Letting Go of Some Stuff (Makeup)

As in my makeup palettes lol.
I'm still sorting through my makeup and then I realized how rarely I use some palettes.

You can take a look at some of the items here:
For Sale (Pre-Loved Makeup)

When I say pre-loved, it really means no love at all lol.
I barely touched them, some shades aren't even touched. I just kept them because they're pretty or nostalgic.

Like the Naked 2 palette.

I'm still sorting through stuff, so I might add some more occasionally.

Honestly, I really need to slow down on the palette collection.
Like I said before, occasionally my older sister would give me hers.

I know Urban Decay shadows don't work on my lids, but sometimes it's still so hard to resist.

As much as I love theBalm, some of their stuff don't work on me also lol.

So yeah, things like that.

If you're interested in any way, do leave a comment :)

'til then, take care!

Urban Decay Naked2 Basics

If you guys saw it on Instagram (well I saw it there) or FB, you'd have seen it.
Now, I don't need it, but it's on the website.

Oh yeah, here's the first one for comparison:

I have the fake one just so you know LOL
And here's the new one:

Naked2 Basics
It looks cool toned to me, I'm guessing a 3rd one might come out too then, something more pink LOL.

The shades.
Well, I don't think I'll get it, but I do like it lol.
It's really something you'd need maybe if you want to blend out shades.

Definitely a more basic palette in my eyes in comparison to the first one.

Question is:

Will YOU be getting it?

Here it is on their website:

Sometimes I wonder if it's a prank.

Anyway, take care!

1st Impressions: Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette = Naked 3 Dupe

My brother just came back from the UK :D
And he brought with him something I asked him to order while he was there on holiday...

Makeup Revolution 's dupe for Urban Decay's Naked 3!
It's called Iconic 3 and it's £4!

Iconic 3

I was honestly undecided about getting N3 or not...it's like BND80-100, depending on where you get it (yes, I have a sister in the US but I don't think I'd gamble on something that costs more than BND50 that I can't swatch myself) so when I started seeing this palette pop up on my Bloglovin' (well, one post) I decided to get it.

I like how the shadows look like, looks classy. Looks similar to the layout of the Naked palettes, so it's much more appealing to me. The eyeshadows are 14g!! MUA's are 9.4g.

*goes to UD's site*

HOLD ON.

Do you see what I'm seeing?

Seriously?

They increased the price?

AGAIN?

*edit: went to Ulta's site and saw that it's still the same price there*

It was USD52 for a while (they used to be USD50 if you still remember), and now it's USD54?

Uh. Nope.

No way. Not even gonna think about it anymore.
I'm no longer curious.

I hate the packaging anyway :/

Anyway~

Here's some quick swatches of the Iconic 3!

You can zoom in if you wanna see clearer :)
I swatched the dupe for Strange and Nooner twice, but the rest are one swatch. Without primer too, btw.

I am in LOVE with Trick's dupe. I think some colours are not so similar but I can work with this.

I am happy with this!

AND IT'S AFFORDABLE!! ARGHHHH!

SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT MORE EVEN THOUGH I DON'T NEED IT.

Phew.

I'm half angry at the price increase (yet again) considering a lot of complaints are made about the quality being not up to par with the old palettes.

Anyway, happy shopping ;D

Here's the link to their FB and the palette:

Makeup Revolution FB
- Get the Iconic 3

I will do an in-depth review soon I guess :3

I'm really excited that my expectations are met, especially since I could only rely on bloggers.

'til then, take care!

The Naked 3 Debate (Discovering a Fake)

Sorry for not blogging too much, I lost the net for a while.
Actually, the router died.

Anyway, back to the blogpost:
It's more like debating with myself if I really wanna get it or not.

Seriously though, the more reviews come out, the more indifferent I am with it lol.
It looks pretty, it looks wearable, but I don't think it's anything I need.

Picture from Urban Decay
Look at the pretty wearable colours!
Maybe, like what my cousin said, it might be a deal-breaker if I actually get to swatch it in person, touch it, feel it, you know. She might be able to do that, lol, so I'm waiting for the verdict from her.

But honestly, I feel like most of the colours would disappear on my lids
( > < )

Well, technically, I got to touch it.
Tonight.

A fake one lol.

At a stall. It was sold for BND23. You might have seen it around.

The colours were so off though.

*EDIT: I think they have remade it to follow the original Naked 3, be warned!*

How. What.
Picture taken from a wholesale site.
The box is a lot different I believe, but they got the palette packaging quite close, the names were correct too I believe.

HOW.

Urban Decay packages stuff in China right?
Is that why?

