hello~) and the consistency is nice. It's gel-like cream, if that makes sense?

I hope it doesn't break me out!

I had a member card so everything totalled to BND18.20!

My friend also bought some stuff from essence :)
So I lent her my card.

So after that, we went to Ochado and I ordered a Matcha....thingy.
I was talking to my friend how I hope it doesn't contain adzuki beans like Chatime.

But lo and behold, it DID contain adzuki beans D:

I was like "Oh no, it contains the beans!"

The person in charge was like "Oh, we can make you another one!!"

But I was like "No, no need!!"

One must not take a shop's kindness twice.
Well, not really.

But no!

So yeah, after that we went to go see the movie~

So, 'Olympus Has Fallen'?

I rate it 7/10! My friend rated it 8/10.

The reason why was that it was kinda cliche, VERY American views on things and stuff but I think I would watch it again. On DVD or Blu-Ray.

The acting was nice, the dialogue was okay and there were some funny bits here and there but hey, what can you expect from an action-thriller? Lots of blood!

I screamed, I talked and I critiqued some parts during the movie. As a girl who plays COD Black Ops or Modern Warfare, the movie only made me itch to play the games.

In a weird way.

So yeah, after the movies, I decided to go to Winmark in the hopes of finding dry shampoo.

FOUND IT.

batiste Original Dry Shampoo (BND9.90/8.90)
I haven't used it, I'll try it tomorrow!

I also bought a lulur with it. I dunno where the pic went lol.

EDIT: Found it!

Dewi Bulan Lulur Susu (BND1.80)
But here's all of them on top of Macky!

But I do have it in this pic!
Yeah, I also bought Nexcare Acne Patch! I totally forgot about it so I had to buy it after visiting my mom in the hospital.

Whilst I was around Guardian...

LOOK WHAT I SPOTTED!!

Maybelline Color Tattoos in Brunei!!

I didn't get to check the price unfortunately!
But the display, honestly, is dangerous.

It's an accident waiting to happen.

So yeah, that's about it for my day!

How was your day?

:)

Take care everyone~

P.S: I really want to have a nice digital camera...or a very, very lightweight DSLR or something. My photo quality is not how I want it to be!

A Series of Unfortunate Events (feat. Kat)

*Photos will be added later*

Okay, so like, I've been procrastinating for a few days now.
But tonight, or rather, yesterday night, I actually had something interesting to blog about. Unfortunately I didn't get to do an OOTD/N or makeup, etc. It was really last minute.

You see, my friend Kat, invited me to go see this musical thing supposedly held at JIS. She got some free tickets and I've never been to a show in a while so I wanted to go.

I was fine, UNTIL, I got a sudden fever at about 6PM on Friday.

I was like "Where the hell did this come from??"

My nose was runny, tissues were next to me, coughed, some phlegm here and there. Basically, I was just sick. So suddenly sick!

I was watching Elizabeth: The Golden Age with my sister, sniffing and sneezing.

I tried to sleep early, I had some chamomile tea. I WAS sleepy.

But then, I was so sick, it was hard to sleep. My fever was high, and my nose was killing me and then my cheeks hurt for no reason (I'm guessing from all the sneezing). I got suddenly depressed.

All I wanted was someone to talk to, but no one was available unfortunately.

I was throwing up everything I ate, it was just, bad.

But then, I've been throwing up for 2 months now. So yeah.

I ended up watching some Youtube videos.

Somehow, I did fall asleep.

I woke up to the sound of my Whatsapp. It was around 11:30am, ish.

Apparently I forgot to turn off my wi-fi.

Anyway, I immediately asked Kat if she was gonna pick me up/what was the plan.
I told her I woke up from a nightmare.

In the nightmare, I was killing people. It was kinda like Lucius (been watching the Let's Plays, I guess). It kept repeating until I killed everyone correctly, basically.

Which was weird.

I told Kat I was feverish and my chest was hurting. Basically I needed to go back to sleep.

Considering my stomach problems, I think fevers are bad. It could mean anything. Especially if it's sudden. But then, my immune system might just be very bad now. Not to mention, I've been bruising a lot for no reason.

