Another Miri Haul (theBalm, Dolly Wink, Garnier, Books, etc.)

Should I just do a pic dump?
I'm kinda tired lol.

Anyway, I overspent a little bit than normal because some of the stuff I bought was pricier than I normally go for...in fact, I nearly indulged in a high-end foundation (Estee Lauder Doubler Wear) but I didn't!! That'd be in my wishlist.

Well, two items from theBalm already used up most of my money lol. I am so far happy with the things I got, the ones I've used already. Like, I think it's worth it.

Moving on~

From SaSa
It's hard to resist this place, really. Especially when it's the only place that sells theBalm.
I've become more wary of the things I buy from them, of course, I always ask for the SA to show me the products now lol before I buy. I do notice that no matter what, it seems like it's SO HARD for theBalm powder products to look flawless somehow.

Of course you can't tell if it's been swatched or not but sometimes, there are marks still, and it makes you go "What." but eh. The foundation is sealed inside, which is good. I still wish the powder products are sealed as well. like, after they inspect if it's broken or what, they should tape it.

Here's what I got:

1. theBalm timeBalm Foundation
2. theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer
3. Lennox Calorie Limit Tea (found out that I might be allergic to one ingredient >_>)
4. Combos Skin Pore Refining Set
5. Dolly Wink Liquid and Pencil Eyeliner
6. Prestige Primed & Ready Eye Primer

The foundation is the priciest item I got in this haul...it would have been beaten by the ELDW if I did buy it though LOL.

I got only one item from Watsons.

This thing right here.
I actually love the feeling of this scrub. On the body and on the face, it works wonders XD
Yes, it is abrasive for the face BUT I have pretty thick skin >_>

From Guardian
1. Nexcare Acne Patch x2
2. O'slee Lemon Soda Serum
3. Darlie Expert White Toothpaste
4. Garnier BB Cream

No.2-4 is mainly bought because I saw ads on it.
Yes, I fall for ads.
Damn me.

Haven't used any of them yet (except for the acne patch)

From Super Save and Cindy
Random stuff haul lol.
I needed some stuff for my bathroom.
I got some hair ties, some cheap e.l.f brush dupes...they work well btw.

Tweezers for falsies, eyelid tape (yep, for days my eyes are uneven) and a hairbrush.

The envelopes are for sending giveaway presents.
I started to force myself to draw again...so I bought some sketchbooks.
I dunno why, I have a lot at home but I did it anyway.

Sorry, trees ;-;

BOOKS.
As always, I find myself buying ViVi even though I'm not THAT into fashion :x
I got the Little Black Dress book so I can learn about making dress patterns.
A book about cats? I needed one.

That's all for my haul!
I'm pretty content with the things I got I guess lol.

'til then, take care!

Review: MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer

Hey guys :D
How've you been doing?

Have you joined my latest giveaway? It'd be lovely if you guys would join!

Anyway, let's start with the review.
I'll be reviewing Makeup Academy (MUA)'s Pro-Base Eye Primer.

MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer
Product Information:
A Professional eye primer to make your eyeshadow long lasting, smoothe out the eyelids and prevent creasing. Apply primer to eyelids before makeup application to create a more vibrant eyeshadow colour for long-lasting wear without fading or creasing
This primer contains 7.5ml of product, which is quite a lot for a primer. Product should be used up within 6 months according to the packaging (I'm guessing you can still use it, but the consistency might change). It's quite affordable at £2.50 which is around BND5 once converted. Developed in the UK.

It's really not bad if you think about it. I actually wanted to try the original primer that was cheaper and quite raved, but my mom only found this one.

The primer has a doe-foot applicator like most primers.
It has a pinky brown colour to it.
So, what do I think about this product?
I'm torn to be quite honest.

I like the application, the feel on it. It's easy to spread without tugging or pulling. It's not too oily like some other primers either...but it's not quite crease-free, like it claims.

I've read many reviews raving about the original primer (housed in a black tube) that compared it to Urban Decay's primer. It confuses me why this creased, because I've used many bases that are similar and none of them creased like this!

It creased around the 5 hour mark. Okay, maybe that's good enough for some people.

I generally have problems with creasing with cream based shadow bases, but never these kinds.

The primer is really good with making eyeshadows stick, even some glittery ones.
I tested it with the e.l.f primer and I could see that the MUA one still kept the eyeshadow pretty vibrant. It looked the same when I first applied it.

Here's a swatch test.

Used M.A.C's eyeshadow in Roustabout.
I did two swatches over each.
You could see how it looks like it's sticky and how vibrant it made the eyeshadow look.
The primer also blends transparent, like e.l.f and Urban Decay's original primer. It doesn't really even out the eyelid.

This primer gave me promise but didn't deliver creaseless-ness, which is a shame.