To be honest, the shades on this fake one is a lot more interesting though lol.
It has more balance LOL.

Don't you think so?

The 3rd one is too pink.
Which is so funny.

I dunno if I can swatch the fake one at the stall but eh.

( '_' ) I will just continue to stare at my Naked 2 and debate whether I should use it or not yet.
It's an ongoing debate.

I might just put it in a time capsule.

Hopefully more reviews will be up soon :D

Wish me luck!

OH, there's a giveaway going on at SpRiNkLe RaiN!
Why don't you guys check it out :D

She's an awesome blogger :3

So yeah, what do you think about the Naked 3? Are you debating like me still?
Just gonna pass it? I might.

'til then, take care!

(Fake) Urban Decay Naked Basics & Thoughts on Fakes in General

Hold your horses. I wasn't duped into buying it. I didn't even pay that much for it.
I bought it out of curiosity. I only paid around BND7 for it. Or something like that.
Either way, I knew I was getting a fake one~

You know how nowadays, China has really upped their game on copying palettes?
There are Urban Decay, TooFaced, Benefit, MUFE--even my beloved theBalm copies.
They just end up copying them.

I was really surprised when I saw the copied Glinda and Theodora palettes. When I got mine back in March, I was like "Well, for sure, this won't get copied! It's too difficult to copy."

Well, I was wrong.

How in the world---
I think the ones the seller posted in this website are the true fake ones (what):

My first thought was that: Well, that means people can easily be duped again with the fake ones, if the seller says they're original.

That means, don't buy from eBay.

There ARE sellers who are selling the original ones (The Oz Palettes) locally, don't worry, but be careful if the price is too good to be true. Anything under $50 (unless it's 2nd hand) is worth worrying about. These palettes are limited edition. If anything, they should sell it for more than that. But then again some greedy people might even sell it for the original price. Why am I giving them ideas. STAHP.

FAKE NAKED BASICS

"Hi, I'm fake :D"
Anyway, let's move on to pictures of the Fake Naked Basics I willingly bought (lol).
I DON'T own the original Naked Basics. I don't think I plan on getting it. I DO want it, but I'd rather buy Naked 3 right now (Have you guys seen it? I'm not a fan of the packaging. Looks tacky!)

Let's start with the box~
When I first saw it I was like "Oh. Em. Gee. The box looks so pretty!"

I'm a box wh**e.

It's embossed.
Look at that pesky number. They used to not have that I believe.
It' a production number or something.
"Ingredients"
For a fake palette, they do pay attention to details.
I keep accidentally opening this part.
I can't get the palette out this way.
"Urban Decay"
For me, I thought the box was quite well made.

But then again, the Urban Decay palettes I have don't come in boxes like these (other than Theodora) so I can't really compare.

Now, let's move on to the palette itself.
The casing is rubberized, I believe it is also darker compared to the original one.
It has a weight that comes mostly from the mirror inside.

"I look fancy"
"For a fake."
What I hate the most about this is how HARD it is to open it.
I just clipped my nails, so it's short as hell.

My lil' sis seems to be a pro at opening it though.
Once I close it, I cry.

Mainly because I can't open it.

Damn you.

Inside, it's a bit different that what I've seen?

The original I think has easily dented box-like thingies to store the shadow pans.
These are made with plastic.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought that was very interesting how the fake one is made with the plastic material instead.

I believe the names are all centered.
Without Flash
With Flash
I thought the palette looked quite beautiful, really.
It made me want the original.
Don't hit me.

Just for a moment I thought I wanted the original.

How the shadows are filled.
Anyway, how do they compare to the original?
Swatches I mean.

I am disappointed.

Without Flash
Okay, to be fair, I did swatch Faint quite badly here.
But yeah, the swatches are disappointing.

Doesn't compare at all to the buttery shadows from Urban Decay!
Maybe because they're matte.

I do own the 120 palette, 80 shimmer palette (Coastal Scents) and the 42 stack palette (Made in China y'know) and even those are better I believe.

With Flash
There's something really weird with the texture.
Like, it's smooth, but hard.
You need to dig in to swatch them.

"Venus" sucks the most.

The other two lighter shades ("Foxy" and "W.O.S" look the same on my skin tone)

"Naked 2" is sad.

"Faint" and "Crave" is okay. I mean, I'd wear it.