I'm getting less fat. I'm not gonna say thinner. Just less fat. I'm planning on starting exercising again when my body can take it.

Anyway, after a discussion of things, I told her I wanted to rest so I could feel better before the actual musical.

Again, I forgot to turn off my wi-fi.

I was then awoken again by the sound of my Whatsapp.

It was Kat.

Calling out my name repeatedly.
It was around 5.30pm.

She told me to get ready.

I wasn't feeling THAT well (mostly groggy) and I had a sore throat.

I went looking for my parents to tell them I was gonna go WHEN my dad told me not to. Because I was sick.

But I wasn't feeling THAT bad.

They kept telling me not to go, just in case something bad happened to me.

In my head, all I could think of was the word: Hypocrite.

This is an event I really wanted to go to, and here they are, saying not to go because I was sick. Yes, I was sick.

But hello~ when I was having a difficult time breathing and wanted to go to the hospital, who wasn't there to send me? Yes. Them.

Hypocrite moment there.

I went against their wishes basically, silently hoping nothing bad will go wrong because, in Muslim or just Bruneian beliefs, if you disobey your parents, you get 'ketulahan', bad luck, karma etc. Basically something will go wrong.

At first I texted Kat I wasn't allowed to go. Then I said I will go anyway.

Kat was already a bit late picking me up (but I didn't mind because I was still getting ready) but yeah, she arrived around 7.25pm.

*She said I smelled yummy and that she wanted to eat me. Kat, it's Victoria's Secret "Love Spell"*

The show was supposed to start at 7.30pm.

Well, we're already late.

AND THEN.

Kat suddenly exclaimed: "SHIT!! I LEFT MY TICKETS AT HOME"

Bad Luck #1

So, we went to her house which was farrrrr from mine. We actually went to Milimewah first to get some food and drinks.

When we got to her house, she kinda dropped the tickets again lol.

Then we kinda rushed to go to JIS.

When we kinda arrived, I looked at the tickets and softly said: "Kat, it says Jerudong Amphitheatre"

There were a few street guards/patrols or whatever they're called, and we asked them about it. There WAS an event going on at JIS BUT it wasn't the performance.

Kat then asked her cousin about it and she confirmed it was at the Amphitheatre.

Bad Luck #2

Wrong place.
So, we rushed to Jerudong Park area. Not even knowing where the Amphitheatre was. We were like, an HOUR late.

We asked her cousin if her nieces already performed.

And yes, they did.

So we missed one performance from them (and a hell lot more in an hour, if you imagine)

So when we did go to the Amphitheatre, we were looking for parking. There was a slight drizzle.
We went to the wrong parking lot (dunno how to explain this part) but in the end, we kinda did park.

So yeah, we then rushed, Kat brought an umbrella which she said: "Just in case it rains heavily"

As we scurried to the place, we kinda went to the performance area LOL. So we kinda went around the toilet area where people were smoking. I hate smokers. My dad USED to smoke.

So inconsiderate. It was a family event with kids. C'mon, can you not smoke just for a few hours??

So yeah, we kept looking for seats. Kat said "Wow, they didn't even check our tickets, if I knew, I would have invited more friends". There were a lot of empty seats.

We kept migrating here and there to find the perfect seat.

When we did find the perfect seating place, Kat whispered that there was a cute White guy (Ang Moh (sp?)) she calls them. I didn't really see his face so I don't know lol.

So we sat back and watched the show.

There were really cute kids in the performance. We gushed from the cuteness.

Just a while after that, they had an intermission.
During the intermission, Kat wanted to go to the washroom while I wanted to see if they had food around.

I hadn't eaten anything, you see.

We went to a food stand.

And damn.

Bad Luck #3

Expensive food.

BND$1 for a stick of sausage? I immediately said "NO THANK YOU"

They also had three pieces of chicken wings for...something. I dunno but I wasn't interested. I wanted a burger and couldn't see one.

So, we decided to go to the washroom instead. We had some snacks (I got chocolate anyway).

At the washroom, after we did our business, Kat said something along the lines of how she was "fluffy" (don't like the word fat here lol), and there was this random White lady who just said "No, you're not fluffy!", and I just laughed "Just not toned!"

And then she said "At least you don't have cellulite!"

