Skin Problems Again...

It sucks.
It's already the 17th of July and I haven't updated in a while.

Right now I have the Etude House Wonder Pore Modeling Clear on my face.
Here's my impromptu first impression:

It smells....not so good. It smelled okay at first and then it smells weird.
It smells like spirulina?

I like that it's cooling on the skin though, but very hard to apply evenly. It takes a while to mix it up to a consistency you can use before it hardens.

I'm just using 1/4 of it, and I think I can use it for another 3-4 times. Granted that I store it well.
Now I'm just waiting for it to dry.

Have you guys shopped at Etude House recently? With the sale and stuff? I think I should get some more stuff before the promotion ends on the 19th. Not that I need anything else I think.

I've been refraining well from buying unnecessarily even with all the sales going on I guess.

Wanting to use up my makeup is a bit tricky I guess. I know some foundations and BB Creams won't break me out but having to finish them all with just one face? I've learned my lesson x.x;

Reviews? Yeah...I should, but pictures are tricky.


My battle with clogged pores are never-ending, especially on my jawline and cheeks. Even when I'm not wearing makeup it's still clogged so...might be my skincare. The only thing I notice that may have caused this is either my toner or the fact that I ran out of my trusty Neutrogena cleanser.



I want to believe it's the latter.
Or the cleansing cream or oil I use that's not really cleaning my face well?


My skin behaved so so well for months already and I freak out when it is out of balance.

I should get the Neutrogena cleanser again I guess!!!


It could also be a hormonal problem.
Well, my doctor did say something about my hormones are concerning. Just a little. I'll be having another blood test in September to see if I'd need to go see a OB/GYN or not.


I'll try and get some photos and reviews up soon...been feeling a bit down though.

Ah well.

Beauty Tools I Kinda Want...

There's not a lot, but they are useful. At least one of these items, I REALLY do need.
I have a lot of tools, like the PMD and the facial sauna.

I also have the Sigma Spa Solutions (the full kit) and it sucks.
That's a big regret! I kinda wanna use it just for the body.

Shu Uemura S-Curler

I really need this, the one I have right now sucks.

The one I use now is from Daiso. It's okay, considering I've had it for years...but it still pinches my lids sometimes!

I bought a small curler from Daiso also and that is even worse. I don't even know what I can use it for.

A big regret of mine was not getting this last year in KK.

It looks scary from the picture but considering that it doesn't have the sides to pinch, that's already selling it for me.

I'm not a big mascara user but it's starting to grow on me.  BOUGHT :D

I haven't decided which tree I'd get but I just want it for the fact that it has that middle thing.

I made my own, something similar BUT I'm lacking the middle support. It's very hard to work with (the one I made) and this just seems a lot easier.

But it's not a priority. If I can make the support one of these days, I wouldn't need this.

My face has been doing okay, I do have occasional break outs but that doesn't concern me as much.

My main concern are clogged pores. I HATE THEM.

They won't go away. I don't wanna invest in another clay mask until I finish what I already have but the masks I have aren't that good ;-;

Clogged pores, unclog yourselves, PLEASE.

Of Etude House and PMD (and other things)

I went to Etude House in Times Square tonight lol.
I wanted to get something for my acne.

My acne cleanser was running out (St Ives one, the milder one) and I read many good reviews about AC Clinic treatment so I decided to buy a cleanser in the end. Lol, I actually wanted to get a waterproof concealer because the SkinFood one isn't waterproof (effin' sad because it's my favourite one) or an eyeshadow base (God, Canmake one sucks), I even contemplated getting a neutral quad but God, the pigmentation sucked LOL.

I think (sorry, if you love Korean cosmetics) that all the Korean cosmetics out there, in terms of eyeshadows, suck. They're all so glittery. Not shimmery, GLITTERY. Yes, you read that right, glitter.

Even Japanese ones are like that. I ask them why. They never answer, just give more glitter. GLITTER THIS, GLITTER THAT.

GLITTERMANIA.

I was swatching some of them, I thought some were nice but then I got distracted by all the unnecessary glitter. There was one of them that was basically glittermania and no pigmentation. And it was a brown one too!!! Like wtf.

LOL.

*end short rant*

Anyway, I asked the sales assistant (God, I loved her, I LOVED HER) about what the products are for, etc. I was testing her too, to see her knowledge, she was knowledgeable, which was commendable. Because, to remember all the details in a cosmetics shop is hard work. I think. Yeah. Plus she was nice and patient. Helpful especially. So I asked her what would be her recommendation for the clogged pores/small bumps inside the skin.

