Collective Haul (Luxola, US, UK) + Giveaway Sneak Peek

I've too many hauls lately but I can't help it that it's all around the same time xD;
I might as well make a collective haul post than separate them, y'know?

So, the first thing I received around last week were my Zoeva brush sets!
This was definitely not planned, but I was lucky.

- Zoeva Vegan Face Set
- Zoeva Complete Eye Set
- Samples
I bought this before they decided to not have them discounted anymore, so it was really a lucky buy. Unfortunately I didn't get the most expensive one ( oAo ) that complete set of the complete ones. Not that I had the money for that one.

I haven't used them...simply because I'm quite rough with my brushes (well, not really) and I don't really know how to deal with more expensive brushes! I'm honestly very weird with things.

But I can say that they're soooo soft and soooo well made AND well packaged! They come in a bag with another bag! It feels much more luxurious than Sigma, I feel.

I'm definitely gonna have the ultimate complete set for my hantaran LOL.

Next up, we have my Sephora and Walgreens haul.
My sis just came back to visit from the US.

You'd be surprised at how little makeup I asked for.

Well, it has something to do with weight though.

- Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation
- Too Faced 5 Star Favorites
- Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot
- Samples
Originally, the samples were supposed to go to my sister but she's like "Y'know, just take it. You like trying out things". My sis has LOVELY skin :O maybe it's from giving birth and all that. She did say she used an Aveeno cleanser.

I've tried the Rimmel foundation twice already. One thing I'd like to point out:

Excuse the dry fingers (UGH)
When I first opened it, I saw this.
It was clearly swatched/used.

LOL. Man, American drugstores are scary.

I just went ahead and sanitized it.

I got the shade 203 True Beige. It fits me well, it is a little bit more pink. I haven't used it without a base, so I dunno if it'd oxidize. I do like how it looks like on my skin! Does it keep me matte? Not really, but so far I do like it.

Haven't tried the Too Faced stuff yet but I have used the Benefit blushes.

Well, some of them. Rockateur and Bella Bamba are immediate faves on the face. Hoola I used...it was okay. I tried the brush it came with. SUCKS.

It just stabbed my Hoola ;-;

Last but not least~
This arrived yesterday!

MUA Shade 12
I've been waiting for these for a while!
It took a month to arrive, but at least it did! Still can't get over my lost packages from the UK/US. That one MUA order from last year that never came, a whole lot of products. My lost Vice palette (second hand), twice sent. UGH.

But anyway, one is for me....and one is for a giveaway!

The reason for me buying this shade:

THE DUOCHROME!

It's not as strong as I thought it would be, when swatched on the hand and on my mom's eyes...but with a base, it was so nice.

A dupe for MAC's Club or Blue Brown pigment? I'm not so sure.

But yeah, that's about it.
I've been slowly trying most of the things I got. Some I liked, some I loved...some I'm 'eh' about.

So, have you tried any of these?
What do you think of them?

I'd love to know :)

'til then, take care!

Review: Rimmel London Stay Matte Longlasting Pressed Powder

Hi guys :)
It's been a while since I wrote another review.

Today, I have for you guys a review for the much loved...
Rimmel London Stay Matte Longlasting Pressed Powder!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Longlasting Pressed Powder
I have this in the shade '001 Transparent'.

The product claims to:

- Have up to 5 hours of natural shine control with natural minerals.
- Help minimise the appearance of pores.

This powder contains 14g of product and is housed in a plastic case with no mirror and no applicator. There are 5 or 6 other shades available, depending on where you get it from. It is made in England and should be used up within 30 months. My mom got this from Superdrug for £3.99. This powder is also dermatologically tested.

Yep. It looks like this now.

INGREDIENTS
TALC, MICA, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, POLYETHYLENE, PETROLATUM, PHENYL TRIMETHICONE, DIMETHICONE, POLYBUTENE, ISOSTEARYL NEOPENTANOATE, ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, METHYLPARABEN, COCOS NUCIFERA (COCONUT) OIL, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM/MINERAL OIL/HUILE MINERALE, PROPYLPARABEN, ZINC OXIDE, PARFUM/FRAGRANCE, ALOE BARBADENSIS, POLYSORBATE 20, BHT, BUTYLPHENYL METHYLPROPIONAL, BENZYL SALICYLATE, CITRONELLOL, HEXYL CINNAMAL, HYDROXYISOHEXYL 3-CYCLOHEXENE CARBOXALDEHYDE, LINALOOL, BUTYLPARABEN. [May Contain/Peut Contenir/+/-: TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891), IRON OXIDES (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), ULTRAMARINES (CI 77007).
I've been using this powder since last year and I have barely made a dent! I've used it with a fluffy brush and also with a sponge to set my makeup, or to use it as a light matte finish over sunscreen and concealer.