I haven't used a brush to pick the shadows up (a proper shader brush. I used a fluffy brush to see. "Venus" just REFUSED to stick)

*EDIT: I used a synthetic c-shader brush and damn, it just balls up into stuff. I've read about fake Naked palette reviews how it does this. It's almost impossible to use? I don't know if I wanna use it lol. HM.*

*EDIT2: I actually tried out the palette (with eye primer of course to protect my lids) and used a natural hair eyeshadow brush and it works a lotttt better. Venus is still pretty sheer, Naked 2 is just my exact skin tone, so it's good for blending out colours, but it looks quite good really. I'd wear it LOL. Maybe just a bit hard to blend.*

They really can't compare.
So if you bought this palette for BND35-45 and the swatches look like mine:
Hunt that person you bought it from DOWN.

The palette looks quite pretty though.
If it's just for show.
So yeah, those are my thoughts on it.
Was I bummed about the pigmentation? Yeah.

But hey, I have other palettes with similar colours (maybe not all) that I can work with.
Maybe if I scrape the top off, it'd work better.

But for BND7, it's...not horrible.

At least they're smooth.

---

Well, for me, I'd buy fakes if I KNOW it's fake (EDIT: strictly eyeshadows though)
I bought my Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box online and for a while I thought it was fake. However, I've never seen an imitation of that. I haven't come across it. Plus the pigmentation is superb and looks like the ones online so yeah :x

I haven't touched my Naked 2 palette, I'm keeping it aside for now. I have my lovely (but flawed) Theodora but I don't reach out for it that much either (both bought from Sephora).

I've mostly been using my cheaper shadows (okay, no, I've been using my Nude'tude Palette more nowadays) and they work well.

So honestly, if you can get your hands on MUA palettes, by all means, get them. They're a good deal.
If you can get the original Urban Decay, TooFaced, Benefit, etc. by all means, buy them.

If you plan on buying fakes, trust me, find it online.
DON'T buy it locally. Unless you can find someone who sells the original for an affordable price (Naked Palette should be around BND80-BND110 I think), don't shell out BND35-45 for a "Naked Palette". That's most likely a pretty good fake.

Unless the seller tells you it's imitation, then it's your money, your choice.

You're better off buying something from Catrice and essence and get something good out of it for the money you spent on the fake.

Unless you're a curious person like me, buys the fake because of that, then you're like me.

I would use this, if only it's not that HARD to open.

Anyway, I hope the pictures help.

Last but not least:
These are sad fakes.
The other two shades I mean.

'til then, take care!

P.S: Should I buy the original one or what. I should wait for Naked 3 right? Will I even buy it? Do I even need my Naked 2. Damn.

I had fun writing this lol.

-Nisah-

Oh yeah, I saw the fake Naked 2 at Times Square for BND23 or BND32. That's okay I guess LOL;

Review: Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden

Hi guys :D
I've been neglecting my blog for a bit u.u; I'm sorry.

Ramadan has started, so happy fasting to all Muslims :D
I hope my stomach doesn't act up during this month!

Anyway~
Going back to the topic, I'm gonna be reviewing Urban Decay's Primer Potion (UDPP) in 'Eden'!
I keep reviewing eyeshadow bases LOL.

Urban Decay Primer Potion in 'Eden' (The packaging)
Product Information:
This is it – THE most legendary primer in the beauty industry. Eyeshadow Primer Potion is coveted by makeup artists and makeup junkies alike because it guarantees more vibrant eyeshadow that lasts for 24 hours and NEVER CREASES! Once you experience its powers (plus how smoothly it glides on – an added bonus) you'll never want to live without it. Original formula dries down invisibly, while Eden, Sin and Greed are shades that can also be worn as shadows or highlighters!

Now this extraordinary elixir comes in an easy-to-squeeze tube so you can control how much you apply. You also get more primer in every tube – 11 ml instead of the original 10!

Fill Weight: 11ml e 0.37 US fl oz
UDPP in 'Eden' (Front)
This is Urban Decay's #1 Best Selling product. It used to have a more unique packaging but the new squeeze tube is more user-friendly. They claim that this primer potion stays crease-free for 24 HOURS! Has anybody tried that claim out?

This is priced at USD20, and is RM75 at Sephora Malaysia. I bought this from there (through my older sis). That's equivalent to BND30 at the time I bought it. It contains 11ml of product, and a little goes a long way, so it would last you a while.

Other than this shade, the UDPP comes in 3 other shades: Original (Nude - Dries Invisibly), Greed (Shimmery Gold) and Sin (Champagne Shimmer).

'Eden', the one I have, is a 'nude matte finish' primer. It's a nude/skin tone finish, and works to even out your lid colour.
UDPP in 'Eden' (Back)

As a primer, it helps make your eyeshadows more vibrant, and makes it stick, hence it'd last longer. It is waterproof. If you're wearing shimmery shadows, the shimmer will disappear if your rub it but the colour will stay. It stays crease-free for me but it's really not my favourite eye primer It actually creases on me faster than my cheap essence one. Even with Urban Decay shadows. **

SWATCHES
Used a M.A.C shadow
I like it, but I DON'T love it.