---

PROS:

- Affordable.
- Keeps eyeshadow vibrant for up to 7-8 hours.
- Blends easily.
- Makes eyeshadow colours pop.
- Travel-friendly.
- Generous amount of product.
- Has an applicator.

CONS:

- Only available online or at selected stores.
- Eyeshadow creased around the 4-5 hour mark.
- Some may find the applicator to not be hygienic.
- May not suit oily eyelids (I have them!)

Rating: 3.5/5 (It's good, but not great. I'd have loved it more if it didn't crease!)

Will I buy this again?

Nope. Unfortunately I have another tube. LOL. Maybe I can make it work as a primer before I use concealer on blemishes. I'll see how that goes!

Do I recommend this?

If you don't have super oily eyelids I guess. It's really good at keeping your eyeshadow vibrant, that's for sure. I don't know if they still sell the cheaper alternative though.

Where can you find this?

For international people, you can find it here.
For those in the UK, you can find it at Superdrug too.

---

As always, I hope you find this helpful.

Please, tell me, if you've tried the Pro-Base and also the original one: Which one is better??

Tell me in the comments below what you think of the primer, if you'd buy it or what.
I'd love to know.

'til then, take care!

Review: Catrice Cosmetics Made To Stay Longlasting Eyeshadow

Hi guys, how're you all?
It's the 6th day of Ramadhan and I've gained back a kilo or two. FML.
I blame the sweet stuff my family brought back from the UK (and also lack of exercise D:)

Well enough of picturing me getting fatter.

Today I'll be doing a review of the Catrice Made To Stay Longlasting Eyeshadow in the shade 'Copper & Gabbana'.

Catrice Cosmetics Made To Stay Longlasting Eyeshadow
Product Information:
METAL FINISH
Highly-pigmented color for an ultimate metallic shine. The creamy texture is easy to apply, won’t settle in the crease of your eyelid, doesn’t smudge and lasts and lasts and…
These cream eyeshadows are the equivalent of essence's Long Lasting Eyeshadow, except they are more posh in design. While essence's is housed in a plastic jar, the Catrice cream shadows are housed in a glass jar, with a plastic cap. It does not contain an anti-drying cap but the product stays moist. There are 3 other shades available. They contain only 5g of product, 0.5g less than essence. Product should be used up within 12 months, and they cost BND5.90 at Paloma.

Shade 080 'Copper & Gabbana'

'Copper & Gabbana' is a beautiful copper, with some noticeable golden shimmers and some multicoloured glitter. It swatches beautifully, and compliments my skin tone very well. The product itself is quite easier to apply compared to essence's. You don't need to dig your finger in to get a good amount of product. It's almost a mousse-y consistency, it's soft and it blends easily. Despite it being easier to blend, it also sets faster than Color Tattoos. Once it sets, it refuses to fall for insistent rubbing.

A softer consistency compared to essence and theBalm.
Almost similar to the Maybelline Color Tattoo.
Picture taken with flash.

Lasting power is quite good. It lasts 5-6 hours without creasing. There's minor fading but other than that, it's awesome. There's also no noticeable fallout despite the glitter.

I also tried to remove it with just water and it won't move at all!

I'd love to try it out for a longer time...however, I have a big issue with this product.

I'm allergic to the the formula D:

It swatched fine on my hand but once I put it on my lids, I felt like removing it!
It kind of tightened and it was uncomfortable, but I had to soldier on to try it out.

Such a pretty shade.
Taken with flash.

Thankfully it didn't make my eyes swollen, but I don't like pain associated with applying makeup!
I tried giving it another chance but it just hurt.

It's a shame because I love the colour and the fact that it lasts a lot longer than the Color Tattoo, I thought it'd be a nice alternative.

This is also my first Catrice product! Such a shame!

---

PROS:

-Lasts about 5-6 hours without setting/without primer (Could last a lot longer, I believe)
-Works as a good base for eyeshadows.
-Affordable.
-Locally available.
-Waterproof.
-Blends so easily.
-Comparable to other drugstore, even some high end brands!
-Sets fast and doesn't budge.
-No glitter fallout.
-Product doesn't dry up easily.

CONS:

-I'm allergic to the formula.
-A bit heavier for travel.
-Limited colour selection (only 4 available on the website).

Rating: 4/5 (I love the colour and blend-ability but unfortunately I'm allergic)

Will I buy this again?

Unfortunately, no. If I wasn't allergic, maybe. But I have other cream eyeshadows that work as well.

Do I recommend this?

Yes, and hopefully you're not allergic. It's a good alternative to the Maybelline Color Tattoos (Locally available for BND10) but it has limited colour selection.

Where can you find this?