To which I replied, "But I do~"

Unfortunately.

But that was interesting.

So yeah, after the intermission, Kat mentioned how there are two free seats close to her cousin's area, which was closer to the stage.

So we went there.

They had these dances, all kinds, ballet, hip-hop, tap, etc. You name it, they performed it!

THEN the cutest little boys came out. They were wearing something so cute and nerdy and were performing hip-hop if I'm not mistaken.

It was sooooo cute.

Me and Kat both claimed a little Chinese boy with glasses as ours lol.

Then more cuteness ensues and some other stuff.

Halfway, Kat realized we were sitting at the seats reserved for parents (which I realized earlier on, just didn't mention) and then we kinda just went along with it.

I had a kind of longing for a child then.

....let's get back on track.

So yeah, after a while, more songs from Musicals that I know were playing. Which was kind of exciting. I never knew my knowledge on Musicals were that big. Well, not big but I didn't know I was kinda knowledgeable about it.

I didn't expect a dance performance. I expected a real musical actually. But maybe that happened and I just missed it.

As the show progressed, it started raining heavily. With thunder and lightning. I kinda prayed it would go away when the show ends.

But unfortunately, it didn't.

So by the end of the performance, we decided to go earlier. I think it was around 10.30pm by then.

As we went under the rain, one thing immediately came to mind.

My flats.

My favourite flats.

They were gonna die.

I kinda told Kat that. I decided to wear flats because heels would just slow me down but damn, it was raining heavily!!

When we reached the car area, we realized that it flooded.

Well, kinda.

I already said my peace to my shoes and just hurried on. Water was entering my poor flats, my feet got wet, it was getting wetter as we proceeded.

And then...

Bad Luck #4

Water. WATER EVERYWHERE.

When we got to the place we parked at, we realized that the road was so uneven, my legs got soaked. It was a puddle that reached about 20-30cm? Basically it also soaked my jeans.

My flats were already dead.

So yeah, we were on our way home. Chatted and stuff.

By the time we reached my house, I found out another thing as I turned to pay Kat for the food.

CHOCOLATES.

CHOCOLATES EVERYWHERE IN MY BAG.

CHOCOLATE MASSACRE.

Bad Luck #5

I was devastated.

It stained the bag, my wallet...and later I found out, also my lip butter.

Came home, to my parents' worried faces.

Found out there was no food waiting for me.

Bad Luck #6

So yeah, sigh.

It was an adventure really.

I tried my best to clean my bag, clean my room, chatted with a few friends and here I am, still awake at 3.51am.

With a stomach ache and I might throw up.

But yeah, so, what did this outing tell me?

Is the so-called 'ketulahan' real?

Guesso.

What do you think?

Had fun though :) really like my "dates" with Kat.

So adventure-ific.

So I'll end this here and maybe I'll add some photos and videos later.

Goodnight (I guess)

Take care :D

Baby Doll Dress Photoshoot Preview

I....I should be blogging about the Lolita Tea Party that I went to the other day, but I shall wait for my friend to blog about that so I can link you guys to her blog lol

I'm sure she'd have a more in-depth account of the event. She is, after all, one of the hostesses :)
I think she planned a successful event and I'm happy for her ^^

I'm so tired from the photoshoot today.
But at least I had very yummy cake to snack on. Though that resulted in a bloated face throughout the photoshoot lol.

I have.....2 people who's going to edit the photos. Two people with different styles and perception of beauty. I will also edit some photos that I'd love to edit LOL.

Some easy ones though, that won't need much edit, because I'm still a noob at it.

Here are some photos:

I edited this :) Just smoothed the skin and edited the lighting.
For this shoot, I was too lazy to pile on makeup on the face, so I told myself it can just be photoshopped lol. I just used concealer and my mineral loose powder. Another reason is that my friend was planning to use flash photography so I didn't want any SPF on me.

So yeah, simple makeup only. Just to cover most of the scarring I have on my face. On my eyes, just a white sticky base and brown-gold eye makeup. For the lips, I lined my lips a bit and finished off with my Dior Lipgloss. In some of the shots I forgot to re-apply. Sigh.

Really need a proper makeup artist to do touch-ups.