She recommended this:

AC Clinic White-Trouble Bubble Cleanser (cutest thing ever)

Not a lot of people favor this as it is gentler than the foaming cleanser? I read it that it's like that. But I used it tonight and I liked it :O It didn't leave my skin tight and it felt refreshed, even.

With that, she gave some samples of the same range :D

 I used the 2-step toner and the Pink Powder Spot treatment!!
The Essencializer is impossible to use!!!

The pizza was so-so.
It had good crust though.

I look quite disheveled tonight.

It cost around BND220 with shipping and extra disks. Not too shabby.

Remedies In The Eyes of Old People

So, I'm sure I've complained about my acne and clogged pores long enough.
Well what do you know? I'm still suffering it.

Not surprising.

Today, I've decided to just follow what my mom's been telling me for weeks.

Use Bunga Kuduk-Kuduk.
Don't know what that is? Unfortunately I don't know the scientific name either.

But it was a remedy my mom and many other old folks believe to heal scars, but I didn't want to believe it.
Because I used to use it, to me it didn't do anything but I was young and I forgot if it worked or not.

Plus, I thought that infected my brother's wound until he had to go to the hospital!!!

Talk about trauma.

Anyway, here's the flower:

Bunga Kuduk-Kuduk

It kinda looks scary LOL.

I asked my maid to get some for me. They grow in the wild :O

They do!!

I wish we can just grow them so there'd be no dangers of snakes.

Basically, what I do is I make sure my face is cleansed first (preferably with rice water), if not, I scrub my face with it prior, and then I clean with anti-bacterial cleanser and then rub it on my face again.

I think for proper scrubbing, you use the whole flower.

For gentler scrubbing, use the petals only.

After that, leave some on your face, especially on darker scars.

Like so. I didn't edit my face here.

 You can't really see it but both my cheeks are horrendous. With clogged pores and what not.

What I noticed is that it kinda smoothed out the bumps (a bit).

Dried, bruised petals.

After that, I remove and use something moisturizing. Preferably, oil free.

LOL.
I sound as if I've been doing this for a while.

NO.
Just today.
Day and night.

And I feel it kinda work. Kinda.

Some scars lightened up a bit but maybe that's just psychologically.

But yeah.
Have you tried this method?

Acne, GO AWAY ):

I would love to tell you guys about my acne story but you see, I'm battling it like hell right now ):
Truthfully, it upsets me a lot. My self-confidence went down by a lot and I feel like I can't survive without covering it up.

I was banned from heavy makeup by my dad but still, I can't help it.
The least I can do is cover up the scars.

I never faced very difficult teenage acne, you see. Usually it's just on my T-Zone, forehead, jaw...nose? lol.

But yeah, it only started late last year? Well, toward the end of 2011. Probably since October?
Getting acne almost every single day.

Confidence level going down....sometimes I had to rely on makeup to go to school (which is forbidden btw)

( ;-; ) and it was even worse when the ex kept pointing it out.

( ;-; ) I really don't know how it happened.

But I think me trying new makeup and not cleansing properly caused it.

And now, I'm stuck with these hideous scars ):
Sometimes they fade, and I'll be happy and then new ones keep popping out.

I don't know.

Stupid SkinTologist ain't helping either ):<
God, money down the drain probably.

I have little hope for them now ):< I wonder if my pores are still clogged by the time it ends. Microdermabrasion my ass. It's still quite active, my acne and clogged pores.

I don't know what to do anymore.

But I may have a glimmer of hope ):

Trying out things on my own.

I'm back to my regimen of using Bio-Oil again. My spot fading cream is not here yet ):< DAMN YOU.

My acne's not under control but I'm trying my best to unclog my pores before my next facial which was supposed to be last week!

If I did go last week, it wouldn't be this clogged I think.

So I've been using my Peppermint Pore Diet mask twice in a row ):
And tonight I saw some major change.

Well, after peeling the mask.
My face seemed brighter and some of the scars I think...well, peeled a bit? I don't know.

I know it's not healthy to deep clean everyday but who knows if this mask is too mild I have to use it everyday.

I'll try again tomorrow ): until my next facial.

The least I can do is try to unclog the stubborn pores.

( ;_; ) do you have any suggestions to unclogging pores?

I tried AHA-BHA products and they cause more bumps instead.

Salycilic Acid doesn't seem to work too.
And Benzoyl Peroxide.

Nor does Tea Tree Oil.

ARGGHHHHHH

I feel very very down today.

I hope I'll be okay.