At Paloma, you can buy this at an affordable price.
Catrice is getting more available worldwide too! It's a nice alternative to other drugstore brands.

---

Hope you found this review helpful.
I feel kinda bittersweet about this product.

Recently buying this, falling in love with it, then to find out I have an allergy from it.

I'm not sure if it's just this one shade, but I don't want to risk it.

Have you had a product you love but can't use due to allergy?
Leave it in the comments below!

'til then, take care!

P.S: I'll be uploading my Pre-Loved Products Blogsale after this. I'm selling this cream eyeshadow there.

Review: Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden

Hi guys :D
I've been neglecting my blog for a bit u.u; I'm sorry.

Ramadan has started, so happy fasting to all Muslims :D
I hope my stomach doesn't act up during this month!

Anyway~
Going back to the topic, I'm gonna be reviewing Urban Decay's Primer Potion (UDPP) in 'Eden'!
I keep reviewing eyeshadow bases LOL.

Urban Decay Primer Potion in 'Eden' (The packaging)
Product Information:
This is it – THE most legendary primer in the beauty industry. Eyeshadow Primer Potion is coveted by makeup artists and makeup junkies alike because it guarantees more vibrant eyeshadow that lasts for 24 hours and NEVER CREASES! Once you experience its powers (plus how smoothly it glides on – an added bonus) you'll never want to live without it. Original formula dries down invisibly, while Eden, Sin and Greed are shades that can also be worn as shadows or highlighters!

Now this extraordinary elixir comes in an easy-to-squeeze tube so you can control how much you apply. You also get more primer in every tube – 11 ml instead of the original 10!

Fill Weight: 11ml e 0.37 US fl oz
UDPP in 'Eden' (Front)
This is Urban Decay's #1 Best Selling product. It used to have a more unique packaging but the new squeeze tube is more user-friendly. They claim that this primer potion stays crease-free for 24 HOURS! Has anybody tried that claim out?

This is priced at USD20, and is RM75 at Sephora Malaysia. I bought this from there (through my older sis). That's equivalent to BND30 at the time I bought it. It contains 11ml of product, and a little goes a long way, so it would last you a while.

Other than this shade, the UDPP comes in 3 other shades: Original (Nude - Dries Invisibly), Greed (Shimmery Gold) and Sin (Champagne Shimmer).

'Eden', the one I have, is a 'nude matte finish' primer. It's a nude/skin tone finish, and works to even out your lid colour.
UDPP in 'Eden' (Back)

As a primer, it helps make your eyeshadows more vibrant, and makes it stick, hence it'd last longer. It is waterproof. If you're wearing shimmery shadows, the shimmer will disappear if your rub it but the colour will stay. It stays crease-free for me but it's really not my favourite eye primer It actually creases on me faster than my cheap essence one. Even with Urban Decay shadows. **

SWATCHES
Used a M.A.C shadow
I like it, but I DON'T love it.

Here's why:

It's SOOOOO hard to BLEND! It's almost impossible for me.
If it's already so hard to blend on the hand, imagine blending it on your lids.
My lids didn't enjoy the treatment even though it is a good primer.

What is this patchy mess??
UD claims that it glides on smoothly - well, NOT EDEN!

I'm pretty sure the other shades would be smoother.

It's a shame because there are not many primers with a nude matte finish, I'll tell you that. I do have some primers with this finish but really, there are not many primers that can even out your lid.

This was my first Urban Decay product, so I feel a bit sad. I reach out more to my other primers over this one!
That's the reason why I'm gonna sell this on my Pre-Loved Products Blogsale.

---

Here are the Pros and Cons:

PROS:

-Has 3 other shades.
-Makes eyeshadow vibrant.
-Waterproof (they don't claim it as such, but it is).
-Using a normal facial cleanser will not remove the primer, only the eyeshadow itself.
-Doesn't crease **
-Evens out eyelid colour.
-Eyeshadow sticks well to the primer.
-Now comes in a convenient squeeze-y tube.
-Has 11ml of product.
-A little goes a long way.

CONS:

-Expensive.
-Hard to blend.
-Not locally available (*).
-Creases on me faster than my essence primer. At 4-5 hours**
-Only available at certain online shops or at Sephora.

*You CAN find it locally but it's sold for BND50+ at Shop@Sarah's I think (it's not an authorised reseller) OR you can also buy the replica from a seller for BND18. Mind you, they claim it's original. Some comparisons say it works about the same.

Rating: 4/5 (Blending is a B*tch)

Will I buy this again?

No. At least not this shade. I might try the original one.

Do I recommend this?

It depends. It's so hard to blend for me. But it IS a good primer.

Where can you find this?

Urban Decay's official site (for those who live in the US), they also teamed up with another site to provide for international customers but it's a bit complex?
At a Sephora branch.
Some authorised or unauthorised online sites.
Locally at Shop@Sarah's at limited quantities.