Barely made a dent.

Swatched on the finger, it has a light off-white hue to it, but when blended to the hand, it just disappears. The powder itself feels smooth to the touch, and quite soft.

It swatches off-white.

Swatched on the back of my hand, it just blurs out the skin a little, giving it a matte smooth finish, minimising the small fine lines on my hand.

Using it a finishing powder over my oily T-zone, I don't feel like it does prevent my makeup from budging. The shine control does NOT last up to 5 hours. Maybe on me, it lasts 2 to 3 hours, depending on what my base makeup is. It does help set my concealer quite well. It does work well as a blotting powder.

I don't experience it accentuating my dry flaky skin (from dried up acne), or accentuating the pores. It does help minimise my pore quite well when I'm not wearing a base (just sunscreen and moisturiser).

I also feel like the packaging is quite cheap. There are times where I thought I lost the cover. Bringing it around to touch up is also hard because there are no applicators (or a separate compartment for it). I do somehow feel like a mirror would be good.

For the price though, you can't go wrong. It's like you're just paying for the product itself, so that's good.

In some ways, storing this is easy due to the packaging. It IS quite compact.

Unfortunately, it just doesn't really work to control the shine :(

---

PROS:

- Affordable.
- There's a transparent shade, useful for just setting your makeup.
- Helps even out my skin-tone if I'm just using sunscreen.
- Sets concealers well.
- Very lightweight.
- Removes shine.
- Minimises pores and fine lines.
- Does not clog pores.

CONS:

- Not locally available.
- Cheap packaging.
- No mirror.
- No applicator.
- Limited shades (if you want some colour)
- Does NOT control shine for longer than 2 to 3 hours for me.
- Does not prevent my makeup base from smearing.

Rating: 3.5/5 (I enjoy using it, but I wished it was a lot better)

Will I buy this again?

Probably not, because it lasts a long time and it doesn't control my shine well.
I do have a backup though lol.

Do I recommend this?

Maybe for normal skin. I personally don't think it keeps my face matte long enough for me to recommend it.

I do prefer it over my theBalm Sexy Mama though because the texture stays smooth (will be explained when I do the review for this lol)

Where can you find this?

I'm not sure if you can buy this locally but it is available online.

---

Hopefully that was helpful!

Have you tried this? How did it work for you?

Does it help control your oil?

'til then, take care!

Products I've Been Loving! (Makeup)

Hi guys! I have so many products I've been using recently, sometimes I can't even remember!

I think I should do a separate one for skincare, but one product sneaked into this post LOL. I was taking a pic on Instagram and I noticed that it can't fit all my faves! I won't talk about the skincare product here I guess.

Anyway, here are the products:

Love these!
1. theBalm "Nude'tude Palette"

- I've been using this palette a lot recently! I've barely made a dent though, because you know what? A little goes a long way! My fave shades are Snobby, Selfish and Sexy!

2. essence "Stay Natural Concealer"

- This is a recent favourite. It's not super long lasting, but for a couple of hours, it's good. Affordable and it covers well, set it with a good powder and you're good to go (as in, increase the longevity.)

3. Cyber Colors "24H Eyebrow Pen"

- It's in '01 Gray', and applies so nicely. It lasts a long time (as the name suggests) and blends easily too. Sometimes I can accidentally overdo it, but since it's a bit waxy, you won't have that problem as much.

4. essence "I ♥ Stage Eyeshadow Base"

- My go-to primer nowadays. I love it a lot!. You can read the review here.

5. SkinFood "Tomato Sun Cream SPF36 PA++"

- My new best friend when I don't want to wear a foundation or BB cream. I don't know why but it just makes my face look a lot put together! I normally wear it at night when I go out XD I'm actually running out of it! It's not too heavy and blends so easily.

6. Rimmel London "Stay Matte Pressed Powder"

- In 'Transparent'. I didn't think this powder keeps me matte for 5 hours, but it really does a good job. Paired with my sunscreen, this is awesome! There's so much product too!

7. The Body Shop "Born Lippy Stick Lip Balm"

- I recently reviewed this. It's my go-to lip balm right now.

8. Revlon "Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick"

- Totally loving 'Mauve it Over' right now! Lovely MLBB lipstick that's not too pink, not too nude. It's just lovely! Doesn't dry me out. Review here.