The lashes stand out too much lol. They're my natural-looking falsies though. Maybe next time, I'll use the more extreme ones.

Edited by photographer/Maj. Looks very studio-like!
The colour reminds me of Glee. Is it just me? The background, I mean.

This makes me look like a Disney Princess.
Cross between Alice and Sleeping Beauty.

Very creepy. Edited by Maj.
This looks very book-like.

What would the title be?

( 'w' ) ........looks very classic, this edit.

It's after this shoot on the floor did I rip my skirt. DAMN.
Of all times.

It's not obvious, but it's ripped LOL.
Twice actually.
Sigh.

LOL. And another shot I liked (and edited):

Toto liked grass more than posing. Nisah is sad :(
This wasn't meant to be a serious photo but I thought it looked nice LOL.
Way better than some poses I did XD

I mostly had fun with my friends. Thanks to Maj, the photog and to Tin (or Ten) the assistant/baker of the day. She baked yummy matcha sponge cake.

Good thing this wasn't a modeling shoot or the client would have fired me already LOL.

Took close to 300 shots but yeah, only some were good :)
That is the life of photoshoots.

Unless you're very pretty, thin and flawless and knows all your good angles.

I guess.

LOL.

Will post more in the future :)

'til then!

P.S: I'm so tired, I actually jumped a few times and hurt my feet ):

Recent Buys and A Birthday Outing

Due to my depression and manic breakdowns recently, I kinda go back and forth between normalcy and well, screeching banshee. I scream a lot when I have my breakdowns, never good for my vocal chords. Kinda sad because my vocals are quite important.

Anyway, gonna list out what I've been buying recently :)

I hauled another e.l.f haul just because I could that day, I like the things I got more compared to last time :) which is good. I'm technically broke as of today. Not gonna lie. LOL.

Maybe that's good.

Anyway, on to the things!!!

4 eyeshadows, two lipglosses and a pressed powder.
I really liked everything, I was surprised. The funny thing about Brunei's import of e.l.f is that they ordered all the dark shades. What? Are we that dark? I doubt it. No. LOL. Weird.

I decided to get the powder because I've always wanted a contouring powder PLUS this is matte. Win!!!

I tried it today, it seemed okay. I just wish my cheeks weren't blemished ):

I didn't get the shadow palette for the eyeshadows because it was expensive lol.

I'm loving the glosses, they might be a bit sticky and drying than my Baby Lips BUT I think the smell and flavour makes up for it. Now my lips can smell and taste like coffee XDD without the caffeine :D

And coconuts :)
Sorry about the weird photo. Didn't feel like doing much cropping :(
Matte powder :DD
I'm kinda happy with this as it's not muddy brown :) and it's not too dark for me either.

I'll post swatches of the shadows and this powder when I have time :)

I also got this today during my outing with my friends to celebrate her birthday :)
It's a salt scrub and I just decided to try it out :)

YOKO Cucumber Spa Salt
Here are the ingredients. Except for the fragrance I think it's okay.
This is how it looks like :) it smells so yummy :D more to melons than cucumber though!
Again, sorry about the cropless photo D:
This is the box. I was so excited when I saw this!!
I was hoping this would be the solution to my pimple problem ): at least help dry it out!!
I'll keep you guys posted about the cream! I'm really putting my hopes up high for this :)

Oh and lookie!!
LOL I'm pretty sure I mentioned this before :)

Just a bit more 'til I say goodbye to this powder :O

Oh yeah, got this the other day too :) they increased their price by 50 cents D:
I had the usuals today at Pastamania :D Cheese Sticks
Aglio Olio (but it was tasteless today D:)
A soda, but a different kind today :) strawberry!!
And here are the two people I hung out with! Rachel and Nabilah.
The girl in green is the birthday girl :)

The checkered bag is my gift to her :) she really liked it :DD kinda happy!

Rachel and Nabilah :)
We watched Dark Shadows today :D it was fun!!
Well worth it I guess. Considering the last movie I watched was with...him.

The gift I gave her. It's nothing much but was thoughtful!
Okay, this was less negative for once right? I actually enjoyed this. Except for the photo uploading part LOL.

Okay then :)

Good night~~