I hope you found this review helpful!
If you did, leave a comment.

Have you tried this?
Do you like it? Do you hate it?

Review: essence Long Lasting Cream Eyeshadows

Hi guys :D
Today I have a review of the essence Long Lasting Cream Eyeshadows!

I'll be reviewing two shades, one is from the 'stay all day' line and the other one is from the limited edition line ('circus circus').

The shades are 'COPPY RIGHT' and 'IT'S MAGIC'.

stay all day long lasting eyeshadow in '01 COPPY RIGHT'
circus circus long lasting eyeshadow in '01 IT'S MAGIC'
Product Information:

These cream eyeshadows are housed in a plastic jar and contain 5.5g of product, which is actually more  than other cream eyeshadows I have (other than the Tony Moly one but that doesn't list the product weight). Product should be used within 12 months, which is same with theBalm -this does dry up quite easily similarly. This product is priced at BND5.90 and can be bought from Paloma.

It's separated from the sides already.
Taken with flash.
'COPPY RIGHT' actually looks like a taupe-y colour rather than a coppery one. It's an eyeshadow that contains an acceptable amount of shimmer and would most likely compliment any skin tone. I don't have a shade like this in my cream eyeshadow collection so it's a nice addition. There's a faint purple pigment in this shade. Works well on its own and as a base for neutral or smokey looks.

It's a bit hard in the jar, so you need to kind of dig into it a bit. It applies patchy but is very pigmented.   It sets very fast so if you want to blend, make sure to do it fast. Once it sets, it won't budge!

Taken with flash.

As for 'IT'S MAGIC', it's a shimmery gold shade. Gold would definitely compliment many skin tones well, and it's quite different from 'Base Hit Kit'. This is a lot easier to work with than COPPY RIGHT and applies more smoother too. As with the other shade, this sets very fast. This works well as a base or on its own.

Both of these shades, last about 5-6 hours on me without creasing. The colour would fade a bit but it's still fine. I've never tried this with an eye primer because I don't need it. It holds up well on its own. Mind you, I didn't even powder my oily eyelids before I applied it. I've also tried to see if it'd last with sweat so I did try it while running on the treadmill.

I say with a bit of sweat, it still holds up well, about 4-5 hours!

The colours actually remind me of two colours from Urban Decay's Theodora Palette. They swatch a  bit like Bewitch and the gold half of Spell!

Swatches: (L) COPPY RIGHT, (R) IT'S MAGIC.
Taken with flash.
To be fair, I've never tested it as long as theBalm but i think it'd hold because the texture is about the same. I guess due to it being harder in texture, it holds up well on my oily lids.

I put it up to the test with a Maybelline Color Tattoo and this lasted longer for me. Both didn't crease but the Color Tattoo faded a lot more. Plus, this is more pigmented.

The Color Tattoo is creamier, yes, but somehow I'd reach out more for this.

I've never used this as an eyeliner so I can't say much about it.

---

PROS:

-Lasts about 5-6 hours (may even stretch 8 hours but I've never tried it for that long) without setting/without primer.
-Works well as a base for eyeshadows to stick to.
-Affordable.
-Locally available.
-Sweat-proof.
-Comparable to more acclaimed drugstore brands.
-Has more product than other brand cream eyeshadows.
-Travel friendly due to it's light weight.
-Sets very fast and doesn't budge.

CONS:

-Applies quite patchily.
-Colours are limited.
-Hard to blend.
-Product dries up easily.
-Not creamy.
-I don't like the shimmers as much.

Rating: 5/5 (Comparable to my HG in a sense that it doesn't budge, it gets its rating due to its affordable price)

Will I buy this again?

Yes, but not now. I have too many cream eyeshadows. In fact, I don't reach for COPPY RIGHT that much. I might sell it on my pre-loved items' blog sale!

Do I recommend this?

Yes, but only if you don't mind a product that's not too creamy. You can make it creamier with alcohol maybe but yeah, it'll dry up easily.

Where can you find this?

In Brunei, you can find this at Paloma at an affordable price.
In the US, you can find this at Ulta.
Everywhere else, maybe drugstores or even online shops!

I hope you found this review helpful :)

Review: essence 'I ♥ STAGE Eyeshadow Base'

Hi guys :D
I missed blogging ( ;-; ) My net died suddenly for a few days!!
Who'd have known? The kittens caused it!