9. Etude House "Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color"

- In 'Raspberry Mousse Cake'. I use this as a cream blush and it's just lovely. Easy to blend and the colour looks so natural! You can read my full thoughts here.

10. Etude House "Dr. Oil Solution Anti-Shine Mist"

- Recent favourite. Really helps keep the sebum at bay, especially when paired with an oily face product, like BB creams! Kinda sticky.

11. elianto "Cream Concealer (or something LOL)"

- In '03 Warm'. Perfect shade for my skin if I don't wear anything too light! I have a hard shade to match! My face is a lot pinker and darker than the rest of my body that's yellow based. It really does the trick when I don't want to wear a foundation. Just spot concealing and I'm good to go!

--

That's it for the makeup products I'm loving so far. I don't think the sunscreen counts as makeup, but I generally treat it as part of my makeup routine! So it's makeup to me~

I think if I was given a choice, I think I can survive with just these as my makeup products. No eyeliner? That's true. I don't generally use it unless I have a lot of time! With my thick rimmed glasses, you can barely see them anyway!

I will definitely do some in-depth reviews for some of the products! Anything you'd like to see first?

'til then, take care!

UK Haul :D (Through My Parents)

Yes, you read that right.
Through my parents! LOL.

They just came back from the UK. They were there for my sister's graduation.

I didn't ask for much, I actually got all the things I asked for, and some.

My dad kinda indulged in some pricey skincare ( ;^; ) I feel like they scammed him! (I wish he'd remember the price tbh, so I can check)

If it works well though, then I'd be in a pickle to see if I'd EVER repurchase them XD

My mom bought me some questionable clothes. In small sizes because she thought I'm stick thin now.
FALSE.

Oh mom XD;

Anyway, here's what they got me~

Mom's Picks.
The blue shirt is from Forever21. I quite liked that one.
It fits well.

THEN comes the weird shirt with tassels everywhere! Mom thought it'd suit me.
Uh. Mommmmmmmm noooo.

Plus it's S-sized. I'm an L.

It fits, but I look so fat in it.
Plus, my niece said I looked like a bird.

The black lace shirt is pretty but...it's a lace backing and lace peplum and stuff.
Looks good but too revealing and I look fat XD

The white lace shirt is cute but mom got it in M-size u.u;
I look super fat.

To fit these small clothes, I need to lose at least 5-10KG.

She also got me this sweater from H&M. It fits fine.
MOTIVATION!!!!

Dad's Picks.
Dad got me some cute trousers :D it looks nice.
He also picked a Dorothy Perkins' dress~

Mom insisted on choosing a smaller size but thankfully dad decided to keep the larger one.
By far, the dress is my favourite.

I've been slowly trying to see if the Peter Pan collar fits me but mom took it very seriously and chose it all based on that XD;

But yeah, losing that much weight might be beneficial for me.

Soap&Co. Stuff
When dad took this out of his bag, he was like "This cost 100+ pounds."
He said this while taking out the Body Scrub.

I was like "WHAT."

A scrub that cost that much??? FOR REAL?? DAD!!!

After all the confusion it turned out that overall everything cost that much.
Still, quite expensive really.

I feel like the saleslady scammed him though :x

Dad got me the Ocean Body Scrub, Mineral Peeling Gel and the quite popular Nail Kit in Passion.

Next are the things I asked from my mom!

Two of each!
MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer (BOGO I think)
She bought two of the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder in Transparent.

LUSH is LOVE.
Then comes the things I asked for from LUSH :D
She got all the things I wanted plus one extra.

The Power Liquid Lipstick!
LUSH gave some free disposable makeup applicators since my mom asked lol.
I wished they gave some samples from their soap or something!

I tried both Herbalism and Mask of Magnaminty...
LOVED the smell of the mask!! It's like Peppermint & Pistachio Ice Cream!
It contains no pistachios though.

My first Coach bag.
Mom decided to buy everyone a Coach bag.
( =w=* ) MOMMMM.

I have the purple one lol. It's for Raya so I didn't mind.
I personally don't really like Coach, to be completely honest.

How pretty is that??
Last but not least, a shawl from my sister.
I chose a blue one to fit my with new baju kurung.

Well, I hope it'll fit!

Have you guys prepared for Raya? LOL.

I feel spoiled :x Alhamdulillah though!
I wished the clothes were a lot bigger though, but still, it acts as motivation to lose weight XD

But if I DO lose weight, that means everything else would be loose D:

EEK.

Choices, choices.

But it'd be nice to be healthy and smaller in size for once.

I've never been thin.

Anyway, I'm a bit tired lol.

'til then, take care!!