Here's why:

It's SOOOOO hard to BLEND! It's almost impossible for me.
If it's already so hard to blend on the hand, imagine blending it on your lids.
My lids didn't enjoy the treatment even though it is a good primer.

What is this patchy mess??
UD claims that it glides on smoothly - well, NOT EDEN!

I'm pretty sure the other shades would be smoother.

It's a shame because there are not many primers with a nude matte finish, I'll tell you that. I do have some primers with this finish but really, there are not many primers that can even out your lid.

This was my first Urban Decay product, so I feel a bit sad. I reach out more to my other primers over this one!
That's the reason why I'm gonna sell this on my Pre-Loved Products Blogsale.

---

Here are the Pros and Cons:

PROS:

-Has 3 other shades.
-Makes eyeshadow vibrant.
-Waterproof (they don't claim it as such, but it is).
-Using a normal facial cleanser will not remove the primer, only the eyeshadow itself.
-Doesn't crease **
-Evens out eyelid colour.
-Eyeshadow sticks well to the primer.
-Now comes in a convenient squeeze-y tube.
-Has 11ml of product.
-A little goes a long way.

CONS:

-Expensive.
-Hard to blend.
-Not locally available (*).
-Creases on me faster than my essence primer. At 4-5 hours**
-Only available at certain online shops or at Sephora.

*You CAN find it locally but it's sold for BND50+ at Shop@Sarah's I think (it's not an authorised reseller) OR you can also buy the replica from a seller for BND18. Mind you, they claim it's original. Some comparisons say it works about the same.

Rating: 4/5 (Blending is a B*tch)

Will I buy this again?

No. At least not this shade. I might try the original one.

Do I recommend this?

It depends. It's so hard to blend for me. But it IS a good primer.

Where can you find this?

Urban Decay's official site (for those who live in the US), they also teamed up with another site to provide for international customers but it's a bit complex?
At a Sephora branch.
Some authorised or unauthorised online sites.
Locally at Shop@Sarah's at limited quantities.

---

I hope you found this review helpful!
If you did, leave a comment.

Have you tried this?
Do you like it? Do you hate it?

'til then, take care!

-Nisah-

P.S: Blogsale for new/unopened makeup and skincare will be up soon!

Forget My Birthday Post, Here's My Makeup Haul!

Lol the title is just...lol. But honestly, I'd rather share photos than write a full blogpost. Oops.
I just got home yesterday night. It was tiring but I'm glad I came home and everything came home safe. It's like "THAT'S FRAGILE" all the way.

Anyway, I'm just excited to share the makeup/skincare I got.
And one re-buy that I regret not hoarding lol (it's not makeup XD)

I'll also list out the prices (Yay~) because I kept all the receipts. I think.

Most of the items aren't planned, only some are. Obviously. Some items I didn't manage to get too though, but I'm content!

Here's the haul!

On the first day, we went to Pavillion KL, I had to bite my lips as we walked past Sephora at Starhill Gallery. Now, that's what I call patience!

Not in this is my makeup remover wipes from SaSa btw.

I got a few things not in my list there:

TBS Cranberry Joy Fragrance Oil (RM25)
TBS Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner (RM39)
TBS Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Golden Girl (RM38)
They had this buy 3 and get 20% off promotion so yeah, three things.
I should have just bought three of the cranberry oil because I LOVE THAT.
And it's limited edition, so yeah :x

Golden Girl is a pretty colour, swatched buttery smooth. Just love.
Does it justify the price? Hm. Not so much LOL but the price point is similar to that of theBalm.

Next is this and a facial sauna (FINALLY)

elite Starlight Eyeshadow in Matt Choco (RM17)
This wasn't planned at all but I loved it when I swatched it...was actually planning to get PeriPera or Clio from Watsons but gdi, the testers were killing them for me >_>;

You see, I've always wanted a home facial sauna, and Watsons selling their house brand sauna for friggin RM39.90! Who wouldn't want that???

Moving on~
Stupid Pavillion got Etude House so I strayed there.

BAM.

Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Balm in #03 Sand Beige (RM119.90)
Wonder Pore Freshener (RM79.90)
I've always eyed the Baby Glow but I didn't double check the price before I bought it. Rest assured, it's cheaper in Brunei >_>;

But I got this because it as Buy 1 Free 1 Promotion. Of course you pay for the more expensive item. I should've gotten both the Baby Glow balms just because it was pricy LOL.