I was looking at my stash and like, of all eyeshadow bases I have, this one, I've been reaching for a lot more!

essence 'I ♥ STAGE Eyeshadow Base'
Product Information:

A skin-tone eyeshadow base from essence. It is an 'eyeshadow base for a long-lasting eye make-up result. Ready for stage'. It contains 4ml of product and lasts for 6 months after opening. Made in Poland. Price: BND4.90 (at Paloma) *It's BND3.90 now*
For comparison, locally available primers are priced at:
BND10~19.90 (even more, actually) at the Korean cosmetic outlets (Tony Moly, Holika Holika, Etude House, etc.)

---

Onto the review~

At first, I was 'eh' about this eyeshadow base.
Was it as good as my e.l.f? Was it as good as my HG (theBalm Cream Eyeshadow)?

My first impression of it, it was so-so.

I wasn't wow-ed by it, but it was okay.
Application was nice, product blended well on the lid, eyeshadow colours become more vibrant, etc.
But I didn't know why I didn't fall in love.

For the price though, it was a steal!!

A doe-foot applicator for ease of use.
For a while it wasn't something I was reaching for so I lent it to my sis.
When I found out she wasn't using it, and when I just remembered that I HAD a skin-tone eyeshadow base, I asked for it back and gave it another chance.

Then, I fell in love.
After comparing it with my other bases, this product was quite good!

I have a LOT of bases, you see.
This is like e.l.f but a lot more liquidy and has some skin-tone pigments to even out your lid colour if you have veins or dark lids.

Product Swatch.
It has a mild milky foundation scent (which I despise) but you can only smell it if you SMELL it. I gagged a bit lol.

It's very light and sturdy, and quite travel-friendly.

With this primer, my eyeshadows stay crease-free for 5-6 hours *It lasted my whole Miri trip, that's about 12 hours!! NO CREASING* Mind you, my eyelids are super oily!
This isn't heavy duty like my HG but for a cheap primer, THAT IS GOOD.

Heck, even in airconditioned rooms it can last about 8 hours!

Used Sleek's Au Naturel in 'Noir'.
I piled on for the without primer :/ it was bad.

For a skin-tone base, this is my favourite by far.
It beats UD's 'Eden' and also my M.A.C Paint Pot in 'Soft Ochre'.
Heck, this lasts longer than the Maybelline Color Tattoo >_>; maybe the colours I opened are just BAD.

I love to use my Paint Pot with this, just to add a bit more oomph.

While I was cleaning my wrist, I actually had to add a bit of force to remove the swatch with the primer!! It got a bit red.

---

Anyway~

PROS:

-Super affordable.
-Locally available.
-Eyeshadow stays crease-free for 5-6 hours (even 8 hours)
-Blends easily, doesn't tug on the skin (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, EDEN!!)
-Comparable to more pricy brands.
-Has a good applicator.
-Eyeshadow colours pop more.
-Travel friendly.
-Evens out eyelid colour.

CONS:

-Only available at Paloma.
-Cheaper abroad.
-May not suit some eyelids.
-May not be available readily some places.
-Some may find applicator to not be hygienic.
-Product can separate.

Rating: 5/5 (Love this product, okay? It shits over other raved products and it's freakin' affordable)

Will I buy this again?

HECK YES. With all my heart, I'd sell my Eden and get 5-6 more of these LOL.

Do I recommend this?

This is the tricky part. People I know don't really like this product XD; so I dunno!! Yes, if you don't mind shelling out a bit of money (Just a fraction of other primer prices). Eyelids differ though.

Where can you find this?

Locally, you can find it at Paloma :D
Abroad, maybe drugstores. You can even find it online, I believe.

---

I hope you find this helpful!
If you've tried the product, do you love it? Do you hate it?

Tell me in the comments below :D
How much is it in your country?

'til then, take care!!

Is this appropriate? Would you accept this policy?

Hey guys, I just wanna bring this issue up because it rubbed me the wrong way.
I went to Miri today, to look for clothes for my new single, amongst other things.

Curious, I went to SaSa to see if the new eye primer by theBalm is in-stock. It was. Along with Meet Matt(e) Nude which I didn't buy.

theBalm "Put A Lid On It" Eye Primer (RM70)
So, here's the deal.

I wanted to buy the primer, so I asked the SA, "Is there a tester?"
"No, it's new." and I was like "Oh."

Then she did something I didn't expect her to do.
She said, "You can try it out." and proceeded to open it. Just like that.

I thought it was gonna be a tester or something.

I didn't ask for her to open it but she went ahead and did so.
I'm guessing she wanted to sell the product but wtf.

Even as a customer I wouldn't want to ask an employee to open the product UNLESS they intended to make it a tester.

She kinda urged me to try out the product she squeezed out of the tube.

Hesitantly, I did.

I think I couldn't hide my displeasure on my face but she was all smiles.

Not knowing how to feel, or what to think, I said, "I'll take it...(?)"

And she proceeded to put the used tube back in and into my basket.

Did I expect her to do that? Nope.
I expected her to turn that into a tester and give me a new product.
But at the back of my head, I did think:

"What if I didn't want to buy the product? Would she put it back on the rack?"

I kept it to myself as I shopped for other things.

I also asked about the Meet Matt(e) Nude, which didn't have a tester. The same SA asked the other SAs if there was a tester OR if she could open it. It was taped shut, that was a relief since I've experienced "swatched palettes" from them before.

You can read that here.

--

I went to see my sister after that and told her about what I experienced.
She was like "Wtf? Why did you buy it??"

"Because I wanted it. But I didn't expect that."

And then I went ahead and asked my mom and dad what they thought.

At the end of it, I decided to go back and ask the saleslady because it was constantly on my mind.

"Hi, I wanna ask something about the product before"

"Oh, you can't exchange or return it." She said, with a smile. Funnily, while she was saying this, at the back, they had a "Return and Exchange Policy" poster at the back.

"That's not the case..."

It was hard for me to word it out. Am I supposed to use English or Malay? LOL.

So I went ahead and asked her.

"The product before, should I didn't want to buy it, would you make it a tester?"

She just said, "Nope. We'll put it back on display since only a little product was used."

I cringed.

"Really?"

"Yep, I'll put it on display at the very back." she just said normally.

"But isn't that wrong? Is that this shop's policy?"

At that point, red flags were everywhere in my head. How many items I've bought that didn't have a seal, nor tester, were tested out by other people? Do other shops do this too?

"Before we sell something, we'd show the product."

And I was like "Holy shit, so they DO know palettes are swatched and stuff??"

I brought up the swatched palette story. It seemed like a normal thing to her.
And mind you, they sell it for full price.

I think at that time, she was on to my worries. "The product you bought just arrived last night. You're the first one to use it."

At that point, I was sickened.
I felt sick to the stomach.

I said a quick and awkward "Thank you" and went to my dad.

He said, "It's their strategy. It's how business is."

My sis went, "Ewww"

And I'm like.... "Can you imagine how many things that I might have bought from there that's been used? If it didn't have a tester?"

EWWWW.

SO YEAH.

What do YOU guys think?

Like, seriously.

I love SaSa because they supply my favourite brand, theBalm.

But wtf is this shittttt.

Seriously, should I write to SaSa Malaysia about this matter?
Or do you guys think it's okay??

EDIT: I've sent an e-mail.

Seriously!

I might not wanna buy from SaSa Miri anymore.

Sigh.

Take care, guys.

It's just a ONE DAY sale! This is the site!!
If you have USD40 to spare of international shipping, I say go for it ( ;w; )

I don't, unfortunately.
Maybe. I DUNNO.

I have no chance to think it through, personally.

Since I love the brand's eyeshadow and creaseless cream shadows, here are the ones I recommend!

I have 2 of these, remember which ones?
NUDE'tude is popular with a lot of people! It's USD18 after discount.
I do like it but it's not my go-to palette.

It has nice wearable colours and the eyeshadows are buttery (at least the one I had before my exchange)

BalmJovi is a nice palette, unfortunately it's too bulky for everyday use.
It has their popular highlighter and blusher in this palette too.

If you're new to theBalm, BalmJovi is nice :D It's USD19.75 after discount.

As for the shadylady palettes, I have my eye on Vol.1, but I've swatched Vol.3 in shop.
Buttery, lovely shadows.

I think I might prefer it over Urban Decay :O

I'll see if I'll buy it later or not.

HG Shadow Base, right here.
These babies, I'd recommend forever.
I'm actually tempted to buy Base Hit Kit again.

They never crease on me, they stay put and bright for 12 hours (for me)!!

I only have 2 of these, the pink and the gold. I LOVE the golden one.

After discount, these babies are USD9 each.

If you just wanna try the texture of the shadows, do consider the single shadows~

Look at these pretty babies!
USD8 after discount.

I have Mischievous Marissa and I LOVE it.

These are beautiful shadows. If I had the money, I'd buy them.

I really love their shadows.

theBalm even has skincare and haircare!
Can you believe it?

Anyway, I'm actually feeling under the weather and my mom is having an operation later, so I should sleep.

If you do decide to buy from them, do tell me what you decided to order :D

Take care then~

Forget My Birthday Post, Here's My Makeup Haul!

Lol the title is just...lol. But honestly, I'd rather share photos than write a full blogpost. Oops.
I just got home yesterday night. It was tiring but I'm glad I came home and everything came home safe. It's like "THAT'S FRAGILE" all the way.

Anyway, I'm just excited to share the makeup/skincare I got.
And one re-buy that I regret not hoarding lol (it's not makeup XD)

I'll also list out the prices (Yay~) because I kept all the receipts. I think.