But I've always wanted to try out the Wonder Pore Freshener, so yeah...

I just saw it as paying for both products rather than a BOGO LOL.

My mom was at Coach for a long time >_>; until it rained before we managed to go to Sephora.

I didn't manage to stare in awe because I went in with a mission:

Get in, Get it and Go.
The Three Gs you need to abide by if you don't wanna spend too much.

So yeah, I rushed in, paid no attention to anything else other than the Urban Decay, Benefit and TooFaced aisle.

Looked around the Benefit World Famous Neutrals and BAM, I got it.

Real reason why I wanted it is because of these babies:

Discontinued (old packaging at least) Creaseless Cream Shadows
Then I moved on to Urban Decay (although it was the first thing you see when you get in)

I asked for the Theodora Palette and BAM, got it.
And then had a moment to choose between Naked and Naked 2.
Naked 2 won. GOT IT.

I went to TooFaced to swatch but I wasn't majorly impressed (or rather, I didn't want to be impressed, to save money)

SEPHORA
UD Naked 2 Palette (RM179)
UD Theodora Palette (RM180)
benefit World Famous Neutrals in Most Glamorous Nudes Ever (RM115)
Theodora is more pricey because well, it's limited edition and well, new.
Glinda was there too, being all pretty and shit but I told myself NO, because I didn't like the colours as much.

It wouldn't look good on me.

Oh, and spot that ziplock bag?
That's the UD Basic Launch GWP Promo set.
Got it from buying UD I guess.
I'm guessing everyone got the same thing (also guessing it's not the selling like hotcakes ones)

The Insides.
-2 Full-sized UD Vintage Eyeshadows in Midinight Cowboy and Goddess.
-2 Sample-sized UD 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Electric and Covet.
-1 Full-sized Clean & Sober Oil-Free Makeup Remover
-2 Sample Sachets of Primer Potions in Sin and Original
-1 Sample-sized UD Skyscraper Multi Benefit Mascara

(as I'm typing this, Midnight Cowboy fell from it's home, and now I have glitter everywhere)

Not sure of the value but a lot, I guess.
I'm quite happy with the samples except that the two colours are meh.
One was broken (Midnight Cowboy) and one was not the smoothest (Goddess).

I fixed Midnight Cowboy as soon as I stepped back into my room though, it was Glitter Mania.

See that mess around? Yeah, that's from Midnight Cowboy LOL. (This was before I fixed it)
I loved the colour and payoff of MC but the glitter was just too much D: as I fixed it, it was everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

Goddess is pretty in the pan, not that pretty on its own but gorgeous over a black base.
I tried it. Not on my eyes yet though.

That same night, we went to Parkson and uh, oops:

In my wishlist, but not planned (RM19.90)
I wanted Tenacious Teal but no place had it!
I got this at Parksons, and I also saw it at Caring Pharmacy.

Didn't see it at Watsons, Guardian or SaSa D:

A nice salesgirl also uh, co-erced me into buying this one:

Max Factor Max Effect Dip-In Eyeshadow in Ultra Violet (RM36)
It's pretty, but I really had no plans to buy it ):
At least I know I don't have anything similar!

I really wanted this so I got it~

CLIO Professional Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner Mini Set (RM51.90 N/P: RM79.90)
All the testers I tried everywhere sucked.
I nearly didn't get this BUT the place that had this, the ONLY SaSa I found that had this had good testers!!

And I liked it, so I bought it LOL.

...last but not least:

My first M.A.C item!

M.A.C Paint Pot in Soft Ochre (RM72)
How pretty o.o
I actually wanted to NOT get this.
I wanted to buy NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone instead but unfortunately Sephora ran out of stock.

This was actually bought in the airport, KLIA.
It's normally RM75 I believe, but it was less RM3 in the airport. Weird huh?

Or maybe it's just this colour.

Or I might be wrong.

Mom got this for me. She also got me the Naked 2 Palette.

I didn't buy much (to my standards), I'm actually proud that I stuck by to some of the things I wanted to buy and refused to buy other things when I set my eyes on something.

Except for a few unplanned things, I'm proud that I didn't go crazy at Sephora nor at SaSa.

I'm learning. Slowly.

Unfortunately most of the things I bought are expensive...
So yeah ):

That's the first part of my KL Haul btw lol.

So yeah!

Take care!

-Nisah-

P.S: I post most of my hauls and stuff on my Instagram usually, but since I mixed it with personal vaining and stuff, following me is a choice lol. You either click the tab up there or just click here :D