Most of the items aren't planned, only some are. Obviously. Some items I didn't manage to get too though, but I'm content!

Here's the haul!

On the first day, we went to Pavillion KL, I had to bite my lips as we walked past Sephora at Starhill Gallery. Now, that's what I call patience!

Not in this is my makeup remover wipes from SaSa btw.

I got a few things not in my list there:

TBS Cranberry Joy Fragrance Oil (RM25)
TBS Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner (RM39)
TBS Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Golden Girl (RM38)
They had this buy 3 and get 20% off promotion so yeah, three things.
I should have just bought three of the cranberry oil because I LOVE THAT.
And it's limited edition, so yeah :x

Golden Girl is a pretty colour, swatched buttery smooth. Just love.
Does it justify the price? Hm. Not so much LOL but the price point is similar to that of theBalm.

Next is this and a facial sauna (FINALLY)

elite Starlight Eyeshadow in Matt Choco (RM17)
This wasn't planned at all but I loved it when I swatched it...was actually planning to get PeriPera or Clio from Watsons but gdi, the testers were killing them for me >_>;

You see, I've always wanted a home facial sauna, and Watsons selling their house brand sauna for friggin RM39.90! Who wouldn't want that???

Moving on~
Stupid Pavillion got Etude House so I strayed there.

BAM.

Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Balm in #03 Sand Beige (RM119.90)
Wonder Pore Freshener (RM79.90)
I've always eyed the Baby Glow but I didn't double check the price before I bought it. Rest assured, it's cheaper in Brunei >_>;

But I got this because it as Buy 1 Free 1 Promotion. Of course you pay for the more expensive item. I should've gotten both the Baby Glow balms just because it was pricy LOL.

But I've always wanted to try out the Wonder Pore Freshener, so yeah...

I just saw it as paying for both products rather than a BOGO LOL.

My mom was at Coach for a long time >_>; until it rained before we managed to go to Sephora.

I didn't manage to stare in awe because I went in with a mission:

Get in, Get it and Go.
The Three Gs you need to abide by if you don't wanna spend too much.

So yeah, I rushed in, paid no attention to anything else other than the Urban Decay, Benefit and TooFaced aisle.

Looked around the Benefit World Famous Neutrals and BAM, I got it.

Real reason why I wanted it is because of these babies:

Discontinued (old packaging at least) Creaseless Cream Shadows
Then I moved on to Urban Decay (although it was the first thing you see when you get in)

I asked for the Theodora Palette and BAM, got it.
And then had a moment to choose between Naked and Naked 2.
Naked 2 won. GOT IT.

I went to TooFaced to swatch but I wasn't majorly impressed (or rather, I didn't want to be impressed, to save money)

SEPHORA
UD Naked 2 Palette (RM179)
UD Theodora Palette (RM180)
benefit World Famous Neutrals in Most Glamorous Nudes Ever (RM115)
Theodora is more pricey because well, it's limited edition and well, new.
Glinda was there too, being all pretty and shit but I told myself NO, because I didn't like the colours as much.

It wouldn't look good on me.

Oh, and spot that ziplock bag?
That's the UD Basic Launch GWP Promo set.
Got it from buying UD I guess.
I'm guessing everyone got the same thing (also guessing it's not the selling like hotcakes ones)

The Insides.
-2 Full-sized UD Vintage Eyeshadows in Midinight Cowboy and Goddess.
-2 Sample-sized UD 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Electric and Covet.
-1 Full-sized Clean & Sober Oil-Free Makeup Remover
-2 Sample Sachets of Primer Potions in Sin and Original
-1 Sample-sized UD Skyscraper Multi Benefit Mascara

(as I'm typing this, Midnight Cowboy fell from it's home, and now I have glitter everywhere)

Not sure of the value but a lot, I guess.
I'm quite happy with the samples except that the two colours are meh.
One was broken (Midnight Cowboy) and one was not the smoothest (Goddess).

I fixed Midnight Cowboy as soon as I stepped back into my room though, it was Glitter Mania.

See that mess around? Yeah, that's from Midnight Cowboy LOL. (This was before I fixed it)
I loved the colour and payoff of MC but the glitter was just too much D: as I fixed it, it was everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

Goddess is pretty in the pan, not that pretty on its own but gorgeous over a black base.
I tried it. Not on my eyes yet though.

That same night, we went to Parkson and uh, oops:

In my wishlist, but not planned (RM19.90)
I wanted Tenacious Teal but no place had it!
I got this at Parksons, and I also saw it at Caring Pharmacy.

Didn't see it at Watsons, Guardian or SaSa D:

A nice salesgirl also uh, co-erced me into buying this one:

Max Factor Max Effect Dip-In Eyeshadow in Ultra Violet (RM36)
It's pretty, but I really had no plans to buy it ):
At least I know I don't have anything similar!

I really wanted this so I got it~

CLIO Professional Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner Mini Set (RM51.90 N/P: RM79.90)
All the testers I tried everywhere sucked.
I nearly didn't get this BUT the place that had this, the ONLY SaSa I found that had this had good testers!!

And I liked it, so I bought it LOL.

...last but not least:

My first M.A.C item!

M.A.C Paint Pot in Soft Ochre (RM72)
How pretty o.o
I actually wanted to NOT get this.
I wanted to buy NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone instead but unfortunately Sephora ran out of stock.

This was actually bought in the airport, KLIA.
It's normally RM75 I believe, but it was less RM3 in the airport. Weird huh?

Or maybe it's just this colour.

Or I might be wrong.

Mom got this for me. She also got me the Naked 2 Palette.

I didn't buy much (to my standards), I'm actually proud that I stuck by to some of the things I wanted to buy and refused to buy other things when I set my eyes on something.

Except for a few unplanned things, I'm proud that I didn't go crazy at Sephora nor at SaSa.

I'm learning. Slowly.

Unfortunately most of the things I bought are expensive...
So yeah ):

That's the first part of my KL Haul btw lol.

So yeah!

Take care!

P.S: I post most of my hauls and stuff on my Instagram usually, but since I mixed it with personal vaining and stuff, following me is a choice lol. You either click the tab up there or just click here :D

Perks of March + New Live Cover!

Yes, yes, I know.

The other day I was like 'Eff March!'
And now I'm like Perks of March???

But yeah, I think about how childish I was >_>; I can be childish I guess.
Well, it's hormones okay? I think I have imbalanced hormones D:

It's not my fault my March was ruined last year D:
I'm just afraid this March would suck too, okay??

So yeah, anyway~
I wanted to go to Yayasan last night, my main reason was to go to Holika-Holika and browse for some guitar accessories. Well, that WAS the plan.

But before that, while I was getting ready, Shyla, the cat that owns me decided to molest Macky again :/

Yesh, I was replying MUA.
What's with cats and technology??

"YOU SHALL NOT PASS"
Seriously, she erased my reply to MUA. LOL.
Thank God for Command + Z~ (or something)

Anyway~ I decided to try emulate Marina's makeup for the night~

Primadonna/HTBAH Inspired Look I guess
I decided to draw a beauty mark instead of the heart when I went out but when I decide to record, I painted the heart on my cheek XD

I wore a plaited dress, black tights and a grey....outer clothing of sorts.
Forgot to take a photo, sorry D:
I decided to wear my highest wedged shoes.

Bad choice.

We decided to eat out. I had Korean of course. Harhar.
And a weird looking cinnamon roll.
With Mint Milk Shake? Or something minty.

I dunno the name D: it has some Korean Rice Noodles, gyoza and chicken patties. I do not like the rice texture D:
This was yummy but I guess too much ice?
For a dollar, not bad :O
The food was gooooood.
XD I didn't throw up for once!

After dinner, I decided to go to The Face Shop.
To get my birthday vouchers and a gift.

Well, unfortunately my name wasn't listed :/ That's why they didn't text me!
But that's okay lol.

I still got my birthday perk!

I bought 2 face masks and a hair serum. For the birthday pack gift, I got two face masks too LOL and a tiny sample of the Rice Cleanser Foam.

So, I migrated to Holika-Holika, greeted Sharon XD and browsed.
Too bad they didn't have the birthday gift ready!
HMPH.

But yeah, I got one gold eyeliner (it's soooo pretty and creamy), one jumbo eye pencil in this beautiful green and two face masks, again LOL. This time I got some samples :p

I gave one facemask to my sis XD
Since we were waiting for my brother and sister, I decided to browse around at Holika Holika while my parents talked with Sharon.

Sharon didn't recognize me D:

She turned to my mom asking where "the daughter who loves makeup was" and I was like, "I'm right here...."

"EHHH?? Really? You look different bah!"

"Dyed your hair kah? Last time your hair was black!"

"You're looking more Korean now."

Which I countered with, "I'm actually aiming for a Japanese look." LOL

But to be honest, my makeup last night wasn't Japanese nor Korean inspired, so yeah.
I'm guessing she referred to the clothes too.

SO YEAH.

When I got home, I fed the cats, and then I proceeded to add the Heart on my cheek...and....

This was the result!

( =A= ) The only part I like is the break XD
But it was fun, recording this.

I never tried recording with Snowball that far from me.
It actually worked out fine.

And yes, despite the extreme reverb >_>;
It IS live lol.

I friggin' forgot to remove the reverb.

But yeah. Now I'm tired.

So yeah, good morning.

Take care!

Swatches of some cream shadows I own will be up later :)
